Hannah sighed, giving up. "Alright, fine. But I want to leave soon." She closed her eyes again, knowing she was tired but not wanting to sleep.

 

"Sleep," Edward insisted. "Just for a little while. I will go down and help Van Helsing prepare the carriages and the horses... or I can stay here with you. It's your choice."

 

"Either...." Hannah said quietly, already drifting.

 

"You rest," Edward said, leaning down to kiss her cheek. "I'll be back soon."

He stood, and then went over to the window to shut the heavy cloth curtains against the late afternoon sun. He walked quietly to the door and shut it silently behind him.

Van Helsing better take a while getting ready,Edward thought as he walked toward the stables. She needs to rest...

Beatrice looked up at Edward, a bit surprised that he had left the room. She deliberated whether she should go back in and keep an eye on Hannah or follow Edward.

 

"Well," Edward said as he reached Van Helsing and Carl. "It's good to see both of you again. What can I do to help?"

Beatrice decided, akwardly, to just wait outside the door for Hannah.

 

"I'll tell you what you'll do," Van Helsing began, turning to Edward. "Get rid of that."

He pointed to Elijah.

 

"What?" Edward asked. "Now? What the h.ell do you expect me to do with it?"

 

"I don't care," Van Helsing said. "But I don't want it around here, and neither should you considering how it affects Jinx and Hannah. So... it's got a cloak over it... get rid of it somewhere! The woods, the street, the garbage gutters, I don't care!"

Beatrice listened carefully for any noises inside the room. She wanted to make sure that Hannah was okay, but she knew Hannah didn't like being near her.

BIC: Jinx passed Edward and walked up to the room. "Hey Beatrice, how's Hannah?" she asked, seeing her outside the room.

Carl was looking at the body, feeling his stomach wanting to rebel. "My god, what did you people do to him?" he asked, looking away from the body to VAn Helsing and Edward.

'Edward had some issues with gun control," Van Helsing muttered, not watching Edward try to scoop up the remains of Elijah in his arms. "Don't worry. He'll clean the place up."

Carl nodded, making sure not to look at the remains, "Okay, well I'll make a point not to get on his bad side." he laughed slightly. "And I thought you were bad."

 

Edward muttered something under his breath, gathering all of Elijah that he could under the cloak and turning toward the forrest.

"I'll put him out there," he mumbled, and then turned to leave the stables and go into the nearby trees. He walked along, trying to ignore the smell coming from the body. He trudged through and past several areas of trees, and then finally found a ditch nearby that was full of leaves.

"Perfect for you," Edward grunted, and tossed Elijah's body into the trench, leaves poofing up and flying around the air in a flurry.

Edward turned around to go, running a hand through his hair. Hannah better feel well soon, he thought. We need to go but I'd hate to force her into an awful carriage ride with a wound that will probably heal very slowly in that location...

 

"She's just sleeping now. I think she's okay." Beatrice responded.

 

Van Helsing sighed, holding a hand up to himself, mocking shock. "Me?" he asked incredulously. "You're joking! I am never as disgusting as Edward here! I am ashamed to think you believe me so... inhuman!"
