Van Helsing

Elijah slumped the large sack on the counter once he got inside the butcher shop. At his dad's question, he answered, "Deer. Where's Angelyn?"

"She's out for a walk. Said she was tired of being inside."

Elijah rolled his eyes and went back outside to search for his sister.

 

OOC: by the way, boobra is in the stables with the horseys.... duh!!!

Van Helsing walked inside the Vatican and into a confession cell. "Bless me father for I have-"

"Sinned, I know," the cardinal snapped back, and opened the door for Van Helsing to follow him down a dark passageway. "Move it, already."

Van Helsing walked down the passageway, and they finally came down to a large room full of monks, friars, and cardinals, all working on different experiments.

"I got rid of those damned werewolves, you know," he spoke now. "Well... all but the little girl... I never saw her. And some brides-"

"I know already," the cardinal cut him off. "We have our ways of finding out events when you don't send letters like you should. You are being sent back to Transylvania, though... and Carl is going with you!"

 

Edward opened his eyes, having no idea where he was or what had happened in the last few days. He was in a strange room... and then he saw Hannah."

"Hey," he tried to speak, but his throat was dry and his voice cracked. "Where the hell are we?"

 

Hannah put a finger to his lips. "Shh. Vatican City; you were... shot." She tried to smiled, but ended up crying. "I thought I'd lost you. Oh God, I'm sorry Edward. I should have left you alone like you told me. I'm so sorry....""

 

Carl spun around at the sound of name and 'going with'. He decided to let the cardinal talk with Van Helsing before inquiring where exactly he was going and what he was going to be doing.

 

"I know I was shot..." Edward mumbled, trying to sit up and then falling back with a cry on his arm. He looked at the bandage with a frown for a moment and then back at Hannah. "What are all these sorrys for?"

 

"Go make friends," the cardinal snapped, and left Van Helsing with Carl.

'Well," Van Helsing sighed. "What's stuck up his holy ass today?" He laughed at the horrified look on Carl's face. "Sorry..." he muttered. "So... what are we looking at and how do we kill it?"

 

"If I had left you alone, you wouldn't have had to run off...." Hannah sobbed.

 

"A werewolf, and two vampires." Carl said, recovering from the shock and tossing a bag at Van Hesling. "The werewolf being the one you missed. The vampires being Dracula and the remaining bride. I'm actually surprised you didn't killl them all." He started loading things in the bag.

 

"I see..." Van Helsing said, thinking about Jinx and Hannah. Hell, if Carl told me they needed to die, it would give me justification anyway...

"Carl," he began slowly. "I have some... friends... I need you to meet."

 

"I wouldn't say that," Edward replied, putting a hand to his aching forehead. "I hate the word 'if.' Do you even want to know what happened?"

 

Carl dropped a ring of garlic in the bag before looking at Van Helsing. "You have friends?" He quickly grabbed more arrows for Van Helsing's unual bow and put them in the bag. "You're not going to kill them are you?" He asked, half joking.

 

Hannah bit her lip. "O-okay.... I just can't stand to see you hurt...."

 

OOC: ACK! soooo sorry! our power went out last night and i couldn't get the comp to start. >.<; sorry sorry!

BIC: Jinx, feeling awkward next to Hannah and Edward, queitly slipped away. She put a quick glamor over herself and walked down the street. She walked past the church and wrinkled her nose, feeling something pulling her away from it. Holy water, relics, crosses... and I would so love to go in and just see what's inside... she walked quickly past it, looking around for a forest with wildlife in it.

 

"God, I never felt the way I did the other night..." Edward began, a little embarrassed and confused at the same time. "During a full moon, I mean... I never have wanted to hurt anyone before, and the other night, I... I just kep thinking these awful things that I really wanted to do at the time. That's why I wanted you to stay away. If you had left me alone, I wouldn't have jumped that cliff and gone off."

 

"Yes, I may kill some of them," Van Helsing replied with a cynical grin, half serious half joking. "But they are some special people, Carl... and when you meet them, you must do exactly as I tell you regarding them. Understand?"

 

Hannah hung her head. "I'm sorry...." She repeated.

 

Elijah spotted his sister with a group of girls and decided to lay low and watch them for a while. He was always curious about what she did while he was gone.

 

"What did I say about apologies?" Edward snapped, though he was still smiling. "Well, I was walking and I saw a glow. I wondered what it was, and found out it was a cabin. I could smell the food all the way up the hillside, and I was so hungry... so I went inside. I managed to change, that is, and then went inside. There was a sleeping old woman in a rocking chair by the fire, and she had soup on the fire stove... I ate as much as I could. She woke up and we talked. She seemed a little odd, but nice enough... and then she pulled a gun when I wanted to leave..."
