Van Helsing

Beatrice had woken and was kneeling by Van Helsing next to Edward, with cloth to bind the wound. She had moved quietly and quickly.

 

Hannah gripped Edward's other hand tightly but gently. I'll never forgive myself if he.... Her thoughts trailed off.

 

"Alright, alright, enough," Van Helsing insisted, and grabbed the water, rushing all of it down Edward's arm, then picking up the bandage. He wrapped it and tied it as tightly as he could despite Edward's unconscious struggling.

"Is everyone fine with leaving now to get there fast?" he spoke, standing. "Or..." he looked over at Beatrice yawning, "shall we at sleep a little?"

 

"We should go now." Beatrice said, standing and readying the horses.

 

"Yes." Jinx agreed. "Hannah, do you want to ride with Edward?" she asked, knowing she probably needed to be close to him.

 

OOC: prepare for a time skip! XD (i have to i'm lazy)

Hannah got to her feet, her eyes downcast, and shook her head. "I don't think I can...."

 

"Don't think you can what, Hannah?" Van Helsing asked. "Leave now?"

 

Jinx nodded, quickly changing tactics. "Okay. so Hannah and Beatrice on one horse, and Van Helsing and Edward on the other?" she suggested.

OOC: *preparing for time skip*

 

Hannah nodded, agreeing with Jinx.

 

Beatrice brought over the horses. "They're both ready."

 

"Alright," said Van Helsing, and mounted Lexi. "Give me a hand getting him up here, ladies..."

Jinx and Hannah got Edward to his feet and helped Van Helsing pull him up onto the horse. He held the other man steady, grabbing the reigns around his body.

"Let's go!"

 

Jinx waited for Hannah and Beatrice to get on their horse. "He'll be okay, Hannah." she reasured her, queitly, before starting at a pace to match the horses..

 

* THREE DAYS LATER...*

"Well, that's Rome," said Van Helsing.

 

Jinx looked at the city calmly, taking in all the sents. She cringed as her stomache reacted by growling but ignored it. "So where is this the church?" she asked Van Helsing.

 

"In the center of the city..." he replied. "You and Hannah should go find somewhere we all can stay for the night. Edward will need that. Plus, I can't take him with me now; they will know what he is and kill him. You will have to take him and Lexi to a stable. I will walk alone... is that fine?"

 

Hannah nodded, quickly agreeing. As she and Jinx were finding the stable and inn, Hannah caught a scent that stood out among the others. She paused for a moment, trying to figure out what, or who, it was and why it smelled so delicious. For a brief moment, she wanted to leave Edward and find the source of the smell, but that quickly passed and she continued with Jinx, ignoring her questioning look. I'll help Edward first. She decided. Then track down whatever that was.

 

Elijah caught sight of a group of new people breaking apart as he walked back to his father's butcher shop. He only recognized one that he'd seen once or twice before, and the man was heading to the place he always did: the church. Elijah considered following one of them to find out about them, but he had to get back quickly and give his father his catch.

 

Jinx frowned, taking Edward, with Hannah, to their rooms. "Hannah, go look for whatever it its." she said, sitting down on the floor. "I'll go hunting when you get back." she smiled at her, and waved her hand as if to say, 'shoo, go'.

OOC: should i bring in Carl when Van Helsing gets to the church? ^-^

 

Van Helsing turned after handing Lexi's reigns over to Jinx. The horse gave him a sad look over Jinx's shoulder, as if she didn't want to leave him. Van Helsing sighed, walking toward the church.

I wonder what everyone in the Knights of the Holy Order are going to say... probably 'Go back to Transylvania and find Dracula with Carl!' What else?

 

Hannah stroked Edward's hair. "I should stay with him." She said, feeling oblijied. "It's my fault...."
