Van Helsing

Aleera hissed. "Another one, hm?" She let go of Hannah, snickering when Jinx dropped her. "Not very good, are you?" She dove after Hannah, catching her by her ankles. Her eyes suddenly widened and she screeched, echoed by Verona. "Marishka!" She let go of Hannah.

Verona threw Edward aside, and flew after Aleera, catching Hannah on the way. Both brides quickly made their way to Dracula at Frankenstein's castle.

 

Edward opened his eyes, then cried out, a large plain exploding in his head. He looked around and saw the two brides flying off, shrieking the third's name.

He stood up slowly, holding the bump on his head and rubbing the blood off with the back of his palm. He looked at Beatrice questiongly.

"What happened?" he asked. She pointed over to the tree where Marishka lay, now disintergrated into a pile of bones and ashes.

"He killed a bride?" Edward whispered. "Oh... that can't be good. Hey," he said, turning around to see Jinx landing and Van Helsing shouldering his gun. "Where the hell is Hannah?"

 

Aleera's sobs echoed with Verona's inside the walls of Frankenstein's castle.

Hannah opened her eyes slowly, trying to remember what happened and figure out where she was. She expected the stone beneath her to be cold, but it was warm from the fire all around the wall in little torches. She tried to sit up but only accomplished rolling onto her side. Bloody hell.... She thought angrily.

 

"Hello, Hannah."

 

Edward looked around, staring at Beatrice and Jinx. Van Helsing had turned around and was pacing, seeming to be thinking very hard. "Well?" Edward cried. "What the hell happened to her?!"

 

The fear that ran through Hannah propelled her to sit up. She put a hand on her head, a wave of dizziness passing through her head. She'd recognize that voice anywhere. "Nice to see you too." She muttered sarcastically, making her way to her feet while avoiding looking at Dracula. "But I've got to be going."

 

"I'm afraid it is going to be impossible for you to leave."

"Aleera took her," Van Helsing said, still pacing and not looking at Edward.

 

"They took her?" Edward repeated incrdulously, walking over to Van Helsing, anger glaring in his eyes. "You couldn't stop them?"

Van Helsing opened his mouth to reply, but Edward cut him off: "No! You're the Van Helsing for Christ's sake and you couldn't stop them from taking her? What is wrong with you?!"

 

Hannah's heart was pounding, and she felt she needed to sit down; but she stayed standing and kept her gaze away from Dracula. "I won't stay here." She said defiantly.

 

"You don't have a choice."

"Edward, calm down," Van Helsing said, stepping back from the man. "We know where they went... and we still have Jinx to help tell us where they might have gone."

 

"That's the best you can do?" Edward cried. "Ask Jinx to tell us which general direction they went in? They are flying, Van Helsing! We'll never catch them, and, even if we do, you will kill Dracula and then kill her!"

 

Hannah turned to look at Dracula. "Don't have a-" She was cut off when her gaze met his. She was lost for words as a strange empty feeling swept through her. She wanted to run or yell the foulest curse she could think of, but she found she couldn't do either.

 

"That's the reason why you can't leave."

"Edward, Hannah is a vampire," Van Helsing began. "She can take care of herself... she's a creature that--"

But Edward cut off Van Helsing's sentence, smashing his fist hard across his face.

 

"Don't talk about her like that!" Edward hissed, pulling his fist back and shaking his hand slightly. "You need her help and you know it, so don't insult her!"

 

"What do you want?" Hannah managed to ask, trying to break eye contact. Her fear now mixed with anger, and strangely, adoration.

 

OOC: I WANT YOUR BABIES... TO EAT!!! jk...

BIC: "You seem to have made some friends..."

"Edward..." Van Helsing began, rubbing his jaw a little. "You need to calm down or I will leave you here, understand?"

 

"Fine," Edward began. "I'm sorry. It's just... Jinx, you need to tell us where they might have gone so we can get going now!"

 

"I doubt it." Hannah mumbled, still lost in Dracula's eyes.

 

"My brides have told me differently... friends don't seem like something you would do."

"Well, Jinx?" Van Helsing spoke. "Give us a hand before Edward explodes."

 

"Shut up!" Hannah yelled, breaking away from Dracula's gaze. "You don't know anything about me!
