Van Helsing

"I hear something..." Van Helsing muttered a few minutes later. "Wait..."

He pulled up Lexi's reigns, and Edward and Beatrice came to a stop behind him.

"What--?" he heard Edward begin, but held up a hand to silence him.

"Hush," he whispered. He looked over at his shoulder and Hannah. "Can you tell what it is?"

Sylis left his house to go hunting with his ha and coat he walked outside his house

 

Jinx noticed them stopping and scowled. She held on to the tree was in and leaned foward to see more clearly what they were doing. What do you hear, Van Helsing? she wondered, keeping as still as a statue so she wouldn't make any noise.

Hannah gave Van Helsing a look. "I didn't see anything, but yes, I heard something. I don't know what it was though."

 

It's her, Edward thought, his werewolf inuition starting up again without his consent. She's in the tree... by why hide from us? Van Helsing said she knew him and Hannah... I guess not very well, huh?

Edward caught Van Helsing's eye and gestured slightly with his head up the tree. The other man cocked his head slightly, not understanding, and then nodded.

 

"Jinx!" Van Helsing cried a moment later, hoping to scare her out of the tree. It didn't. He pulled out his large, automatic bow and arrow. "We'd all like you to come down here and talk to us... nothing personal, but if I have to shoot you out of the trees, I will."

 

Hannah put a hand on Van Helsing's arm. "Don't. She's done nothing wrong. You can't do that to her."

 

Sylis walked into some trees looking for something to hunt

 

"What do you mean she's done nothing wrong?" Van Helsing said, turning to catch Hannah's eye maliciously. "She killed an innocent man back in your town! There are no other vampires there and I know she did it! Jinx!" he raised the volume of his voice suddenly, but still kept Hannah's gaze. "Come down now or life will not be easy... or long... for you!"

 

Anger flaired up in Jinx at Van Helsing's words and she jumped down, landing as loudly as she could, in front of him. "How dare you!" she growled at him, no longer bothering to hide her teeth and eyes, "You 'know I did it'?! You don't know anything!" she looked him straight in the eye, letting him see her anger as well as hear it. Just like every other human, thinks he knows me because he knows the rumors...

 

Hannah got down from Lexi and stood protectivly in front of Jinx. "Until you have some proof," She said to Van Helsing. "I'm not letting your harm her."

 

Jinx stepped around Hannah, not letting her protect her, "I don't need you to take care of me, thank you very much." she said, still not letting her glare drop from Van Helsing, "Let him do what he wants, I can answer for myself. And I'll answer truthfully, as I have been doing this whole time." she added.

 

Hannah gave Jinx a dirty look. Does she want to be killed?!

Meanwhile!! XD

"My lord..." Aleera approached Dracula, followed by Marishka and Verona. "There is someone else with Rose.... We couldn't get close to her for too long."

 

Jinx ignored the look completely, sorry, Hannah. Thanks for wanting to help, but I think you have enough problems being not-human yourself. she thought to herself, keeping frozen still.

BIC: Edward, having no idea was came over him, jumped down from Sorin and walked over to stand by Jinx. "She didn't do it," he began. Hannah shot him a look, but the tension in the air was too much for him to keep silent.

 

"What the hell are you talking about?" Van Hesling snapped, glaring at Edward. "You weren't even there!"

 

"She did it," Edward completed suddenly, pointing at Hannah. Everyone fell silent and Hannah gave him an incredulous, furious look. "She's a vampire, Van Helsing. She didn't mean to, but she killed Henry."
