"So..." Edward asked as they rode. "You lived on the little farm here your whole life?"

 

"Do you have anything to prove it?" Hannah asked.

 

Beatrice nodded. "It's really all I've known."

 

"How much do you know about werewolves?" Edward asked tentatively now.

 

"Proof?" Van Helsing repeated. "All I need to do is talk to her... she'll give me some evidence of whether she did it or not. I'm not worried about it... I mean, I really hope she didn't do it because I don't want to kill her. We need information she may have."

 

"That's all you want? Information?" Hannah asked. "So once you have what you want, you'll kill her?"

 

"Not much. The same as Dracula really." Beatrice answered.

 

"If that's what she deserves for killing an innocent man, then yes," he replied.

 

"Oh, great," Edward replied. "So werewolves don't creep you out?"

 

Hannah was silent. It's no doubt that things would be better without us, but he is a little harsh.

 

"Why wouldn't they?" Beatrice asked.

 

"what do you plan to do when you see Dracula?" Van Helsing asked when she was silent.

 

"Well," Edward began uneasily. "Because werewolves are still people like the rest of us."

 

"Kill him." Hannah said plainly. "Um...." She thought for a moment. "Well, I don't know how, but I'll figure it out."

 

"Brilliant," Van Helsing said sarcastically. "At least I have a plan."

 

"Well, yes, but... but they kill." Beatrice said.

 

"And what plan is that?" Hannah asked.

 

"I'm not telling you," he muttered with a smile. "It might creep you out."

 

"So do humans," Edward commented. "And people don't go around killing us."

 

"Try me." Hannah challenged.
