OOC: my dada wants the comp so hannah and i shall be back soon

BIC: "In the forest; close to us." Hannah answered. "Give them a moment. Beatrice hasn't been around human blood like that before."

Beatrice tried to focus on Sorin. She closed her eyes, letting his image come before her closed lids. When she focused on him this much, she could almost smell his familiar, musky smell. But the scent of blood was still playing at the back of her mind.

It's different for everyone, I suppose. John mumbled.

BIC: Jinx kept a grip on Beatrice's shoulders but could feel her getting less tense. "Okay, now keep Sorin in your mind. We can wait here awhile if you need."

 

"I punched a tree, if you must know, Carl," Van Helsing snapped, shutting his eyes.

 

Edward nodded. "This just occured to me, but... should we really be stopped here? I don't think it's safe."

Lestat nodded. Very true... I've told that to many others, trust me.

 

"No, we shouldn't be." Hannah agreed. She looked at the sky, her eyes unconsciously searching for the moon. She hissed, her eyes burning gold, when she saw the outline in the sky coming towards them. She knew who it was and wanted nothing more than join Aleera in the sky and tear her limb from limb.

Aleera landed close to Edward and Hannah, but not close enough to be within their reach. She clucked her tongue and shook her head at Hannah. "So rude, so rude." He light pink sleeves billowed in the wind. "Hannah, dear, my master can help you. He has something that can get rid of that nasty blood in your veins." Aleera smiled, showing her fangs.

Hannah bared her own fangs, not even considering the offer. "Go stake yourself, Aleera." She growled.

Aleera fought to keep her temper under control. "Now, now, Hannah. Think about it. Of course," Her eyes burned light purple and she flew back up. "There are conditions."

"Hold me." Hannah instructed Edward through grit teeth as Aleera flew away. As much as she wanted to, she knew it would be no help to her group if she went after Aleera now.

Beatrice hung her head, starting to feel a bit more normal. "We should get back."

Listen to yourself. John told Lestat. You sound like a weaping human.

 

"What did the tree do to you?" Carl asked, tying up Van Helsing's hand.

Jinx nodded and started back with Beatrice to the others, keeping one hand on her shoulders just in case. "I think he cleaned it up a bit, it's not so harsh..." she commented, warely.

 

Van Helsing winced when the as the bandages tied around his knuckles. "Not as much as Will," he murmured, almost inaudibly, not wanting to talk about it.

 

Edward did as he was told, wrapping his arms tightly around Hannah and pulling her close against his chest. He could feel her wanting to tug away, but he was more than strong enough to keep her still right now. "Why can't everyone just leave you alone so I can have you to myself?" he tried to joke, but his smile faded quickly.

 

There is nothing wrong with emotion, my friend, Lestat murmured. I can't imagine life with the passion, sorrow, and rage I have felt... I'm sorry you cannot relate.

BIC: Carl glanced at Van Helsing's expression, "Oh, I see." he nodded. "Well, I won't ask you about it, I know that look. But I hope you won't take a leaf out of Edward's book and hide anything important."

 

I like it this way. John muttered in repsonse.

"Seems I'm quite popular." Hannah answered, her tone sour. She was barely aware of how tense she was, how her muscles were ready to spring after Aleera. She didn't notice how she leaned against Edward's hold in the slightest struggle. "Don't let go of me."

Beatrice kept her head lowered. She was fully aware of as the scent grew stronger when they got closer. She covered her nose with one hand and kept close to Jinx.

 

Van Helsing tried to smile. "Carl, I cannot hide anything from you; you know me too well and I wouldn't want to in the first place. Therefore, with your big mouth, everyone will know soon enough."

 

"Never," Edward smiled. "You really don't have to ask me twice... even though it's nice to hear."

 

Lestat smiled in the slightest. If you say so...

BIC: Carl laughed, "I'll keep my big mouth closed for a bit, anyway. Besides, I think we both know you won't keep your big mouth closed either, at least not with some people." he looked away innocently. "Oh, the two ladies are back." he said quickly, before Van Helsing could say anything else.

"Oh, one more thing that might help." Jinx said, quietly, before they got too close to the others, "Try not to breathe too much." she was trying to take her own advise at the same time but found it harder than it should have been. "So, should we get going before anything else happens?" she asked, when they were closer to everyone.

 

Van Helsing turned to Jinx and Beatrice arrived. "Yes," he said, not glancing back at Carl. "If we stay still any longer another one of your friends might arrive."

"What does that mean?" Jinx asked, confused. "What happened?"

Carl looked away from them, keeping quiet.

 

Van Helsing frowned further, full of worry. "Your Will came by," he said quietly.

 

Jinx's breathed in sharply, and instantly regretted it. "What did he want?" she asked. "Is he why your hands hurt?"
