Van Helsing

"Hmm," Lestat thought, nodding. "I would like to scare him a bit, though..."

 

"So long as they deserve it or you were defending yourself and you didn't hurt them more than nessasary, it doesn't count." Jinx stated, smiling.

 

"Then come with me. I didn't say you couldn't." Hannah tried to smile.

"You're going to willingly upset a werewolf?" John tried not to laugh.

 

"Oh, I see," Van Helsing grinned. "Well, when you put it that way..."

 

"Anyway!" Jinx cut him off, laughing. "Getting back to reality and away from the rules of beating up women... what are we planning with Dracula?"

 

"I know," Edward said, standing and then gripping the back of his head, his hair matted down with blood there and the room began to spin. He shook off Hannah's hand and tried to smile. "I'm fine," he insisted. "Let's go find... what did you call her? Oh: Bee."

 

Lestat chuckled. "Sure," he replied happily. "I don't see why not!"

 

"To find him and his castle and kill him," Van Helsing shrugged. "Carl's researching, but it can't be that hard, can it?"

 

"He's still alive, so apprently it can't be that easy." Jinx shrugged. "but hopefully we can kill him without loosing anyone. Plus he only has one bride left alive, and he can't get more. So I think our odds are good."

 

"His odds are good," Van Helsing agreed. "But he can get more brides... if he'd like... which I'm sure he would. Carl is envious," he added with a loud laugh.

 

Jinx looked at him, puzzled. "What do you mean?"

 

"Nothing," Van Helsing sighed. "I wonder what Carl's doing in there anyway," he added more loudly, looking at the bathroom door. "Having fun?"

 

Jinx looked over at the door and then grinned. "he's listening to us." she laughed.

Carl was leaning on the back of the door and laughed back. "You two are ridiculous." he called at them.

 

"Jealous, Carl?" Van Helsing laughed. "Don't be; I'm sure Beatrice is outside."

 

Carl opened the door and looked at the two, "Who could be jealous of you two? You don't even what to say to each other." he laughed and walked out of the room.

"Okay then... what did I miss?" Jinx thought outloud, looking back at the headboard. "Hey I have a question for you. You said you remember all the way back to Roman wars right?"

 

"Bits and pieces, yes," Van Helsing replied, nodding and ignoring Carl. "Why, dear?"

 

"So you've been around for over four centuries..." Jinx continued. "Does that mean you are like a vampire where you and your body are immortal or are you reencarnated over and over?"

 

"I think..." Van Helsing began slowly, not sure what to say. "I think that I'm immortal in a way... but I'm not human and I never have been. It's hard to tell since I have very few moments at all."

 

Jinx turned over on her side again so she could see his expression. "So if you're not human... what do you think you are? And why does the church ask for you help if you're not human? they seem to hate every non human creature that can speak now a days."

 

"The church believes me to be a holy being... an angel or some sort, even; my punishment for my sins of murder is my loss of memory. They are very prejudice, though, yes."
