"Oh, yes," Van Helsing smiled. "Just like the rest of them... you'd think by now that Dracula would have noticed our giant, growing caravan."

"Yeah, I guess we're lucky they all know how to be seen when they want." Carl smiled, "You know I'd actully like to see what happens if Dracula met them. Though they would probably all just run far enough to be watch safely."

Hannah bit her lip, thinking. "I'm not very good at keeping promises." She warned. "But I can try." She paused. "Oh no, Edward... you were in the bathroom.... I meant to clean it out.... Sorry."

"He's not pleased that we're still alive." John explained. "Though I think he might actually want to keep Jinx."

BIC: Will walked through the crowd of people casually, following John's scent now. He walked all the way to the stables and stopped, hearing their voices clearly and leaning on the back wall of the stables. Hm... keeping little Jinx... interesting idea....

 

"I would hope so," Van Helsing replied. "It would be one less thing for us to deal with."

 

"Good enough," Edward sighed, gripping the back of his head. "Because I can't do what I have to do to get rid of John without you very close by... and don't worry about the bathroom."

 

"You'd best be careful what you say, though," Lestat began now. "I can smell him... he's close by... looking for you, maybe..."

 

"Yeah, why do so many people like tormenting other people? It's quite annoying." Carl sighed, "Well, excuse me for a few minutes, i'm going to take advatage of having running water and take a shower."

"Brilliant assumtion." Will said into the trees so they would hear.

 

"Go for it," Van Helsing agreed. "And Carl," he added, a little embarrassed, "thank you for talking with me."

 

Lestat grinned, turning to give Will a small bow. "Good evening, sir," he spoke politely. "John and I were just speaking about you... your intentions, to be more specific, actually."

 

"No problem Van Helsing. What are friends for?" Carl grinned at him and went into the restroom.

Will returned the bow, "Yes, I heard. Interesting thoughts indeed."

 

Van Helsing smiled to himself, though his recent dream still troubled him. He shut his eyes once more after trying to listen for sound next door... there wasn't much.

While there's some quiet between these storms, I will get some more rest, he thought, though he could not drift off to sleep very quickly.

 

"I only have to say that John is someone I do not want to lose just yet, so I would appreciate it if you refrained from dispatching him till later on," Lestat spoke smoothly, giving John the smallest side glance. The man decided to stay silent.

 

"Of course." Will grinned at John. "Why on earth would I harm John anyway?" he asked, innocetly.

Jinx heard the two's voices stop and water start to run. Okay, so you're awake and I don't have to sit here with the wall anymore. she decided, standing up and knocking softly on the door. "Are you ladies decent?" she asked, hoping Van Helsing was awake just so he could hear that. When no one answered she opened the door a crack and saw that he'd fallen back asleep and that Carl must be the one in the shower. She walked into the room silently.

 

"That's exactly what we're both wondering, I'm sure," Lestat replied. "Where I come from, people just don't collect, murder, and own those they create... but I guess your generation is different."

 

"It's possible, I've been around for quite some time." Will kept up his smile. "but I have to ask, what do you mean by 'collect'. I don't collect anything except more age as far as I know."

Jinx hopped up on the window sill as usaul and scanned the room. She tried to avoid looking at Van Hesling, it only annoyed her that she had to even think about it.

 

Lestat shrugged. "I've heard you referred to with that word... but I doubt you've been around that long... when age still matters and seems to accumulate, it means you're still young enough to notice."

 

"Or it means you have to count it." Will added. "Believe me, counting it is my life for a reason." he laughed off the comment, not letting its real meaning show. Figure it out boys. "But no, as far as I am concerned, I do not collect anyone. I mearly test and teach. What is wrong with that, right John? I taught you quite a bit, and all concentrating on your special, if slightly annoying, power."

Jinx leaned back on the window and closed her eyes. Then she started at her toes and tenced, then relaxed, every muscle in her body. "maybe I'll fall asleep." she mused to herself quietly, not meaning it.

 

"Are you sure you need me there?" Hannah asked, worried that she'd get in the way. "You know I won't be able to do much, if I can do anything."

John snarled, "I could do more once you left me alone. I save that for only special circumstances."
