"If you want, then definetly. Do you think it's all animals or just horses?" Jinx asked, cheerfully.

 

"I don't know," Beatrice admitted. "It's only happened once with Sorin."

 

"Well, I guess you'll have to try it out." Jinx grinned. "that's an interesting gift. It fits you perfectly too."

 

"But I don't know how it happened." Beatrice said. "I was just talking with him and then I heard him talk back." She shrugged.

 

"I guess you'll have to start there then." Jinx stated. "And then see what happens."

 

"I guess that would work," Beatrice smiled.

 

"I don't understand it, either," Edward replied. "But, honestly, from what I know about the man, he's doing this for us. I know it's sounds bizzare and wrong, but he's doing it to be a good person, and for what we could be together. That's why I don't think he's a bad person," he added softly.

 

"Thank you, Carl," Van Helsing sighed, and rolled over to fall asleep as the sun began to rise.

 

"Uh huh. What are friends for?" Carl mumbled, falling asleep.

"Well, do you think we should test it now... or... I don't know." Jinx sighed. "sorry, I'm a bit paranoid of going out there now. What do you think?"

 

"I swear I'll kill him if anything goes wrong." Hannah teased, scooching closer to Edward, but trying to to move to fast. Her stomach still wasn't settled, escpecially after filling it with the eight leters that the boy had given her.

Beatrice shook her head. "I don't want to go out either...."

 

"Yeah..." Jinx rolled her eyes. "And so we're stuck here until everyone wakes up." she laughed a little. "This is one of the annoying parts of being a vampire: waiting."

 

"Should we go bother Edward and Hannah?" Beatrice grinned.

 

"Normally I'd say yes... but I really want to let Hannah rest. Now Edward, he needs to be bothered." Jinx smiled. "He's being so stupid keeping everything from everyone."

 

Beatrice looked over at Hannah's door. "Think we can get it out of him?" She smiled.

 

"Hm, yes." Jinx grinned. "If only we could get him out of there..."

 

"Hm," Beatrice rubbed her head. "We'll need something really strong to pull him away from Hannah."

 

"yeah... I don't know anything that would pull him away from her." Jinx laughed. "He's too in love, damn..."

Edward held Hannah tightly to him, running his fingers through her hair and being careful not to put any pressure on her stomach. "I know you will," he sighed. "The sun's coming up now... you should keep resting. Don't let me keep you up."

 

Van Helsing dreamt of empty castles, long corridors, and cold air, things that rushed past him faster than he could reach for his gun... the night was chilled and, no matter how hard he tried to shake his head, a fog stayed around the edges of his vision, as if someone had hit him hard over the head and he couldn't shake the impact... he wandered aimlessly, alone for once, and that empty loneliness seemed to ruin any heightened sense he had.... Focus, he kept trying to tell himself, knowing somehow that Dracula was close by and he need to pay attention. You can do it without them, they're all extra bodies, nothing more... But he couldn't shake the feeling that one on one this time would be completely unfair...

 

Lestat got out of his bed on the second floor of the tavern and wandered off in the direction of the woods.

I don't know if I've done the right thing, he thought to himself, a small bit worried. I have spent my lifetime so far learning all the histories and the rules of my kind, and then I go and severely break each one of the them.... but for a good cause, he added with a smile.
