Van Helsing

Jake casually rode into the town, passing by Edward and Hannah's carriage. He didn't look any longer than a regular passer by would and continued on. Interesting. This makes things a bit more fun.

 

Hannah shook off the memories and sudden wave of emotion. "I'll meet you back here when we're done." She tried to smile but didn't do a very good job. Giving up, she left the carriage to go meet Beatrice and Jinx.

"Okay. We'll just come back here then." Beatrice agreed and then left. "Hannah," She went over to her. "Jinx says we should go now. I guess she's going to go by herself later."

"That's fine. I think she prefers it alone." Hannah said and then headed off with Beatrice to the forest outlining the town.

 

Jake settled his stallion in the stables, paying no particular attention to Jinx. He wanted to make sure he did this right so he wasn't go to make a mess in the stables. He casually headed out and towards the forest, his hand on his gun.

 

"Jinx taught you well enough that you can do it on your own now, right?" Hannah asked.

"I'll be fine." Beatrice assured her.

"I'll leave you to it then." Hannah smiled and headed off after a scent she'd caught instantly.

Beatrice stood there for a moment, enjoying the quiet of the forest. She sighed and then paid closer attention to the forest noises and smells.

 

Jinx smiled to herself, "Not really, girls. I just don't hunt as much as you need to." she said, to herself.

Carl jumped out of the carrige. "Looks like Van Helsing's getting some sleep. Where is everyone else?"

"Beaticce and Hannah are going hunting. I don't know what Edward has planned. I was just going to get a ro-." her head snapped around to look at Jake, as he walked away towards the forest. Her eyes narrowed. "He's a werewolf." she queitly, "He'd better not be going after Beatice and Hannah."

 

Jake grinned to himself when he saw the vampires split up. This makse my job easier. Quickly, before the newborn closest to him to set off after a scent, he jumped out of his hiding place and slammed her against a tree, holding the gun close to her throat incase he needed to slow her down if she tried to fight back.

 

Beatrice instantly wished she'd brought her sword with her. The look in her holder's eyes sent shivers down her spine, nutralizing the instinct to fight back.

 

Jake's grin widened. "What's wrong, newborn? Scared? You damn well should be. I'm going to make sure you don't kill anyone else." He said in a low voice. "I'll make sure you won't feel a thing." He assured and then knocked Beatrice's head against the tree.

 

Beatrice yelped at the pain, her vision blurring and then going black as she passed out.

Hannah grinded to a stop when she heard Beatrice. Did she let the deer kick her or something? She sighed and then turned around and headed back to Beatrice.

 

Jake let Beatrice fall to the forest floor and looked up at the vampire who had come racing back. "I was hoping to do this one at a time, but if you can't wait your turn, you can go first."

 

Hannah bared her fangs, rage builing in her. "Who the hell do you think you are?!"

 

"You shouldn't worry about that." Jake said slyly.

 

Carl looked at Jinx, confused. "How do you know he's a werewolf?"

"He smells horrible." Jinx answered, as if that explained everything. "Can you go get a room for us? I'm just going to make sure of something..."

"Sure." Carl shrugged and walked into the inn to get the room.

Jinx walked into the forest, intending to tail Jake, but someone stopped her.

"Hello dear." Will said, in her ear. "I notice you're not hunting with the other two. Why's that?" he slipped his arms around her waist and let wave after wave of happyness and calm wash over her.

"I... already ate... this week." Jinx breathed out, relaxing in his arms. "Will..." she tried to say something but lost the train of thought as he sent another wave of happyness over her, leaving her in a daze.

 

Hannah lunged at Jake, knocking him away from Beatrice and onto the ground.

 

Jake rolled over, pushing Hannah onto the ground beneath him. "Not a smart move," He breathed, holding the gun to her neck.

 

"Same to you," Hannah muttered and then bit into Jake's wrist. She pulled out at once, coughing out the burning blood.

 

Jake grit his teeth. "That must have hurt you." His wrist hurt of course, but he knew it would be fine in a matter of minutes. "You're not a very good vampire."

 

Hannah started to feel lightheaded. "You're a werewolf?"

 

"It comes in handy when hunting leeches like you." Jake smirked.

 

"Leeches, huh...?" Hannah said, getting an idea. She bit into Jake again and knocked his gun away. Taking her fangs out of him, she kicked him off herself and stood up quickly, swaying.
