"You haven't seen him as angry as he could get, John," Lestat replied seriously. "To put it plainly, he loves her, and there isn't much else that could increase his phyical and mental strength than that emotion."

 

"No. I'm leading you in the wrong direction to kill you." Jinx replied, straight faced.

 

"Like I said, I have a plan." John replied.

 

"Once again, I shan't complain," Van Helsing chuckled. "I think I could handle anything you throw at me."

 

Jinx laughed. "You got thrown into a tree because I punched you, and I wasn't trying to hurt you." she pointed out. "Are you sure you could handle it if I tried to kill you? Not that I would ever actully try and kill you."

 

"Of course I can," Van Helsing smiled. "Well... it depends if you catch me off guard or not... I'll try to be more prepared the next time you touch me."

 

Jinx suddenly stopped in front of him, having moved there faster than he could see to get there. She poked his forehead before he could react. "Ha, you lose." she smiled and continued walking.

 

"Of course you do," Lestat muttered. "Why wouldn't you?"

 

Van Helsing frowned, rubbing his forehead. "I have a feeling you enjoy that much more than I do," he laughed.

 

"Probably, but that's because I won. If you'd won and been able to stop me, you'd have enjoyed it more than me." Jinx reasoned, "this way." she pointed down a path.

 

"What about you?" John waved a hand at Lestat. "What do you plan to do?"

 

"The winning was not what I was referring to," Van Helsing grinned, and walked in the direction she indicated.

 

"Oh, Edward and I have plenty of things to talk about," Lestat explained briefly. "Whenever you need your girl, he and I will be occupied."

 

Jinx glanced at him, "What do you mean?" she asked.

 

Van Helsing laughed harder. "Never mind," he chuckled.

 

Jinx stopped walking and put her hands on her hips, "Yeah right, 'never mind'. Come on, what do you mean?"

 

"Carl...." Beatrice called softly from Sorin's side.

"Thank you," John said reluctantly.

 

"I mean you enjoy touching me a little too much," Van Helsing explained with a grin. "You can't tell me that isn't true."

 

"Oh, any time," Lestat cried with a dramatic bow. "But right now your group seems to be getting back together."

 

Jinx opened her mouth to retort but wasn't sure what to say for a second. "Well... you don't seem to stop me." she finally replied.

"Eh, yes?" Carl answered, not moving from where he was.
