Van Helsing

OOC: i hate the vampire armand for trying to kill my lestat! grrr...

 

"Finally she agrees," Van Helsing muttered to himself. "Thank you, dear," he said softly to Beatrice. "Are you ready to go?"

 

"Aren't we all?" Edward laughed lightly. "It's alright... I just realized, though, that Van Helsing is going to hate me for taking his beloved horse."

 

"You're right.... Can't we just go back to them?" Hannah asked.

Beatrice stopped fiddling with Sorin and nodded at Van Helsing. She walked over to the other carriage and climbed up with Jinx, taking the reigns, ready to follow Van Helsing.

 

'What about John?" Edward asked. "It can't be safe to turn around, can it?"

 

Van Helsing led Sorin out of the clearing slowly, and the horse seemed to be happy that the carriage was so much lighter. They were out of the trees and back on the main road quickly, and the forest streaked past them now as they went.

 

Jinx tried to smile for Beatice but ended up just looking at the horses. She felt like an idiot. Why on earth do I care at all about if he's tired or whatever? I've got to stop thinking like that, honestly... it's not exactly like a human who hunts vampires would really care about me... so why do I keep feeling like... eh... i'm not even sure what I feel like... wow, I'm an idiot... she sighed and menally slapped herself Stop thinking about it, stupid. Give up and just help kill Dracula and John, then move on and take care of Will yourself. There, that's more like it.

 

"You know," Beatrice said, trying to break the silence. "We don't know these horses names." She gestured to the two pulling their carriage.

"I'd love to just kill him." Hannah glared at the ground. "But I guess you're right... we should just keep moving."

 

"Yeah, I guess we'll have to name them ourselves..." Jinx answered. "What do you name a horse...?"

 

"It's up to you," Edward suggested. "If you think it will be okay to go back, we can. We just need the shelter of the carriages and the trees by the time sun comes up."

 

Van Helsing swore to himself, picking up Jinx's thoughts. He was angry with her and, even though he promised never to look into her head, it was as if he did it unconsciously.

Let her be mad, he thought subbornly, though he really didn't want her to be. Oh, well... let time decide, and, if she wants to go with that stupid Will, so be it.

 

"Usually something that describes them." Beatrice answered, though she could tell Jinx wasn't really interested.

"No, I'm fine here." Hannah said, smiling a bit.

 

"Eh... what describes them?" Jinx asked, trying to sound more interested. Although honestly all she could tell about the horses was that tehy were strong and good at running, but all horses were like that.

 

"Alright," Edward replied. "You sound like you don't want to talk... is everything okay?""

 

"No, it's not. You saw me, Edward; what I'm really like." Hannah clenched her fists. "The monster I am. And don't try to tell me it'll be okay, because I know it won't. What if I come across someone like that girl? Or even her again? And what if you're not there? I'll give Van Helsing a reason to do his job no matter how much I don't want to."

"Well they're both mares." Beatrice started. "Bay is a nice color, but it doesn't do much for names. Hm...."

 

"Then I guess I'll always have to be there," Edward replied, tightening his grip around her. "I don't have a problem with that."

 

"Call them Jinx and Beatrice," Van Helsing muttered to himself. "That's perfect."

 

Jinx tried to ignore Van Helsing's comment. I hate having good hearing sometimes... "Um... how about Saphire for one." she suggested, recalling a horse somewhere being yelled at by that name. "And I don't know any other good mare names... I just remember that one from somewhere and it sounds femine." she shrugged.

Will smiled to himself, walking swiftly after the carriges in the woods. He could practicly feel the resentment between the hunter and the vampire. This will be very simple...

 

Beatrice was a bit surprised she could hear Van Helsing so clearly. "That sounds good," She said to Jinx. "So for the other one..." She drifted into thought.

"Won't you get tired of it?" Hannah asked, though she smiled at Edward's reply.

 

"Never," Edward smiled, leaning down to kiss her neck. "You'll have some trouble getting rid of me."
