John raised an eyebrow. "Damn what?"

 

"Damn the two girls who are hunting around us." Will answered, knowing how to take a truth and use half of it. "They are in Hannah's group and could cause a few problems."

"Okay, time to go." Jinx decided, talking to herself. She bolted off after Beatice.

 

"We can work with those problems." John shrugged. "How bad could it be?"

 

"Nothing too bad for you." Will assured him. "I just don't think Hannah's friends will be very kind to you, if they know about you." he pointed out.

"Beatice." Jinx hissed, when she found her.

 

Beatrice stood up from the deer, wiping the corner of her mouth and looking at Jinx. "What is it?"

"Like I said, I won't have to go near them." John said.

 

"I think we need to get back to the others, we have company again." Jinx answered.

"yes, of course not." Will inclined his head. "So, where do you plan on waiting?"

 

"Right here. It's a fine enough distance." John replied.

"The same?" Beatrice asked.

 

"Yes, the same." Jinx answered.

Will nodded. "Let the temtation begin." he joked.

 

"I give her five minutes." John chuckled.

"Let's get back then." Beatrice said.

Hannah opened the door of the carriage bit to relieve the heat. She smiled at the cool night air. I hope Edward doesn't mind. I like the cold.

 

Jinx started off with Beatice back to the carriges.

Will nodded. "I'll give her ten, just because I'm still not so confinced, yet."

 

"They wouldn't be dumb enough to go to the carriages, would they?" Beatrice asked.

"You'll see." John muttered.

Hannah froze as she caught Angelyn's scent, her eyes instantly melting to gold. They're close... SHE'S close...

 

"I don't know..." Jinx admited as they reached the carriges. "Hannah, are you okay?" she asked, seeing her expression.

"Yes we will, this should be interesting." Will grinned.

 

Hannah just stared at the trees. She's so close.... I could easily go to her... So easily...

"Hannah?" Beatrice said a little louder.

Hannah started and looked over at Beatrice and Jinx. "Do you... smell her...?"

 

Jinx took Hannah firmly by the shoulders and shook her. "Hannah." she said sharply. "yes, she's out there, but do you know who she's with?"

 

Hannah pulled away from Jinx. "I don't care." She murmured, her eyes trained on the trees.

 

Edward sat up, grabbing Hannah's arm. "Stay here," he said sharply, seeing the look in her eyes. "It's not worth it."

 

Don't let her come! Lestat snapped in Edward's head desperately.

"You should let her be, John," Lestat muttered aloud, catching the vampire's eyes, piercing him with his own. "He will not let her come. And besides, I think you're both frightening Miss Angelyn. Will's not doing much to calm her."

 

"Who are you to say so?" John returned Lestat's gaze.

Hannah calmed at Edward's voice, sinking back into the carriage seat. "Sorry...." She said quietly, though she was still intent on Angelyn's scent.

"Maybe we should leave." Beatrice suggested.

 

I shouldn't have come here.... Angelyn looked around. Judging by what they're saying, Hannah is near us. BUT she's with other people.

 

Edward kept a tight grip on either of her shoulders. "He's doing it on purpose," he snarled, remembering Lestat's words. "He's trying to get you out there."
