Van Helsing

"Thank you!" Edward sighed, crushing her in a hug against him. "You don't know how good of an idea that was."

 

"Fine, then," Van Helsing sighed. He turned to Carl. "Would you mind helping me with the fire, my friend?" he asked politely.

 

"You could say that, monsuier," Lestat replied. "Forgive me, but..." he began, grinning, "but her name has slipped my mind... ah, yes: Emily. I take it you will not be missing her."

 

"Trust me, I do." Hannah mumbled against Edward's shoulder.

"Well, I should go find the carriages." John said, taking Angleyn's hand.

Beatrice nodded and searched the air for something.

 

Will shrugged, "If natural selection wants her then she cleary wasn't meant to stay alive. she should have gone home." he said, simply, unfased by hearing she was dead. "I think I'll watch this one." he said, as John took Angelyn towards the carriges.

"Sure. Why don't you get some sleep, I'll make the fire." Carl said, walking around to gather firewood.

 

"Good," Edward replied, smiling and pulling away from her enough to kiss her softly. "I hope Jinx and Beatrice won't be mad that you've stayed."

 

"I wouldn't call what I do natural at all," Lestat smiled in his French, luxurious way. "But all the same, I think she enjoyed it. I'd be careful around those carriages," he added, stepping lightly after them. "Life will not be fun if the werewolf and the vampire hunter are uspet together."

 

John stopped and faced Lestat. "You think I'm going to march right up to them? I'm not that stupid. Hannah's going to come to me."

Hannah giggled. "I think they'll be fine."

"I think it's a deer...." Beatrice mumured, her eyes still closed.

 

"I sincerly doubt that, actully." Will commented, "The other two vampire lady's are hunting, you can hear them if you listen closely. now, if Miss. Hannah was coming out, wouldn't she be out with them? No one in that group would be stupid enough to go out with people tracking them, alone. And I assume the dog is paranoid of you, so he'd never let her go out alone, correct?"

Jinx nodded, smiling, "correct."

 

"I can make her come to me." John gave Will a steely look. "I'm not incompetent. I have learned things on my own."

Beatrice looked at Jinx. "I feel bad doing this without Hannah.... Won't she be hungry too?"

 

"yes, we can bring her something back." Jinx agreed. "What do you think she'd not hate us for?"

Will met John's steely eyes with his own calming ones. "Yes, I'm sure you have." he answered, "But I still don't think she'll come. Prove me wrong, though, I would very much like to see her come to you."

 

"I don't really know what she likes..." Beatrice said awkwardly.

"She will." John said calmly. "Persuasion. That's all it takes. Once she remembers how badly she wanted Miss Von Cullen here, she'll come running."

 

What are they talking about?! Angelyn wondered. Was Hannah...

 

Jinx looked up, awkwardly, "Uh, well actully she doesn't really like anything we'd bring back... she doesn't hutn animals..." she said, quietly. "But she needs something." she added quickly, "Ah, we'll find something. go ahead and hunt for yourself, I'll watch and keep an eye out for something for Hannah."

"That is one way to do it." Will said, smiling at Angelyn.

 

The vampire that Elijah saved me from?Angelyn tried to think straight.

 

Beatice nodded. "Okay." She bolted off after the scent of the deer.

"That's pretty much the only way with Hannah." John nodded towards Lestat. "Unless you're him."

 

"Interesting. You must have made quite an impression on the girl." Will looked over at Angelyn and noticed her face was skrewed up with thought. He sent a wave of acceptance and calm over her again just in case she started to get smart and run off, not that they couldn't easily catchh her.

Jinx listened to the sounds of the forest. Huh... that doesn't sound like an animal. her gaze swept the area and she listened closer. Oh come on. she thought, essasperated as she realized it who was in the forest.

 

"A deep impression." John smirked. "One she won't soon forget."

 

Angleyn relaxed. Maybe they'll help me... but it doesn't really sound like it.

 

"That's too-..." Will stopped, recognizing Jinx's smell somewhere near. "Damn." he muttered and then continued as if nothing was wrong. "That's too bad. First impressions are so important to women esspecially."

Jinx tried to locate exactly where the group was headed. If they are coming this way or towards the others, we're going to have to cut hunting short and get back as soon as possible...
