Van Helsing

Oh, I'd hate to ruin this moment... Lestat sighed, just alongside the carriages. Maybe I should wait...

 

'Everything okay back there?" Van Helsing asked, turning to look at the carriage behind him.

 

"Uh huh." Jinx answered Van Helsing. "Just vampire girl talk." she joked, grinning back at him. "Everything okay up on your end?"

 

"Never dreams," Hannah sighed, letting her hands drop. "Only nightmares."

"Probably not me, but she will be to see Miss Von Cullen here." John smirked.

 

"I'm sorry," Edward said immediately, afraid he had offended her. "It's just... I always heard that vampires can't dream, whether good or bad, but I wanted to know the truth."

 

"Brilliant," Van Helsing muttered, turning around again. It was odd for him to look down and watch Lexi run; he was used to being with her, and it hurt him slightly to be so far away.

 

Jinx shook her head. "I can hear you remember, and your are a terrible lier!" she said, loud enough for him to hear her. Then she looked back at Beatice, "So, maybe if we set things up proporly, we can get you used to Carl. I think at first you may need Hannah or me to hold onto you incase instinct kicks in too strong."

Will smirked. "Women are funny things, especailly vampire ones." He looked at Angelyn, "I'm sure she'll be very glad to see you, as he says." he tipped her chin up to make her look at him, "Your a very lovely girl, look sharp too." he let her chin go and laughed.

 

Angelyn shivered at the touch but was not afraid.

 

"Older vampires can't dream. Us newborns are haunted with memories of our human lives." Hannah answered.

John rolled his eyes and kept walking. "Just remember that Hannah is fond of you Miss Von Cullen."

"I don't know..." Beatrice said quietly. "I don't want to hurt anyone."

 

Will winked at Angelyn while they walked. "He's meerly jealous that he wants to leave you with Ms. Hannah. I don't blame him, who wouldn't want you for themselves?"

Jinx nodded, "Which is why we would be holding onto you. Are you a good hand to hand fighter?" she asked trying to gauge how hard it would be to knock Beatice down if she did pull away from whomever was holding her.

 

"I'm sorry, sweetheart," Edward soothed. "It will go away, though, like you said?"

 

"Eventually...." Hannah stared at the ceiling. "They may be nightmares, but they're still memories...."

John grit his teeth. "So true."

"I'm okay." Beatrice said.

 

Angelyn tore her eyes away from Will. I've got to focus.

 

"Just okay? Because I seriously need to know. Like I said before, as a newborn you are very strong. But I've been fighting for a long time. If you are only 'okay' at fighting, then it should be pretty safe to get you used to Carl so long as I'm holding onto you or right there." Jinx explained, "But if you are better than 'okay', we'll need Hannah to help, at least at first, I think."

Will smiled, "So, why wouldn't this lovely young lady, Hannah, be happy to see you, John?" he inquired.

 

Edward nodded against her. "I see..." he began slowly. "What do you want to do after all this? We should live in Paris..." he faded off, laughing softly to himself.

 

Edward... Lestat began in the man's mind, despite not wanting to interrupt. No, don't tell her yet, he added qucikly, feeling Edward want to speak to Hannah. John's got a girl... her name is Angelyn and he says she's for Hannah. I don't understand completely, but you should know. Will creates vampires... he collects them. They won't come again until the next evening, so do not worry her with the information till you're ready.

 

"She's bullheaded." John replied.

"Paris? I've never really been there. Only passed through." Hannah said thoughtfully.

"I'm better with a sword." Beatrice explained. "My bare hands aren't worth much." She laughed quietly.

 

"Is that the only reason?" Will promted, pushing a little more trust onto John.

Jinx smiled, "Okay, then I think we're safe. We'll just have to take away your sword while Carl is around."

 

Edward hid a grimace, hearing Lestat's information.

"I've never been at all," Edward replied. "But I heard it's a lovely place to live."

 

"Didn't you mention a theater?" Hannah asked.

"She's in love with a werewolf." John said through grit teeth.

"I don't think I should carry it anymore at all." Beatrice sighed.
