Van Helsing

Hannah smiled softly. "Thank you." She had to ask the question that had been playing at her mind, "How long have you been a werewolf?"

OOC: go van helsing go! XD

 

"Since I was a year old," Edward explained. "Dracula's werewolf came and turned my entire family... now they are working for him and I have been hiding my whole life. Then Van Helsing himself comes along and I persuaded him to take me with him to find the b.astard that ruined my life."

 

OOC: We must have Angelyn get back from Michigan to leave the town cuz we need her to be Jinxy-poo... yeah... lol

 

Hannah rubbed the back of her head. "It's only been two months for me. Three next week. Seems as though you've had it rougher."

OOC: i shall call her!! XD it's 8:15; she should be awake

 

OOC: sounds good... lol shes gonna read all this and think we're crazy!!!!

 

"I don't mean to compare with you," Edward began. "But I guess I have had a harder time... I shouldn't keep you from your walk, though. Sorry."

 

OOC: yes! but she already does! nah, i should wait till later to call her. grandma might still be sleeping

"I didn't come out here to walk." Hannah muttered. "It's been getting harder lately.... Controlling myself... I... I didn't mean to..." She started shaking. "Henry... it was an accident..."

 

"Hey..." Edward stumbled on his words. "I knew that..." he faded off, and awkwardly gathered her in his arms. "I didn't mean to sound angr eariler; it's just, if you were going to use me beign a werewolf against me, I wanted collateral damage against you. You couldn't help killing that man, could you?"

 

Hannah barely noticed when she wrapped her arms around Edward. "It just... happened..." She shut her eyes against tears. "He was my only friend...."

 

Edward held her tighter, hardly believing this was the same girl that was shouting at him minutes ago. "No one will blame you for it... except Van Helsing. But he never needs to know, okay?" He tried his best to reassure her.

 

Hannah tried to suppress her tears. "Wouldn't it be better if I were dead, though...? I don't want to, but I'll kill people..."

 

Edward put a finger under her chin, making her look into his eyes. "That's ridiculous thinking, miss," he said seriously. "We will find Dracula. Don't you want to stop him from making more people hurt like we do and kill innocents?"

 

Hannah was captivated by Edward's eyes; the most she could do was nod.

 

"I should go..." he said after a moment. "We should both rest... so you can wait till night and look for her. That would be the best time, right?"

 

"R-right." Hannah agreed, awkwardly moving out of Edward's comfortable hold.

 

"Come by later this evening," Edward said, flexing his hands. He found that his palms were sweaty and he shook his head slightly. Then we can go out with Van Helsing and find Jinx."

 

Hannah smiled, wiping her eyes, and headed back to the inn, giving Edward a wave before she went inside. She made her way up to her room, trying to sort out what had just happened.

 

"Bye," Edward said to himself as he watched Hannah walk away. He turned toward the Inn himself a moment later and walked into the downstairs bar. The inn keeper came up to him and told him that "his companion" was in room 101.

Edward knocked on the door when he got there. Van Helsing opened it a second later, and Edward jumped back when he saw the gun in his face.

"It's me!" he gasped, and the other man lowered the gun.

"Come inside, then," Van Helsing said with a small smile.

The room was tiny and similar to what he had seen of Jinx's earlier. He looked around and sat on the bed on the right wall, as Van Helsing sat on the left one.

"So," Van Helsing began, "what did you two talk about?"

 

Hannah curled into a ball on her bed. I'm never going to understand what just happened....

 

"Anything interesting?" Van Helsing asked.
