Van Helsing

Hannah ran a hand through her hair, glancing at Edward but speaking to Van Helsing. "You're more than they say.... First off, I am lonely. Second, my real name is something I only give to people I trust. Third, I will help you in any way I can to stop Dracula. Last, my name is Hannah Rose."

 

OOC: OMG!!! lol

BIC: Van Helsing smiled at her and finished his glass of rum. "Wonderful. That's a lovely name. It's always good to have another human on my side."

 

"I'm right here," Edward said, and Van Helsing looked at him. "As far as the 'human' factor was going..."

 

Hannah gave Edward a closer look, instantly sensing he was a werewolf. She cringed, moving slightly away. "Is he staying with us?"

 

"Yes," Van Helsing cut the other man off. "He's in search of Dracula as well, and I think we could use his help." He paused for a moment. "Is that a problem?"

 

"Why wouldn't I--?"

"Not a problem." Hannah said. She felt her stomach flipping over. A trip with a werewolf? I said I'd do whatever I could, but... travel with a werewolf? She calmed herself down, realizing that as long as she avoided his teeth, and Van Helsing's weapons, she'd be fine. "How long do you plan on staying here before going to look for Dracula?"

 

"Long enough to find Jinx and see what she is up to," Van Helsing replied. "We should do that soon... do you know where she may be?"

 

Why is she giving me that funny look? Edward asked himself. Does she think there's something wrong with--- God! How the h.ell could she know? It's fine: I have a better secret of her own...

 

Hannah shook her head. "She hasn't been at the inn since you left. Neither have I seen her." She rubbed her arm, using the excuse that it was cold. She was starting to get uncomfortable being around a werewolf.

 

"Well, I think we all need to lie down and get some sleep, and then we can figure out where to search for Jinx."

 

"Sounds like a good idea," Edward yawned, looking uneasily as Elizabeth. She's really got to stop staring...

 

Hannah nodded. "There are spare rooms available here. I'm going to go for a walk before I go to my room." She stood up. "You can handle things on your own, right?" She smiled briefly at Van Helsing, but didn't look at Edward, before going outside.

 

Edward got up suddenly and followed Elizabeth outside. He caught her arm in the street and held her still when she cringed back.

"You know what I am," he whispered in her face, ignoring the few people wandering by around them. "But I know what you've done as well, so don't try to treat me like scum, understand? I don't mean to be rude, but I am a person as well as you would like to be considered."

 

Van Helsing watched Edward go indifferently. He's starting a battle if he wants one, he thought, and went over to the inn keeper's counter to get a room for he and Edward for the evening.

 

Hannah yanked away from Edward, shaking. "Don't touch me." Her voice quavered. "If you think that I have the illusion of being better than you, then you're wrong. I know very well that you're a person, as am I, and that you could kill me with one scrape of those teeth. So, please, just stay away from me...."

 

"I've never killed or harmed a person in my whole life!" Edward pleaded. "I don't mean to frighten you, I just wish... you could stop looking at me like I'm an awful, distgusting person." He tried to smile. "I do know how you feel... being around him as well."

OOC: I TOTALLY JUST POSTED EDWARD UNDER VAN HELSING!!!! IM SO FRIKKIN TIRED!!! HAHAHA

Hannah felt her fear subside a bit when she saw Edward smile. "I... I guess we're kind of similar.... It's just, I haven't met very many werewolves... and the ones I have weren't the kindest."

 

OOC: i totally just did it again and caught myself! haha

BIC: Edward sighed, relieved that she looked calmer. "I know... every other werewolf I've known as well as tried to kill me because I've never hurt another. It's so hard, when the moon is full-- but nevermind that. We are a little similar, and now we've both got to deal with Van Helsing, the man that should have killed us. But he doesn't know about you yet! And I won't say a word."

 

Van Helsing told the inn keeper to tell Edward to go up to room 101 when he came inside. Heading up the stairs to the room now, he fingered his guns, trying to calm himself.

Who killed that man here? Hannah (he smiled at the name) says it wasn't Jinx, but I don't believe it. Who else could have done it? And where is she now? I need these questions answered before we leave to look for Dracula. Better yet, maybe Jinx has an idea which direction to head!
