Van Helsing (Cont.)

"Don't you think a bunch of people just appearing at your house at night might be a little much? Especially a group like ours?" Hannah shook her head. "If this Anna is a hunter, I'm perfectly happy waiting right here until Van Helsing gets what he wants."

Beatrice nodded stiffly to Michael.

 

"I guess so, let's see what happens." Jinx looked up at the castle again, still trying to find someone in it.

Carl knew his scent was affecting her again and took a step away to let her breathe easier. "Sorry." he commented, smiling slightly.

Michael went to Beatrice, gently touching the back of her head. "You don't look like it."

 

"True," Van Helsing muttered. "Well... I guess Carl and I can go..."

 

"Do you mind if I go with him?" Edward whispered to Hannah. "I want to know what's said."

 

"Go ahead," Hannah smiled. "I'll wait with Bee."

"That doesn't hurt at all," Beatrice murmured, flinching away from Michael's touch. "Are you going?"

 

Michael nodded. "Nothing any hunter can do will hurt me." He shrugged. "Right now, Hannah's the only one who can."

 

"Let's go, then, gentleman," Van Helsing said, stepping forward now.

 

Michael followed Van Helsing. "So how much are you going to tell her?"

 

Edward kissed Hannah's cheek briefly before stepping to catch up with Van Helsing. "What exactly are you going to say to this girl when you knock on her front door?"

 

"I'm going to be honest, for once," Van Helsing answered them both. "I'll tell her, at first, what Carl and I are up to... and then all you people in there... and then the information Edward gained so honorably in Rome that can finish Dracula. She can't refuse to help us and tell us anything she may know."

 

OOC: Lestat got 1400

BIC: "Well that will get us far with a lady," Carl commented.

Beatrice looked over at Hannah. "Are you okay?"

"Don't worry about it, Bee," Hannah sighed, watching Edward go. "I just... got myself in a situation."

"Situation?" Beatrice repeated.

Hannah folded her arms. "That's what I said. Don't bother yourself with it. Edward's going to help me."

 

Like him, don't you, little one? Lestat crooned at Beatrice, entertaining himself. That Michael fellow... it's an odd choice, even for you.

 

"I hope so," Van Helsing muttered as they reached the giant, looming front doors of the castle. He knocked the ancient, iron-clad wood with a fist.

 

"I doubt anyone that's not in the main foyer will hear that," Edward commented.

 

Hannah sat back in the carriage, keeping the door open.

Do not, Beatrice replied stubbornly. He's here to help Hannah, that's all.

OOC: woohoo! i get carl and anna whilst little angelyn ish gone!

 

"Allow me," Michael stepped in front of Van Helsing and pounded on the door.

 

OOC: ooh baby...

BIC: Hmm, Lestat chuckled lowly. I understand... well, enjoy yourself, my dear; sometimes the best way to get over your thirst is giving into it for a while... you'll feel SO much better, trust me...

 

Edward couldn't help but laugh under his breath, folding his arms across his chest, straightening the collar of his black silk shirt.

 

"Thank you," Van Helsing sighed, looking up at the windows of the high stones again.
