Lestat nodded. "True," he began. "I understand that... but if you want her and, more importantly, want her to be happy, your ways shall never be a success."

 

"We do attract alot of those, huh?" Jinx looked ahead at the road. "But, we'll get rid of them. It's sort of a matter of not getting snuck up on, I think."

Van Helsing frowned and nodded. "Yes. Speaking of pests, what are we going to do about Will? Do you think he'll come back?"

 

Hannah exhaled. "I know. I can still try though."

John clenched his fists. "You're suggesting I try to be... compassionate to her?"

that's the site. the previous link was the only scary one. the others are LAME. they don't even DO anything -_- i don't get the one with red hair. it just looks like a head to me.

 

"You want to lie to me?" Edward asked softly, trying to catch her eye.

 

Lestat nodded his head once, slowly. "Maybe not that far, but don't you agree your attitude has only made her move farther from you? Your own child, your property, hating your very being... there must be something wrong with you there if she feels so strongly."

 

Jinx frowned. "Oh I'm sure... since he keeps coming back I guess he's got nothing better to do." she thought for a moment. "Which is sort of good in a way, it means he hasn't gotten himself a new born at the moment."

 

"What about you?" Van Helsing asked. "I mean, do I have to kill him or something to stop him by now?"

 

"There are cases when it's best to not know," Hannah answered quietly, keeping her eyes on the floor.

John turned away from Lestat. "I do things my own way." He muttered, following the carriages.

 

Edward sighed, shifting his weight so her head rested on his stomach. "Okay," he said reluctantly, his fingers absentmindedly touching her hair. "It bothers me, I guess I should let it go..."

 

"We'll see how that goes," Lestat laughed aloud, leaning against the nearest tree, tilting his head back and looking up at the afternoon sun through the branches, letting it burn and heat his bright blue eyes in their sockets for a moment. The world changes... he thought sadly, suddenly. We do not... therein lies the irony that finally kills us...

 

"I'd rather he be bother me out of my mind than stealing some other person's life away. But as for stopping him... killing him seems to be the answer. I just wish I could do what I planned before and just get rid of him myself. This dumb bond keeps getting in the way though."

 

Hannah bit her lip. "He kissed me." She caved, her voice barely audiable.

 

"Well, if John dies, Hannah dies," Van Helsing began. "So if Will dies..."

 

"Yeah... there's that bit too." Jinx agreed, unhappily. "And I guess it doesn't work the other way around, making it even more difficult...."

 

Edward swallowed a small groan. "Kissed you how?" he managed after a moment.

 

"We should just stick him in a cage for the rest of his life," Van Helsing growled, picturing it in his mind. "What he deserves..."

 

Hannah hesitated. "Like a kiss." She answered meekly.
