Van Helsing (Cont.)

Jinx smiled returned alittle, although she was still alittle uneasy about that scent, "Just don't be too hasty, okay?" she suggested, soothingly. "It doesn't sound like anyone is fighting... in fact I think they are just talking to whoever he is."

Hannah got to her feet. "I'm sure 'missing me' is an understatement." She smiled.

OOC: i've got a lot of hw so i don't know if i can post later today >.< i'll try to get it done ASAP

 

"Well, then," Van Helsing sighed. "We'll just have to go and meet him, shall we?"

 

"Sounds like we have some visitors," Edward muttered to Carl, raising his head to nod toward the door.

 

"Do you regret coming here tonight?" Lestat asked, almost absentmindedly, as he stood and walked to the nearest window. He put a hand up to the dark, red velvet curtain, little bits of dust shaking off and playing in the sunlit air.

 

"I'll be sure to be careful around her then." Michael smiled.

 

Hannah moved away from the sunlight. "No. It would have been much worse if I had stayed."

"Good," Beatrice smiled back. "You'll want to stay on Edward's good side. Van Helsing... he's a different story. It's hard to keep him happy."

 

Van Helsing opened the door, letting Jinx enter in front of him. He looked at Carl and Edward and frowned. "Where are the others?"

 

Edward raised his eyes. "I'd think your girlfriend there could have told you," he began a little hotly, gesturing to Van Helsing's arm around Jinx. "Bee and her new friend are nextdoor speaking privately."

 

Lestat turned, leaning against the windowframe and smiling at her. "You're welcome," he said with a wink. "I bet you're ready to leave now, no?"

 

"I think I can deal with him." Michael assured Beatrice. "Let's get back to them before Edward gets suspicious."

BIC: "I guess so," Hannah answered. "I wouldn't want to delay Van Helsing's plans."

Beatrice led Michael back to the other room. "Oh... When did you two get back?" She asked Van Helsing and Jinx.

 

"New friend?" Van Helsing thought aloud, trying to control himself. "Who the hell is he?"

 

Michael, Edward snapped to Van Helsing in his mind, not really wanting to talk about it. He says he's... like Hannah, and wants to meet her...

"I was about to get you myself, Bee," Edward added aloud to the girl, frowning.

 

Lestat laughed under his breath, shaking his head. "I suppose..." he said softly, stepping over to her and putting his hands on her shoulders. "You must understand if I just leave you in the woods. I'd rather not meet all your friends together once again."

 

Michael glanced around the room. Quite a group.

 

Hannah nodded. "That's fine... I understand."

"Um, Van Helsing, this is Michael," Beatrice explained.

 

"And what would you be, exactly?" Van Helsing asked untrustingly, nodding slightly at Edward.

 

"Good," Lestat whispered, wrapping her tightly in his arms. "Don't hold your breath," he added again before he shut his eyes. He envisioned the Transylvanian forrest in his mind as he felt his feet leave the ground, barely noticing the windy and odd sensation of nothing beneath his feet.

When he opened his eyes, they stood exactly where he thought of, on the edge of the forrest. The travel had barely ruffled his clothes or hair. He looked down at Hannah, his eyes falling for one moment on his bite marks at the nape of her neck.

"Here we are," he said after a moment.

 

"Lycan." Michael answered simply. "It's been about three hundred-fifty years since my birth. I was engaged to a high status vampire named Seline but she was killed recently by one of her clan's ancients, Marcus. I'm looking for him now, but after I heard there was another lycan, I'd like to stay and meet her. There hasn't been any lycans since my creation and none before that. I was the first and the only to my knowledge. So it would be a great pleasure for me to talk with her. Hannah, right?"
