"I expected anger," Lestat said, almost seriously, playing with a loose strand of her hair. "But maybe that will come later."

 

Hannah's long, black, wavy locks tumbled in her face when she shook her head. "As long as Edward doesn't find out."

"Um... okay." Beatrice played with the ends of her hair.

 

"Hm," Michael rubbed his head. "If neither of you wants to talk about him, that's fine. It doesn't seem like many people do."

 

"Why don't you tell me what you know and then I might be inclined to share," Edward suggested softly.

 

"Hmm," Lestat muttered under his breath. "I think he can see into your mind, little one, and that might be something we can't avoid now."

 

"I already did." Michael answered plainly.

 

"Oh no," Hannah's breath caught and her head spun. "John..."

Beatrice twirled her hair around her fingers.

 

"Well, then that's the end of that subject," Edward growled to himself, shutting his eyes.

 

"It doesn't matter now," Lestat said softly. "Edward won't let him hurt you, and John will be dead soon anyway... and I won't let anyone touch you, either."

 

Hannah closed her eyes, shaking her head again. "John's gonna kill me." She moaned, starting to tremble.

Beatrice motioned to Michael to follow her and Carl to stay with Edward. She went into Carl's room with Michael. "Listen, you've got to understand something about Edward... He's really, really... sensative is the word I guess. He and... um, the other lycan... well, they're really close. Just be careful when you talk about her around him."

 

"Sure thing." Michael smiled. "I understand."

 

OOC: HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *implodes* i finally finished it all! woot!

BIC: Jinx sighed. "you never give up to do you?" she asked, smiling.

 

"I don't trust him yet," Edward said to Carl as the others left. "Is that such a bad thing?"

 

"No," Van Helsing chuckled. "Not really... are you complaining?"

 

"Oh, hush," Lestat soothed, brushing his fingers along his teeth marks on her neck. "John cannot withstand both Edward and I together. Don't trouble yourself about him."

 

Hannah nodded slowly, feeling her skin tingle where Lestat touched her. "Okay," She said eventually. "But he'll still be incredibly angry..."

 

"I know," Lestat said calmly. "But I shall take care of that, as well as Edward will, when the time comes. Now..." He sighed, sitting up and straightening his shirt and hair. "I'm sure he's missing you."

 

"No, not really." Jinx answered, mimicking his answer playfully. "But shouldn't we get back to the inn before something else happens?" she subconsiously wiped her mouth of some blood that she'd covered with her glamour but could still feel.

"No, I suppose not. But he seems pretty trust worthy so far. I hope he can help Hannah out." Carl answered, smiling cheerfully at the last thought.

 

"I don't know," Van Helsing sighed, though he kept a smile on his face. "Right now, I'm just sorry about Will."
