Van Helsing (Cont.)

"I really wished Jinx was here now," Van Helsing said calmly. "So she can tell you how she feels and then you can leave us all alone."

 

"How rude. I'm not bothering anyone." Will's voice held mock hurt but he just smiled.

OOC: lol, this is fun, like the "Bother bother bother" from puppet pals. ^_^

 

Hannah nodded. "Yeah, I understand." She paused. "It just makes me feel useless. I want to be able to do something against John, anything I can to help."

 

Jake took a step towards Edward. Her venom doesn't bother my healing. But you...? You're not healing. Care to explain?

 

"You're bothering me because you have bothered her," Van Helsing snapped. "Do you understand that, at least?"

 

Edward lunged forward once more and took a swipe at Jake's face, catching his right cheek with his claws. Again, the blood that seeped through the werewolve's fur made him happy... almost elated at the sight.

I already told you I'm not going to tell you anything.

 

"Ah, I see. Well it's a good thing I don't mind you being bothered then." Will shrugged.

 

"Oh," Lestat began, the small syllable a little sigh that escaped his lips as he went to sit on one of the steps leading up to the two thrones. He rested his arm on one bent knee and grinned. "Hasn't he at least told you that he needs you to finish the job?"

 

"He has," Hannah answered. "I just don't understand why." Frustration seeped into her voice.

 

Alright then. Jake shook his head, the cuts quickly healing. He bolted forward at Edward, locking his jaws on his shoulder.

 

"Call her over here," Van Helsing challeneged angrily. "I know you can; just do it!"

 

"If you'd like." Will grinned, cruely. "Jinx..." he called softly, but in a carrying tone.

Jinx shivered, hearing her name. She stood up, glowering at the trees. "I was enjoying the evening... what the hell do you want." she growled to herself, dilberatly keeping her pace slow as she walked towards them.

Will laughed at her words, "There went her mood for the rest of the night." he commented, cheerfully. "Honestly, between the two of you, how does anyone put up with such tempers?"

 

Edward howled, the pain biting deep into his veins. He threw Jake off him, smashing him against the nearest tree. Shutting out any other thought in his mind, he slashed his claws and teeth into Jake's arm, ripping fur, skin, even muscle and bone, the grinding of the flesh against his throat making his stomach churn. But he ignored the feeling, tearing the rest of the limb off the other werewolf, tossing it aside against another tree.

How does dying slowly sound to you? he growled in his mind, blood dripping off his teeth.

 

"Come here," Lestat said after a moment, inclining his head to the step beside him. "You can't hurt or scare me, dear."

 

"We just work well together that way," Van Helsing muttered under his breath.

 

Jinx walked out of the forest and stopped just outside the trees, away from both of them. "What do you want Will?" she asked, coldly, unconsiously preparing to have her emotions tampered with.

Will laughed. "We're just hoping you can finish a deal for us." he waved a hand absently, "Tell me what you think without being inflenced by me, I'm sure Van Helsing already explained it to you."

"Yeah..." Jinx suddenly became less angry and more uneasy, she couldn't get rid of the thought of how easy this seemed, much too easy.

 

Hannah shook her head. "I don't trust myself."

Beatrice jerked up from her deer when she heard Edward's and Jake's howls. What's going on? She thought. I didn't think he'd actually go after that hunter.

 

Jake's howl was filled with twisted agony. B.astard. He growled at the smell of venom mixed with his blood. That helps actually. I should have thought of bleeding out her venom.

 

"He's agreed to let you speak your mind for once," Van Helsing said softly. "Just tell him what you think of him... and he'll leave us be."

 

Jinx narrowed her eyes, looking direcly into Will's eyes. "Fine. You already know what I think of you though..." she took a deep breath, "I hate you. I wish you were dead and wish I had the ability to do it. You steal people's mortality and then send them to hell when you are done with them. You use people in such a sick, demented, way. Just having you leave us alone isn't even good enough! You'll just do it again to someone else, I know you will." she stopped and looked nervously at Van Helsing, not sure what to do now.

Will nodded. "I'm sure you're right, my dear." he said, soothingly, "Now, I let you speak your mind, what do you think is going to happen now?"
