Van Helsing (Cont.)

Van Helsing heard Jinx and Beatrice fade off into the trees, almost too fast for him to catch. They better be careful, he thought worriedly to himself.

 

Jinx let her instincts take over and almost instantly howned in on a mountian lion (YUMMY). A low growl came from her throat and she took off in its direction. Her teeth had grown out to peek out over her bottom lip and her pupals were slanted, all her glamors fallen off.

 

Van Helsing walked slowly now, trying his best to hear all the noises that were going through the woods. I hope Dracula shows up... or something to make me feel useful.

 

"I didn't really have a choice." Hannah muttered, lowering her eyes. "ANd I don't think I qualify as a vampire anymore."

Beatrice turned oppostice the direction Jinx headed, wanting to give her some privacy and be alone herself.

 

As I recall, she was the one who bit me. Jake snarled back. If you kill anyone, it should be her.

 

Edward growled, lunging forward until he slammed into Jake, pinning him underneath him, his teeth inches from his throat. You're very stupid, he snapped, his voice hot and piercing in his own ears. Stupid enough to speak, to act, to even think you could interfere with my friends. I ought to kill you right now.

 

"I didn't either, Hannah," Lestat began seriously, catching her eye. "I had no choice... no father, no teacher, no helper. I know your feelings, trust me. I've felt alone, acting against things that, as a mortal, I would have loathed and feared more than anything. I only kill humans because... well, I like it, secretly. But only evil ones; ones that have done wrong, no innocents... most of the time."

 

Hannah looked back at Lestat. "Then why don't you just stay with us? Only if you want to. I mean I don't want to force you or anything, but it does seem like-" She trailed off, trying to find the words she wanted.

 

Jake barked a laugh. So I was right. You are more involved than you should be with those bloodsuckers. He snapped at Edward's neck. What sick motivation do you have?

 

Jinx pounced on the lion and felt a laugh bubble up in her as it growled and clawed at her. She flipped over so that she landed ontop of it and bit it's nose when it tried biting her.

Will could hear the different people in the forest and saw Van Helsing walking alone.

 

I'm not telling you anything; you're too low and pathetic to hear anything about me, Edward replied, dragging his claws slowly across Jake's neck, enjoying the growl of pain that issues from his mouth. This will be easier than I thought.

 

Van Helsing slowed, tightening his grip on his bow. He thought he heard something behind him, and turned his head to the side, listening.

 

Lestat shook his head slowly. "I don't work well with others," he said softly, almost in a whisper. "Believe it or not, but I'm better alone. Though I am enjoying helping you."

 

"Oh," Hannah began slowly. "Well, um, okay."

 

Jake dug his claws into Edward's arm and then rolled out from under him. He snarled, the blood from his neck dripping onto the ground as the wound sealed. Easier only because of your little pet she-vamp.

 

Jinx sat down next to the dead cat after draining it of it's life's blood. She wiped her mouth on her arm, putting her glamor back over herself. Hunting gave her a great high but now it was over and she listened to the night time sounds, looking at the dead body next to her. I guess that was worth the wait... I have to remember hunt more often though.

Will laughed quietly to himself, seeing Van Helsing tense up. He kept to the shadows.

 

OOC: you ditched Beatrice? how evil...

Van Helsing turned again. "Hiding in shadows is extrememly boring," he said aloud. "If there's someone there, I'd come out by now."

 

OOC: nu uh! she ditched jinx, wanted some alone time or something. :P

BIC: Will watched him for a few silent moments and then stepped out, "Ah, I am just watching all of you, no harm done." she said, softly, seeing Van Helsing's grip on his bow.

 

Edward padded backward, limping slightly on one arm. Damn you, Lestat, he growled to himself. I can't heal quickly anymore because of your damn venom.

She'd be more happy with me if I let you go, I think, he began at Jake now. You'd best leave.

 

"I don't mean to offend you," Lestat smiled. "And I do apologize for not letting Edward tell you more about what he's... got to do with John. You understand, though, don't you?"
