"He's quite good at that isn't he?" Jinx shook her head. "I'm sorry about the 'freak' comment though. He's just trying to be nice i think."

 

Van Helsing sat on the bed opposite Carl and sighed. "I don't know what to think..." he muttered. "Tonight is going to be interesting, isn't it?"

 

Lestat nodded. "I have a way with words," he murmured, almost to himself.

 

"Probably the most exciting night we've ever had." Carl agreed. "Should be fun huh?"

 

"Fun was not the word I was looking for..." Van Helsing grumbled. "And night is close already, isn't it? At least a few hours, but still... the sun always seems to go down too fast in places like this."

BIC: Hannah nodded in agreement, keeping her eyes on the book as a distraction.

"That was him trying to be nice?" Beatrice raised an eyebrow. "He's not very good at it."

 

"He'll look after you," Edward said quietly, though he was frowning at Lestat.

Touch her or make her feel uncomfortable in any way, Lestat, I will kill you.

 

OOC: alright... but the real question is... are you TICKLISH??

Lestat only nodded at Edward calmly, the same, semi-sweet smile on his face.

BIC:"So true. And night's not going to be fun with everyone sure to run off in every direction for every other reason." Carl frowned just slightly at his thoughts.

"But getting better we hope." Jinx smiled softly, "Do you want to just sit down and hang out down here for a bit? Maybe a break from them would be a good idea?"

BIC: Hannah was caught up in the book and didn't notice the silent exchange between Lestat and Edward.

Beatrice nodded. "Yeah... I need to sort out my thoughts...."

 

"Do you think killing them all would solve anything at this point?" Van Helsing mused.

 

I'm serious, Edward snapped, a growl rising in his chest. I'm trusting you.

 

Which I am very grateful for, Lestat sighed. She'll be fine.

"Do you mind if I join you?" Jinx asked. "I don't like to think of anyone being alone right now with all our lovely stalkers."

"Not really. We're already too far into insanity on their account to be cured." Carl answered, smiling agian.

 

"That's your point of view," Van Helsing laughed bitterly.

 

Hannah looked up at Edward. "What is it?"

Beatrice nodded. "Hey Jinx," She started slowly. "Do you think there are others like Hannah?"

Edward sighed. "Do you think they can hear us next door?" he asked suddenly.

 

"Does it matter?" Lestat chuckled.

 

"I don't think so. Not unless Jinx or Beatrice is purposely listening." Hannah answered.

 

"I wonder what they would think if they knew..." Edward faded off.
