Van Helsing (Cont.)

Van Helsing hid behind the nearest tree, catching his breath; his paws dug deep into the ground. He'll kill all of them if I don't finish this, he thought quickly. Every one of them, despite all they've done to help me in my cause, I will be the death of them...

Dracula smelled the hair, following Van Helsing's scent. Ugh, he thought, disgusted. He smells even worse as a werewolf!

Edward looked to where Hannah and Hikari lay and his jaw clenched. He wasn't sure what to say. He threw the bride he was fighting into the nearest building, smashing several windows.

This isn't how it was supposed to work! he snarled to himself, furious, panic rising in his stomach. I... I was supposed to have him bite the b.astard, kill him, and then bring him back... it's that simple! That... that stupid b.itch ruined everything!

He ran at Hikari, his yell turning into a howl as he transformed mid-jump. He latched his claws onto the vampire's chest, tearing her off Hannah and throwing her ten feet away. He waited until she slid in the dirt and tried to get up before pouncing in her again.

You worthless idiot! he growled in her head, sinking his claws deep into the vampire's shoulders, blood spurting out onto his fur and the dirt under them. He didn't stop when she shrieked, agony clear in her scream. He clamped his teeth against her throat and began to tear at it, ripping flesh, tendons, and chunks of her windpipe out in the open air. Dark blood sprayed in his eyes and down his throat, but he didn't stop ripping until the vampire ceased her yells and struggling.

Edward panted and stepped away from the mangled body, shaking his head low to the ground to try and rid himself of the gore covering his upper half. All his energy gone, he dissolved back into his human form, his clothing now teared and soaked in blood. He coughed, gagging several times on chunks of flesh and skin in his throat and teeth. A moment later he doubled over and wretched several times before vomiting anything he had left in his stomach all over the dirt in front of him.

He looked over at what was left of Hikari, glanced toward Jinx, and then at Hannah, the remnants of the werewolf serum syringe next to her. He could see the shock and disappointment in her eyes, and Edward managed to swallow two sobs before breaking down in silent tears, wrapping his arms around himself.

"Yeah, go Carl!" God cheered on. "Get down with ya bad self!"

Lucifer raised his eyes. "Me and Saint Peter used to have a... thing."

 

Jinx watched Edward's attack and breakdown, half way between disgust and pity. She couldn't find anything to say to help him so she looked to Hannah. "Well go take care of him." she said, turning away to deal with the many brides that were still coming. "quickly! i can't do this alone forever." her eyes kept falling on the serem that was slowly disapearing into the dirt and cracks of the ground, reminding her of the creature Van Helsing would now turn into.

mary wolf whistled. 'really? oh, how delicious!" she grinned up towards the far away clouds and then pouted. "hey! they're having a dance party!'

 

OOC: ugh i was waiting for angelina to post but she's freaking busy XD oh, and i cant believe how icky edward's thingy was... i impressed myself :D

BIC: Van Helsing turned sharply on the spot, his claws digging up a huge spray of dirt and grass clumps.

All I have to do is finish him off soon so I can get back there and Edward can inject that damn thing before this venom takes hold... permanently...

Edward shook on the ground, hot tears coming out of his eyes. Dammit, he thought angrily. I messed it all up... what can we do now?

Lucifer raised his eyes. "Look, little booby lady... we throw totally awesomerrr partays here! I think it's time to bring out the Hell Girl!"

Ai Enma popped out and started playing her smexy theme song and doing the happy Carmella dancing thing. Woohoo!!

 

OOC: haha, yes it was quite messy :D

BIC: Jinx spent time doing filler fighting *bam pow snap crunch*

Mary rocked out to the music with Lucifer.

 

OOC: hannah gave the syringe to michael who gave it back to hannah so that the smooshness of it worked out like i planned XD ive decided not to post until angelina posts on all our threads :D yay!

 

OOC: aargg! i hate waiting.

 

OOC: angelina should be done with finals soon at the end of this week and then she can post so we can get on with the story :)

OOC: Christmas break!!! >D Yay!!!!

BIC: Hannah stared at the shattered syringe. Dismay had struck her. How could they help Van Helsing now? The grusome sounds of Hikari and Edward's scrabble made her look up. She got to her feet and navigated around the corps' pieces. Softly, she called Edward's name. It made her insides knot up when she saw him like that.

OOC: Poll time! Bee die now? Yez? Or noez?

 

Come on, Van Helsing thought, staying behind the tree. Come and get me, away from all those people...

"You're not a very good hider like this, Gabriel," Dracula said quietly, entering the woods and following the giant footprints of the werewolf. "It's very sad... disgusting, even, to see the left hand of God as such an ugly, nasty, useless beast."

Edward looked up, all the color drained from his face. He caught Hannah's eye and frowned. "What the hell are we going to do now?" he whispered, his thoughts now vocalized. "I mean... he can't stay like that. He can't be stuck like me because of me. What are we going to do to save him?"

OOC: yeah, she can die... if i get to kill her!! muwa hahahahahaaa!!!

 

OOC: We wait for Angypoo until we decide. xD

BIC: "We'll figure something out," Hannah mumbled. It was all she could think to say at the time. "Right now, we've got to hold off these damn brides before they kill anyone else."

 

OOC: yes! she should die!... wow i just realized i tooootally don't remember what i was having jinx do... *rereads* RIGHT!

BIC: Jinx fought more brides, doing many terrible things to remove their bodyy parts from their torsos. Her eyes flashed dark red while venom and blood spilt over the ground. She forced herself to only think of more creative ways to kill the newborns so as not to think about the creature Van Helsing had become.

 

Van Helsing looked down at the ground, seeing the perfect trail leading up to his hiding place. Oh, damn... he thought. How does Edward do this?

Dracula chuckled and whirled around the tree where the werewolf-hunter hid. He grabbed the hide at the back of his massive neck and lifted him into the air, throwing him away from the tree and into another bunch of woods, crashing down several trees in the process. He chuckled at the howl that came out of the werewolf, walking over to the wreckage.

"For thousands of years, Gabriel," he started, just loud enough to here. "All this time, you've never been able to beat me; what makes you think that now, as such an awfully useless animal, you plan to destroy me."

He bent over Van Helsing, the giant wolf tangled in several thorn bushes and the debris of several trees. "You can't win," he finished with a smile.

Edward nodded, shaking his head to clear it. "Alright," he muttered. "Alright..." He stood up next to Hannah, looking over at Jinx's epic battle.

"She seems to be holding them off well enough," he said. "And we all know what Van Helsing's done; lead the main threat away from us because he plans to not come back."

D fought his way back over to Edward and Hannah. "What is going on?" he asked quietly, his long silver sword shining in blood.

 

Jinx kicked a vampire in the face, smashing her skull in as her body flew away. For a moment she had a calm from the seemingly endless stream of brides and she turned back to the small group. "We need to find another antidote." she firmly stated. "Can Lestat help? He's old as dirt, if nothing else he must have seen something like this." her tone was blank and cold (cuz she's coo' like that!) (blah, i'm hyper, someone come online!).

 

OOC: She shall die epically then!

BIC: "A complication has arisen," Hannah grumbled. "But we have time. The next full moon isn't for two weeks."

Beatrice looked over the corpses around her for a sign of the others. She saw Hannah, Edward, D, and Jinx; but she could not spot Van Helsing or Dracula. She closed her eyes a moment and focused on blocking out the chaos around her. After a moment, she could smell Van Helsing's new wolf scent. It was much easier to find him that way. Not giving word to any of the others, she ran off towards Van Helsing and Dracula.

 

Jinx looked D over, debating whether to ask if he knew how to cure werewolfs either. Two weeks... her mind echoed as another bride ran at them. she punched the woman in her chest and put a foot down on her stomach when she fell down.

 

Van Helsing let out a howl, trying to gain his footing through the ruined bunch of wood he was tangled in. Several broken chunks of splintered wood stuck through his thick fur into his sides. He managed to use his teeth to yank them out.

Dracula kicked the werewolf in the side, launching him into another section of the woods. The crash that the giant beast made resounded all throughout the town.

"You thought coming all the way out here would be a good idea!" he called toward the whimpering wolf. "Yet you know they'll come to save you... and then I'll kill them all... and finish you with one of your own silver bullets."

Edward shook his head, absentmindedly touching all his slowly-healing injuries. "What does the moon have to do with anything right now?" he snapped, frustrated. "We have to help him now or the moon won't matter; he will get ripped to pieces by Dracula and then there's no point in saving him. We have to get to him now even if we don't know how to stop the poison!"


D nodded at Edward's words. "You're other friend is headed for them all alone," he muttered, jerking his head over his shoulder smoothly toward where Beatrice was in the direction of the woods.

Bee, Lestat warned suddenly. Do not go in there; you cannot beat those two idiots put together, despite your power. Turn around. Stop, little Bee.

 

Jinx muttered something that sounded like "pain in the ass", brushing past the others and breaking into a full run after Beatrice. Lestat, get your creation out of the way already. She's just going to join Dracula or get killed or something. she thought, incase the older vampire happened to listen.

 

"He can handle Dracula," Hannah argued back. "You should know, Edward, that the changed will be permanent on his first full moon. But if you think he needs help, then by all means, let's go after him."

They can stay and argue; I'm going after Beatrice. Michael took off after Jinx, shaking his head at how Hannah and Edward argued like an old married couple. She's getting in over her head. I knew she should have stayed in the stables.

I can handle this. I know what I'm doing. Beatrice refused to listen to Lestat. She was getting cocky from the number of brides she'd killed.

 

Go to hell! Van Helsing thought viciously, unsure if the vampire could hear him or not. He tried to sit up, blood dripping from matted chunks of fur on both his sides.

Dracula laughed again and strode over to the mangled werewolf, picking up two giant pieces of jagged birch trees as he went with no effort. He swung a hard kick at the werewolf's jaw, and Van Helsing barely dodged it. The vampire hit home the second time, however, driving his fist against the werewolf's huge mouth, breaking several of his own knuckles and flinging half a dozen teeth into the air.

Van Helsing let out a fresh, wounded cry of pain, tasting his own blood on his long, thick tongue. I thought this form was supposed to make me more powerful, make me able to destroy him... but I'm actually worse than usual! I'm distracted... that's it; I'm so worried about everyone else that I can't even beat this mad b.astard to a pulp. Focus... focus...

Dracula suddenly wielded the two chunks of broken, splintered wood high in the air and drove them down hard into the werewolf's forearms, breaking the bones and pinning the beast to the forest floor.

"Yell," he taunted happily, towering over Van Helsing. "Howl your pitiful cry of defeat so they can all come running to your aid... and I can finish this."

Edward cocked his head toward the woods and the new werewolf's cries of pain. He bit his lower lip for a moment, thinking, and watching Bee, Michael, and Jinx disappearing into the trees.

"Let's go, then, and finish this," he said, grabbing Hannah's hand and pulling her forward into a run toward the others.

D sighed, looking down his arm and the long silver sword that hung, bloodied, limp in his palm.

"You're not going as well?" the voice from his right hand began angrily. "After all those *****es you just slaughtered without breaking a sweat, you're gonna let that ****** little possy destroy the big bad ******* all by themselves? Are you kidding me?"

"They will finish him without my help," D cut in calmly. "That is their desire. Besides, I know how to cure the other hunter without that device they had intact hours ago."

You're being stupid, Bee, Lestat warned, quickly changing his location to closer to the battle sight. I know you don't want to listen, but you will die, little one.
