Van Helsing (Cont.)

"We'll all be helping," Van Helsing replied, not looking at Beatrice. "But admit it, no one here is as strong as you."

"He's right, Bee," Edward agreed, trying to give the girl a smile. "But don't worry; we can coordinate the attack well enough that Dracula won't be able to give you much of a counter attack. Just get him still, like Hannah said, and I'll take care of the rest of it."

 

Jinx leaned her cheek on her fist, glancing at dead Anna. "This place has a lot of freaks running around." she commented before looking at Bee. "So, are you up to this?" she asked, pointedly

 

"Don't expect her to respond quickly," Van Helsing sighed. "She's not that confident."

"She could kick your ass," Edward grumbled, folding his arms and going to stand next to Hannah. He touched shoulders with her, the physical contact calming his nerves slightly.

Oh, if I were you I would have beaten off a few limbs of that hunter by now, just to get him to shut it, Lestat suddenly chuckled at Beatrice. You're disappointing me again, little Bee... show a bit more confidence; take it from me: actions may speak louder than words, but language is much prettier.

Dracula drifted down into the city he was currently flying over. He was wasn’t exactly sure where he was but he knew where he wanted to head.

That Will character really wasn’t worth the time, was he? He thought as he landed. But I need more men, that’s a fact. That group of Gabriel’s is getting a little too obnoxiously big, especially when anime freaks start dropping in. Oh, did I say more men? I meant women.

Dracula stopped at a building he knew very well was a brothel, and pulled aside a man that was coming out the back door, dressed in fine clothing.

“Know you’re serving a much higher purpose than yourself here,” Dracula laughed at the man before breaking his neck; he wasn’t hungry. He pulled all the gold jewelry off the man, and found his money pouch as well.

He glided around to the entrance of the building and smiled at the man sitting at a table in the front.

“Can I help ye, sir?” the man asked.

Dracula smiled. “Your women,” he began shortly, walking up to the table and dropping all the wealth on it. “I want them all… now.”

 

Jinx slipped her hand around to cover Van Helsing's mouth. "Let's just assume you said yes, alright Bee? You'll be fine, probably better than the rest of us." she said.

 

"I can do it," Beatrice snapped. Van Helsing was starting to get on her nerves. "I can do more than that, Van Helsing. Now please, shut up."

Hannah smirked. She liked Beatrice better when she was angry.

 

Jinx smiled brightly at Bee, proud of her for standing up for herself finally. But she was ready to put her smile away if Van Helsing looked at her, even he needed an ally sometimes.

 

Van Helsing sighed and shook off Jinx's hand. "Don't know why I trust you people," he muttered grumpily under his breath.

"Cause you're no good alone," Edward whispered, barely loud enough for Hannah to hear.

Not as pretty as I would have expected, Lestat chuckled. But I'm impressed nonetheless...

Dracula looked at the man at the desk expectantly, and the man stared back.

“I’m sorry, sir, but that’s not enough,” the man began carefully.

Dracula narrowed his eyebrows and cocked his head to the side. “Really, now?” he said slowly, his tone low and dangerous. “Are you… absolutely sure about that?”

The man shrank back slightly. “Look… sir,” he started, standing up from the desk. “We have over thirty women here and… you hardly have enough money there for all of them. And that gold necklace looks very similar to the one that man was wearing who just left.”

Dracula sighed and raised his eyes, annoyed. “And you could have lived…” he muttered softly. At lightning speed, his arm was across the desk and yanking the man’s throat to his fangs, which is sank deep into his neck. The man twitched slightly, but the vampire held him still with no effort. A moment later he let the man drop to the floor as loudly as he could.

A moment later a woman rushed out from the back of the building, her hair disheveled, clutching a thin dress to her body. She was obviously busy when she heard the noise and came to the front desk.

“Sir-” she started, and then shrieked, grabbing the door frame when she saw the scene. “What have you done to him?” she squeaked.

Before the vampire could answer, several more women ran out in similar attire, hearing the first girl’s scream. They all clung to each other in the doorway and stared at Dracula and the blood on his lips.

“My darlings,” he crooned slowly, brushing a lock of his black hair out of his face. “Do not stay in this place of sin anymore; come with me and become even more perfect… immortal, powerful, beautiful women.”

 

OOC: dun dun dun! filler post and meaningless dialoge until the plot resumes!!

BIC: Jinx saw the tear from where Lestat had bitten her chest. "Hey where did that come from?" she asked Van Helsing.

OOC: well that was boring... therefore one of the chickies with Dracula can have a name and color ^^

Mary left her room after hearing the scream and footsteps of others, ignoring protests behind her. She pushed through the other women to see what was happening and froze just behind the first woman. "Who is he?" she whispered someone next to her while eyeing his figure and the blood on his lips. She licked her own lips at the disturbing site

 

OOC: lol we suck so bad... XD wow that was quite the pun... im good!

BIC: Van Helsing grumbled under his breath still. "Nothing," he muttered.

"Didn't we just decide that we need to work together and be united instead of arguing?" Edward snapped. His patience was thin with his healing injuries.

Dracula smiled as he listened to the whispering and mumbling of the girls. He would wait a little while before teleporting all the women to his castle.

"A vampire, you silly girl!" the woman, Hikari, replied quietly. "Let's go with him, yes?"

 

OOC: haha punny ;)

BIC: Jinx nodded, ignoring Van Helsing. "Right, so let's just pretend we don't all hate each other long enough to kill Dracula, eh?"

A small smile appeared on Mary's lips. immortal, powerful, perfect. she echoed his words in her head. "Yes." she answered in low tones. "Let's be the first." she added wickedly, taking Hikari's hand and pulling her foward. The two women stood slightly infront of the rest of the whispering women.

 

Van Helsing sighed and stood up, walking over to stand in front of Jinx. He took hold of her shoulders, staring straight into her eyes.

"You," he began softly, his tone serious, "are a very difficult woman."

Edward couldn't help but laugh under his breath, stifling the sound as quickly as he could.

Dracula smiled at the two women that bravely stood at the front of the group.

"You do not show much fear, my pretty ones," he began, folding his arms lightly across his chest. "Why is that, I wonder, out of all you here?"

Hikari smiled nervously and gripped Mary's hand a little tighter before saying, "Because you've chosen the right place; there are many people here that need your help, sir, but my friend and I are the best there is, believe me."

 

Jinx looked straight back. "Why? Because I want us to just get this over with and don't care how?" she asked dismissively

Mary nodded, fighting off the impulse to chew on her lip childishly. "We will be your greatest assets."

 

"I don't know about that," Van Helsing replied steadily. "You just... are."

Dracula looked the women up and down, his smile growing wide enough to show the tips of his fangs. "Brilliant, my lovely ladies," he began smoothly. "That's... perfect. Now," he raised his voice a little louder and let his gaze drift around to all the faces of the women. "You two have courage... but who shall be the first?"

 

Jinx shook her head. "\You donn't expect a change i hope.."

Mary looked back at all her co-workers and than at Hikari. "I will if you want..." she said, alittle of her youth and nervous feelings peeking through her tone.

 

"A stubborn little vampire girl, change?" Van Helsing smirked. "I'm not going to hope for a miracle."

Dracula looked at the girl for a moment, and then stepped forward, slowly putting a hand up to her cheek, brushing the back of his hand against her smooth skin. His motion quick as lightning, he reached back and grabbed a handful of hair at the back of her head, yanking her neck back to expose her throat at a severe angle.

"You'll find, my dear," he whispered softly, lowering his mouth to hers, "that I'm not always as sweet as my voice."

He smiled and then kissed the girl on the lips, quickly working his way down to the base of her throat. Without another second of delay, he sunk his fangs hard into the side of her neck, his other arm snaking around her waist to hold her still. He drew fast, rough mouthfuls of blood for a full minute before letting her go, his vision sharpening and his body strengthening with all the new life inside him.

Hikari gasped and stepped forward to catch Mary as she staggered faintly.

 

Mary fell back into Hikari's arms, her hands shakily trying to touch the wound at her neck. She stared vapidly at Dracula, wondering if he had meant to just kill them after all.

Jinx patted his hand on her shoulder. "So we understand each other. What was the point of this conversation?"

 

Van Helsing laughed quietly. "Just messing with you, I guess," he smiled, and pinched both her cheeks before letting her go.

Dracula licked his lips and sighed, trying his best not to laugh.

"What on earth did you do to her?" Hikari asked. "She doesn't look well at all!"

Dracula laughed, his tone dark and amused. "Give her a minute," he muttered excitedly. "Just let the venom spread all over her body... and then she'll be a hundred times stronger than all of you."

 

Jinx slapped away his fingers, "That is a nasty habit you're getting into," she pouted slightly, tapping his lips playfully with her index finger.

Mary steadily found her breath coming easier and easier. She clutched Hikari's arms tightly but every second her grip became stronger. Her senses sharpened, causing her eyes to actually hurt from the light. When she finally was able to open them again, she looked over Dracula carefully. "Oh..." she cooed lightly, unaware of how much she was hurting Hikari. "You are beautiful." she stated in awe.

 

"I'd apologize but then you'd call me a liar," Van Helsing frowned, even though he wanted to smile.

"As are you," Dracula replied happily, glad to see how well she was responding. She wasn't lying after all, he thought. She is one of the better ones.

"Let go!" Hikari finally exclaimed, trying to pull her arm away from Mary, but found she didn't have the strength.

Dracula smiled when he saw all the other women gasp in awe and admiration at Mary's new power. "No need to be jealous, lovelies," he began. "Soon you will all be just as she is... I'm sure there are no objections, because it doesn't matter at this point."

 

Mary let go of her friend looking almost bored with her cry. "Oh.. wow..." she easily lifted Hikari's arm to see the bruises she'd caused. "I'm sorry." she automaticly apologized without being very focused on it. She was more interested in seeing, feeling, hearing, and smelling the world around her. Looking over the other women she actually laughed. They always looked so pretty before but now she saw their flaws.

"No formalites with us I guess." Jinx kept up her mock pout as long as he kept frowning at her.
