Van Helsing (Cont.)

"Get over yourself," Beatrice muttered grumpily. She swatted the sword away, walked on, and folded her arms. I don't get it. They're still mad at me? Even Hannah, after I saved her butt? Why do I bother?

Hannah's jaw nearly dropped at Beatrice's attitude. "Well that was... different...."

 

"That's just the vampire in her kicking in." Jinx shrugged, a small smile on her lips as she watched Bee saunter off. Her attention then turned back to D. "So who are you anyways?"

 

"Hey, you son of a b.itch, who the hell do you think you are?" Van Helsing snapped, using his free arm to pull out his gun. "I've had enough people trying to stand me up! Who the hell are you?"

D frowned, surprised at the girl's guts. "I'm D... Vampire Hunter."

"Bee," Edward began, not interested in the new comer. "Stop running away if you really care about us."

 

Jinx winced at Van Helsing's yelling in her ear. "Another hunter, lovely. That's exactly what we need." she said, sarcasticly.

 

Hannah looked to Jinx with a mechevious grin. "Want to kill him? One less hunter in the world can't do that much harm."

Beatrice stopped in her tracks. She rubbed her dry eyes of the tears that would have been there if she were still human. I don't see why I should stay if no one is going to trust me. She looked at the stairs beneath her feet.

 

Jinx laughed quietly, "I don't kill humans." she answered Hannah, "You know that. Besides I owe this one, unfortunetly." she smiled at Van Helsing. "So will you not shoot him?"

 

"By rights, you should kill all the *****es! I can't believe you're letting all the scum tal-"

"Out of line!" D snapped, crushing his palm against his sword's hilt. "If you all serve no threat, I won't hurt any of you."

Edward sighed and turned his attention away from Beatrice. He looked at the newcomer, wondering where the other voice was coming from.

Van Helsing frowned. He didn't know what to say or do. There is no evil in him as far as I can tell... therefore I cannot shoot.

 

Jinx looked at D's hand. "Did your hand just swear at you?" she asked, confused.

 

Hannah was about to call Jinx a party pooper, but her next comment caught her off gaurd. "That's ridiculous, Jinx. Hands don't talk."

Beatrice remained still on the stairs. Now she wasn't sure if she should leave them, or go back and join them.

 

D sighed and took the glove off his right hand. The face that was embedded in his palm stretched out, yawning.

"You're all a bunch of ****ing monsters!" it shouted. "D, this is ridiculous, kill them, please-"

D balled it into a fist again. "A parasite," he explained shortly. "He's useful, but not right now."

"I see," Van Helsing muttered. "I have to thank you for killing Will. He was quite the handful."

 

Jinx laughed alittle at the hand's comment. "Hello." she greeted it, thinking that talking to a hand was almost the weirdest thing that had happened so far. "You seem like a bigger ****ing monster to me. nice to meet you." she said, using it's own words.

 

OOC: Holy crudders! I can't believe you said that! o.O

BIC: "That was lovely," Hannah commented to Jinx.

 

"I like that on-"

D cut off the voice again. "Say one more word and I'm slicing you off," he muttered.

"Ok..." it sighed.

D shrugged his shoulders and sheathed his blade on his back. "I apologize."

Edward smiled. He liked this one much more than Van Helsing.

 

Jinx just laughed again. "I like him." she decided. "So are we going to move or just stand around in the door way until Dracula comes back?"

 

"Let's go," Van Helsing agreed. "Thanks for the help, D, but we have to be going."

"Come with us," Edward began suddenly. "We could use the help and we have common goals."

D looked around at them all. "Half of you are vampires, no?"

 

"Two of us if you count Bee. We're a rather mixed group." Jinx answered, giving Van Helsing a 'be nice' look as he tried to leave without D again. "It would be nice if you didn't kill any of us."

 

D glanced at them all for a moment, and then gave a swift nod.

"Fine," Van Helsing snapped, giving Edward a dirty look. "Let's go."

"Let's get Bee, too, please," Edward added.

"God, who the hell put you in charge?" Van Helsing snapped.

 

"Gabriel, calm down." Jinx asked, hoping he would calm down alittle until they got back to the castle.

 

"This damn werewolf thinks he's the greatest thing in the world, as if he wasn't lying on the floor as well," Van Helsing muttered angrily.

"At least it took more than a rock for me," Edward snapped moodily.

"You-" Van Helsing began, but cut himself off. "You're not worth the trouble; you have the venom to kill that b.astard in you and you couldn't even manage that."

"Werewolf venom will kill a vampire lord?" D asked quietly.

Edward gave a nod. "That's why I'm here."

 

Hannah was glad they hadn't gotten started on a lycan conversation. If D started asking questions, she wouldn't have very many answers for him. "I agree. Let's get Beatrice."

Beatrice looked over her shoulder. Hannah still wanted her to stay?
