Van Helsing (Cont.)

OOC: It's your mom, Vanny.

BIC: Beatrice shook her head, remembering why she was there. She turned and ran up the steps. She had a feeling Dracula would be higher rather than down where she was.

Good idea. Hannah grinned. She moved slowly up the stairs, careful not to make a sound.

 

"If it's not Dracula, I'm not worry about it. Can you smell him?" Van Helsing asked.

Hannah, above you! Edward growled, and let out a harsh bark at Will. His hackles raised and he bared his teeth, starting toward, his nails digging into the stone ground in anger.

"Hello, Hannah," Dracula began from the ceiling. "You seem to have brought more than your lovely self."

"I didn't know little girls wander around vampire's castles. Hey, why don't you go after her; she had a very nice as-"

D clenched his hand shut against his sword's hilt. "Goddamit," the voice continued. "Just pretty much broke my nose, you *******-"

D unsheathed his sword completely, keeping the blade close to his hip. He leaned against the nearest wall, listening.

 

Hannah smirked up at Dracula, her hands on her hips. "Glad you noticed. For a moment, I thought your big, obessed head would be too focused on yourself."

Beatrice kept a hand on the wall as she walked. She could see perfectly, that much was true, but she felt a bit better having something to hold on to.

 

Jinx's lips twitched in a smile as she picked up the swearing from the unidentified person. She kept quiet though, since no one seemed to want to know about this guy. She was sure he was going to be more of a problem than the screaming vampire that had just pasted them. "Yes..." she finally answered, drawing out the word. "He's up there..." she pointed up the stairs. "Along with Hannah and Edward and," she blew out her breath huffily. "Will."

"That's a rude way to speak to your host." Will commented, looking down at the lycan and werewolf.

 

"Let's move farther into the castle," Van Helsing suggested. "Toward where Hannah, Carl, Edward, and Michael headed... I'm getting worried."

Dracula smiled, casually shaking the lose threads of hair in from his ponytail out of his face. "You're not the smartest girl, taunting someone like me with that mutt as your only protection."

He fell from the ceiling and landed in front of Hannah, his eyes burning.

Edward let out a fierce howl and launched himself at Dracula.

The vampire chuckled softly and swung a harsh kick into Edward's side, sending the werewolf flying into the nearest pillar.

"I'm glad you came back to me willingly, Hannah," Dracula continued. "Are you ready to go?"

D frowned further when he heard the commotion continue above him. He climbed another set of stairs.

"Damn, you're slow, D... you'd think that you would want to just move it and kill whatever ******* is up there."

D blinked slowly, continuing to adjust his eyes to the deepening darkness. "The one we are after might be... a relative of mine. I will take my time."

 

Jinx nodded and started climbing the stairs, her focus split between the trouble above her and the odd person below.

Will lept down a few feet away from the two as well, keeping an eye on Edward so he wouldn't interfere.

 

"I'm not going anywhere with you," Hannah answered. She balled one hand into a fist and swung at Dracula's jaw.

 

"Did you hear that?" Van Helsing snapped. "Edward, that's him! That howl!"

Edward whimpered as he tried to get up. Damn, he's fast! he groaned in his mind. He shook the pieces of rumble off his back, marble and stone sticking in his fur.

Dracula laughed, grabbing Hannah's fist and her other wrist, twisting them down at a sharp angle. "You'd best listen... or I will have my friend rip your boyfriend apart."

D stopped in his tracks at the top of the third floor. He leaned against the wall, keeping himself hidden in the shadows. Werewolves? I've never dealt with those, really... and several vampires... three? No, that can't be right... I'd best stay right here.

 

Will kicked out at Edward's chest, throwing him back down before he could get back up and fight.

"Then hurry up." Jinx answered curtly, giving up keeping at their pace and running up the stairs at her own speed. "Sh...oot." (LOOK... nice words)

 

Edward, are you okay? Hannah asked silently, keeping her eyes locked with Dracula's.

OOC: I'm so proud of you!!

 

"Hey!" Van Helsing snapped, not used to seeing Jinx go so fast. "Dammit, wait for me!"

Edward growled low in his throat. Yes... just let me lay here for a moment... then I'll rip this guy apart...

"Are you going to come freely or shall we kill the dog to make you comply, my dear?" Dracula asked kindly.

"D, nice-ass girl is behind you."

The hunter turned at the phrase, spinning his blade to place the tip at the girl's throat. His hair falling into one of his eyes, he glared at the girl with the other.

"She's a vampire. Kill her, D, while you-"

He clenched his hand shut again. "You're out of line," he muttered.

 

JInx ignored Van helsing's yelling behind her, alreading taking her dagger out just in case. "Leave her alone." she growled, seeing Dracula and Hannah.

Will looked over, "Ah, so you all decided to join us." he smirked as the three walked into the room. "Stay down, boy." he added sharply to Edward.

 

"Stay out of this!" Hannah yelled over her shoulder at Jinx and Van Helsing (since they're the only ones that matter). She turned her head back to Dracula. "You should know by now that I don't ever go quietly. Especially when I don't know what I'm wanted for."

Beatrice looked down the length of the sword to see its holder. She wanted to ask his name, why he was here, or who else was talking, but she couldn't bring herself to. She had to get to Dracula; she's promised Lestat she'd do something to help her friends. She reached up and grabbed the sword and pushed it away, not even feeling the sting of the blade as it cut into her palm.

 

"Dammit, this doesn't look good," Van Helsing gasped when he caught up to Jinx. He aimed his bow at Dracula. "Don't threaten him, dear," he added quietly to Jinx, going to stand at her side. "He can rip her apart."

Edward growled, flexing his muscles and getting to his feet. He faced Will and snarled, scraping his nails on the tile again.

"That one is yours, is she not?" Dracula asked Will. "I'll finish the hunter, then."


D narrowed his eyebrows, looking at the blood on his silver blade.

"What the hell is wrong with that girl?"

"She's not a threat," D murmured, and stepped to look around the corner again.

"The one by the werewolf seems to be the one we want. Run him through, D!"

"No," the hunter shook his head. "Wait..."

 

Jinx clenched her jaw and tightened her hold on her dagger.

Will looked down at Edward carelessly. "You don't listen do you?" he asked, as the werewolf stood up. Not remembering if Edward was affected by his powers or not, he sent out a sleepy feeling to him experimentally. (PS: he can die whenever you feel like killing him)

 

Dracula threw at a rock at Van Helsing's head, knocking him to the ground unconscious.

Van Helsing cried out and fell over, blood leaking from his forehead.

Dracula laughed. "That was quite simple."

Edward growled and launched himself at Will, digging his claws into the vampire's back despite the drowsy feeling coming over him.

 

Will could see Edward having a harder time keepign his eyes open. "Ah good." he said, even as Edward's nails dug into his skin. He intesified the feeling and grabbed the werewolf by the shoulders, throwing him into he wall agian. As he tried to stand back up, Will walked over and hoisted him up sharply only to drive his fist into Edward's stomach, then chest, than face.

Jinx cried out, seeing Van Helsing fall. She dropped her dagger and caught him before he hit the ground with his head. "Anna watch him." she ordered, anger flaring in her eyes.

 

Hannah smirked at her chance when Dracula let her go. Balling her fist again, she landed a hard punch into Dracula's cheek.

Beatrice wiped her hand on her breeches. "Who are you?" She asked of D. "And what are you doing here?"

 

OOC: man this is intense! :D

BIC: Dracula grunted, blood spurting from his lips as he stepped back from the impact.

"You little b.itch," he snarled, stepping forward and grabbing Hannah by the throat. Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth (just like in anime! XD) and down his chin. "I should kill you now."

Edward howled in pain, whining after each punch. Hannah... he whimpered mentally to no one in particular.

D looked down at the girl and stared at her for a moment. "Stay back," he murmured shortly, and swept forward into the third floor room.

He turned in a sharp arc toward Will, slicing his blade through the vampire's arm. Through the spurt of blood, he ran the blade into Will's torso, pulling it up swiftly to his wind pipe.

D pulled out the blade as Will fell crumpled on his knees, and cut across the vampire's neck, sending his head flying fifty feet into the opposite direction.

He sighed, and let the blade rest on his hip once more.

 

Will's last concious thought: pooh bear.

Jinx felt like someone had stabbed her in the heart and screamed. She stared at the new comer. "You killed him!" she shrieked, holding her hand over her heart as she fell to the floor. (ooooh drama)
