Van Helsing (Cont.)

Jinx looked up at the castle again. "Sure, let's hope the rest is as easy." she agreed as Anna appeared next to her.

 

Van Helsing gave Edward a dirty look before going through the mirror as well.

"Are you ready?" Edward asked Hannah, grabbing her hand.

"Why, to be loved, of course!" Lestat exclaimed. "To feel wanted, powerful, important, included... most of all loved, as you know."

 

"Things are going well," Hannah grumbled.

"Then why do you hang around here?" Beatrice asked.

 

"Wait for those two," Van Helsing said to everyone once he reached the other side of the mirror.

Edward nodded. "Whatever happens in there, the goal is to get rid of Carl, which should be easy, trick Michael into letting us alone, and we can get away. We'll find Dracula or wherever he's gone and finish this... alright?"

"Would you rather I left you here alone?" Lestat asked with a snort.

 

Carl walked through and met with everyone. He looked around, thinking of where they might meet Dracula.

Jinx tapped her fingers on her arm impatiently.

 

"Alright," Hannah agreed.

"I think we should keep an eye on Edward and Hannah," Michael glanced at the mirror. "You never know what they've got planned."

 

Jinx sighed, "I hate to agree, but you're right. Try not to let them slip away from you." she suggested to Micheal.

 

OOC: i thought michael DIED! oh well...

BIC: Van Helsing looked around once everyone had arrived. "Alright, my group, follow me. We have till nightfall to meet back on the other side of the mirror."

Edward looked to Michael and Carl, still keeping a grip on Hannah's hand. "Shall we, boys?" he asked with a small smile.

 

Jinx followed Van Helsing along with Anna, saying "good luck" to the Carl and Micheal as she passed.

Carl nodded to Edward. "Ready." he agreed, cheerfully.

 

"Let's head out," Michael agreed.

"No," Beatrice said hastily.

 

Van Helsing led his group into the castle and headed East, up the first set of stairs. He pulled out his weapons, listening for any noise.

"Come on, then," Edward said, and waved his own group forward. Once we get inside, he sent to Hannah, We will find the Dwergi and use them as a distraction. Run with me, leave Carl with Michael to deal with those little monsters.

"Then make your decision, little Bee," Lestat replied smoothly. "You don't want to here alone, you don't want to help your friends, you can't go home without my help, and you... need to make some decision."

 

Jinx followed Van Helsing, ears precked for any noises. She looked around with intrest though, as this time she had time to take in the odd machines in the castle.

 

Okay. Hannah answered.

"We should start by seeing if there are any books he might have lying around," Anna suggested.

"I don't know what to do," Beatrice's voice was soft and sad.

 

"Why do I have the feeling we're being watched?" Van Helsing whispered.

"You've been silent for a while," Edward spoke to Michael as they walked. "What have you been thinking?"

"You must decide," Lestat encouraged. "Or I shall get bored with you."

 

"Because we are being watch?" Jinx answered in a low voice, her eyes flicking up to the ceiling. "Dwergi probably..."

 

"I could ask you two the same thing," Michael replied. "I wasn't thinking about anything important."

"I can't!" Beatrice cried. "I... I just want things to be normal."

 

Van Helsing looked up too. "Anna," he began, ignoring her last words. "Can you see anything?"

"Just about what to do when we reach Dracula," Edward replied cooly. "I'd expect you to do the same if you have any part in the interests of this group."

"Please," Lestat sighed, rarely using this word, "You must accept change; you have to learn that there are new 'normals.'"

 

"I have a feeling that Dracula only puts on a strong front," Michael began. "Last time, we over thought things."

Anna looked up and around. "I only see about a dozen Dwergi."

"New normals aren't normal," Beatrice stared at the ground. "Their new... and scary...."

 

"They won't be a problem even if they attack." Jinx looked up at the small vampires. "How are those... things... even made?" she asked, watching their movements curiously.

"So now we underthink it?" Carl asked Micheal doubtfully. "We didn't put much thought into it last time, really."

 

"Well, I can take care of that!" Van Helsing laughed, and fired his guns up at the Dwergi. He managed to shoot three before nine jumped down onto the floor in front of them.

Edward nodded. "It's getting dark up here," he said as they climbed some nearby stairs. "It'd be nice to see something."

Lestat sighed. "It's too bad the new normals are all you have."
