Van Helsing (Cont.)

Will thought about it for a moment. "Hm, that depends on her personality really. But from what's I've seen of her, she seems the type to bend under a little pressure. I would probably frighten her at this point because, to be honest, she needs a good scare." he laughed. "But I'm not quite as nice as you when it comes to my own children, so I wouldn't follow my advice."

 

"You want to leave?" Hannah questioned, not sure if she'd gotten the right notion.

Beatrice made her way through the dark hall of the upper part of the castle, slightly perturbed by the occasional squeak of a bat. "Creepy things..." She mumbled quietly. "Wait..." She stopped in mid-stride. "Um... excuse me, but could you help me out?" She raised her head to look at two bats in the corner of the ceiling.

What do you need help with?

Beatrice was surprised by the high pitch that the bat's mental voice had. "I was looking for a way out of here. Do you know of one?"

Why of course: the windows!

Beatrice sighed; it wasn't the answer she was looking for. "I meant one that doesn't involve flying."

 

Van Helsing woke from his nap and looked around. Anna and Carl were still asleep."Hey," he muttered at Jinx. "Isn't it morning yet?"

Edward shook his head slightly. "No," he began. "I meant... well, I guess you're kind of right. You see...all we really need is us. We should go after him alone. You will be strong enough to fight Dracula with me, and I have the venom in me to destroy him. We don't need the others.

Lestat nodded at Will's words. "Every time I scare her she gets whiny and innocent on me, like she doesn't have all this power in her veins that could rip me apart." He paused with a smile as Beatrice's actions drifted through his head. Cute, he thought to himself. "And, honestly," he added aloud to Will, "I think that's very attractive."

 

'You're right," Hannah said thoughtfully. "It would put the other's out of harms way... and we'd get business done faster. Plus, with Dracula out of the way, Bee might come back to her senses."

"Please," Beatrice beseeched. "If you help me, you can stay with me if you'd like."

She thinks we want to leave!

Oh, she is a funny one.

"You like it here?" Beatrice asked and then shook her head. "Never mind that. I'm willing to make a deal with you."

In over her head, this one is.

A deal you say?

"Yes," Beatrice said firmly. She hated how the bats kept distracting her. "What is it you want?"

Nothing really.

Yes, we're quite content here.

"Forget it then," Beatrice folded her arms.

Oh, she's got a temper too.

Ha! I'd like to see how long she lasts here.

"You're not very nice bats," Beatrice started to walk away.

Where did she get the notion that bats are nice?

I don't know... maybe she comes from another world where bats are accomodating and sweet.

That sounds sickening.

Beatrice continued to walk until she couldn't hear the bats inane blabber.

BIC: Edward smiled a little, the corners of his mouth lifting, glad she agreed. "We really do only need ourselves and that mirror. You think if we went through and smashed the other side everyone else couldn't follow and get in the way?"

 

"But how would we get back?" Hannah asked, not wanting to be trapped on Dracula's side.

OOC: haha! Just wait till later when Bee really starts to have some fun!

 

"Good question," Edward thought, frowning slightly as he considered the situation. "There must be another way out, like... a long way from the castle that's not magically transported like the mirror works. My point is, the others will try to follow us if they find we've gone on our own, and I don't know how to keep them from getting in the way."

 

OOC: haha, awesome Angelina. the plot is back it looks like!

BIC: Jinx looked up from her book to the window. "Yes, the sun's coming up." she tossed the book haphazardly onto a shelf. "Good morning."

"Who would have thought? The great Lestat, falling for puppy dog eyes." Will chuckled. "That's very interesting to know...." he mused, thoughtfully

 

"It's worth a shot," Hannah decided. "There's not much to lose anyway."

Beatrice stumbled on the stairs but caught herself. Frustrated, she sat down and held her head in her hands. Just as self-pity was starting to grab hold of her, she shook her head and stood back up. "I can do this. I don't need help. It's my mistake and I'll fix it." She told herself firmly.

 

OOC: leave it to angelina to fix the plot with BATS!!! lol

BIC: "Are you sure you're okay?" Van Helsing asked Jinx, looking over at her and stretching in his chair. "I mean... you took quite a beating with Aleera down there. I'm sorry I couldn't help you."

Edward leaned back on the bed, taking Hannah with him and tucking her under his arm. "You know there's lots to lose... I could lose you."

Lestat sighed. "I guess it's just the fact that she's so naive to what's been given to her that I want to teach her... and my ways of teaching women usually are very... forward."

 

"I've gotten a bit harder to kill," Hannah murmured, slightly joking. The she added seriously, "You don't have to worry about me."

OOC: EPICNESS! *yanks angelyn and bows down*

Edward sighed. "I believe you... now it's just the question of when we can leave. They can't see us go because then they'll follow. It's almost morning..."

 

"Then we'll have to wait until night," Hannah concluded. "We're not in a rush."

 

"I know..." Edward agreed. "I'm..." He paused, yawning. "I'm going to have to sleep for a bit soon. If you need to go out, you should. I'm sorry to have kept you from... food."

 

"Don't worry about it," Hannah's smile faded. "It's not like I enjoy doing it. But now that the sun's up, I'll have to be extra careful."

 

"You'll be fine," Edward insisted, kissing her cheek. "The sooner you go out, the sooner you can come back here with me."

 

OOC; *bows with Hannah* all hail the bat plot queen

BIC: Jinx smiled reassuringly at Van Helsing. "It's fine, you had your hands full. Don't waste time worrying about things like that, I healed while you were asleep." she stretched her arms over her head and down to her feet. "Did you sleep well? No bad dreams or premonitions of doom?" she asked, absently wondering about Hannah and Edward as well. She didn't let her mind wander to Bee for the moment.

Will nodded, amused by his wording. "Yes, I can tell. At least that's one method we agree on."

 

OOC: Who knew? ^o^ I SHALL ROOL THIS WORLD!! >=D

BIC: "Then I'll go extra fast," Hannah smiled again and stood up. She didn't really want to leave, but hunting would be a good way to get rid of some of her anger. She left the room and headed down the stairs.

 

OOC: haha... wait? isnt the whole bat-thing a little ironically funny in a vampire thread?? wow.... O.o

BIC: "Sorry," Van Helsing said, stretching further in his chair as well. "I mean... I guess I kind of overlook the fact that you're not human, thinking your injuries will last longer and hurt more. Maybe it's because I'm so used to vampires not being as sweet as you."

Edward watched Hannah go, trying his best not to worry about her. I hope she can see that it doesn't matter to me what she does, he thought, lying back down and shutting his eyes. I mean... she could kill anyone to keep herself alive and I'd still love her... is that wrong?

Lestat nodded. "Something tells me she wouldn't enjoy that kind of lesson... what do you think? You don't know the girl, but you've seen her personality as she's friends... well, was friends with your child."

 

OOC: uuuumm... yes no maybe so?

"As you say, I don't know her. But from how she reacts to circumstances, I think it isn't so much that she wouldn't like it. It's more that she seems frightened of experiecing things." Will answered, "On a more reality based level, maybe the best way to answer your question would be to ask her yourself?"

Jinx sat back in the chair comfortably. "Thank you, it is very nice to be called sweet after killing something like Aleera." she laughed. "Don't worry about anything, though." she looked around the room, momentarily watching Anna sleep. "And you? Are you okay...?" she asked, looking where he was shot.
