Van Helsing (Cont.)

"Thanks," Hannah stood up. "I won't take long."

Oh... Beatrice released the breath she was holding.

 

Edward sat down on the bed and put his head in his hands. "Just... be careful."

 

"Hey... I'm not going to eat any humans. I'll be fine," Hannah assured Edward.

 

"I don't care if you do," Edward began, looking up at her now. "Whatever makes you happy and makes you feel better, please do. It doesn't bother me."

 

"Yeah, well I'm not about to get little miss princess even more angry with us," Hannah sighed. "I'll just go find a bear or something."

 

"Like I said," Edward replied. "Whatever makes you happy. That's important... you know you'll live now, thanks to me and Lestat."

 

Hannah lowered her eyes. She owed Edward a lot; putting off a meal for a while was just a little thing she could do for him. "You know... I'm not really hungry anymore...." She sat back down on the bed next to Edward. "You... You wanted to talk to me?"

 

Will laughed quietly. "Oh I see, that's a real surprise."

 

"I just want to know how you feel right now," Edward began, reaching forward to grab her wrist. He pulled her down on the bed next to him, turning so their noses almost touched. "We haven't been able to... to talk for a while. I want to know what you think about... about everything. Bee, Anna, Van Helsing... all that we're in. Just to be on the same page, you know?"

OOC: aww! *tear*

 

"Yes, she's not the brightest one," Lestat sighed, easily sending Beatrice a polite mental image of him and Will to let her know what he was doing (he had no idea why he was being nice to her) and made sure he winked a little out of the corner of his eye for her to see.

 

"Well," Hannah started with a sigh. "I think Bee is in over her head, and dosen't know how to handle anything that's happening to her, but she's too full of pride and ridiculous notions to ask for help. And I don't think we're getting her back; even if we do, I'm not going to welcome her with open arms or a smile. I think that Anna is full of herself and is only agreeing to help us because it will help her and she can't stop staring at Van Helsing. But she's not entirely bad, she did love her brother. I just don't like how she turned us out at first just because we're... different. As far as Van Helsing goes, I don't know what to think of him. I never have. All I know is that this is just another job to him, and we're tools he can use. I'm sure he'll get rid of us once the job is done." Her eyes closed tightly and her fists clenched. "But what gets to me the most... is that Van Helsing and that b.itch are practically on the same side! All she can see is the monster side of us! We're not... I'm... I'm not a monster! I didn't ask to be this way.... So why do people always make the desicion that we're some sort of killing machine before getting to know us? There are so many times that I've wanted to kill her, but that would just be proving everything that she and her people believe about me and my kind... I'm not really hungry, I just wanted to kill something other than Anna."

"Will...?" Beatrice let out a small gasp.

 

OOC: omg, i love the big post XD way to break up the action of one liners :P

BIC: "Obviously. How old is she? Still a newborn right?" Will laughed, "Looks like you picked a rouge. Ah well, better luck on your next 'child'."

 

OOC: Yeah.. but it kind of died with Bee. XD

 

Edward sighed, listening to what Hannah had said. "It's good that you can control yourself," he agreed. "I can't see any use for Anna besides the fact that the portal to Dracula's castle is in her house. But now... I don't think there is much we can do to get rid of her. As for Bee... I don't know what to do."

Lestat rolled his eyes. "She is very young," he replied. "I never meant to make another child... everything seems to go badly when I make those impulsive decisions."

 

"There isn't any use for Anna," Hannah muttered coldly. "I don't think we can do anything for Bee... She made the choice by herself. And if she regrets it, then she can fix it herself."

 

"Her youth should make her easier to control." Will shook his head. "Maybe you need more practice becoming impulsive so that you can handle these kinds of situation?" he suggested and then laughed. "But then again, you probably won't have this kind of thing happen again."

 

"Don't be angry," Edward insisted quietly, putting his arm around Hannah and pulling her next to him. "You're not as cute when you're angry."

Lestat let out a little chuckle. "Hmm," he muttered. "I bet you know a bit about persuasion, huh?"

 

Hannah cracked a smile. "So I've been told before. But really, it's hard to stay happy with this group."

 

Will grinned and shrugged. "I've had practice." he answered simply.

 

Edward smiled at Hannah. "Well..." he began. "You know the two of us could take charge on our own."

Lestat looked at Will. "What would you do with one like my Beatrice, then?"
