Van Helsing (Cont.)

Beatrice quickly looked away, her hand lightly touched Dracula's bite on her neck.

OOC: Don't you love writer's block? lulz

 

"It's nothing I really remember," Van Helsing replied. "Not a name I really like, either."

"It's not that bad," Dracula replied. "I'm lonely...so are you. You can choose whomever you wish to be your companions as well."​

 

"I said no," Beatrice refused again. she turned around and headed for the door.

 

"I don't see why not, it fits you." Jinx responded, "Besides, I like it." she smirked at him.

 

"If you like it, you can use it," Van Helsing said, giving Jinx a smile.

Dracula sighed and shut his eyes, materializing at the door in front of Beatrice.

"Off to explore already?" he whispered.​

 

"I probably will." Jinx agreed, thoughtfully. "Using you're last name is annoyingly formal."

 

Beatrice took a step back, startled. "No. I'm going home."

 

"True," Van Helsing replied as they reached the bottom of the stairs.

"You cannot get past me, little Bee," Dracula replied. "You can try... I'd love to see it."​

 

Beatrice brought herself to lock eyes with Dracula. "I'm going home." She said angrily. With more strength than she intended, or knew she had, she landed a punch in Dracula's face.

 

Dracula smiled, his jaw cracking back into place. "Show me your real strength," he provoked. "Do it."​

 

Jinx held the door open enough for everyone to get through as they headed for the mirror.

 

Van Helsing went through first, the chill of the mirror not bothering him. He put Edward down on the chair by the fireplace in the sitting room, happy to see the skin almost healed over his fixed bones.

 

Beatrice glared at Dracula. She'd do what she needed to get back to Edward and Lestat. Summoning strength this time, she forced her fist back at Dracula.

OOC: Once upon a time, there was an ugly vampire. he was also a pansy! his name was louis. ^.^

 

Edward groaned and sat back in the chair, his arms burning and tingling at the same time.

"I'm sorry," he muttered at Van Helsing. "I should have finished this when I had the chance."

 

"We should have finished it," Hannah corrected. "It's not all up to you."

"Technically-" Anna cut herself short when Hannah gave her an icy glare.

 

Van Helsing nodded at Hannah's words. "You'd best not anger your comrades, Hannah," he added aloud, jerking his head toward Anna. "We've learned with... with Beatrice that angering those on your side does not turn out well."

Dracula braced himself and found himself forced backward a step. "I'm impressed," he spoke. "Now... do you really think you can get past me and out of this castle?"​

 

Hannah opened her mouth to retort, but instead, she turned her head over her shoulder and vanished. It took but a milisecond for her to get outside. Cursing, she slammed her fist into the wall, breaking several bricks.

Anna blinked and Hannah was gone. "Do you think you might have touched a nerve?" She asked Van Helsing. "She seems like the most sesitive of your group."

"I will," Beatrice snarled. "I know your kind.... Beneath all your pretenses, you're weak."

 

Van Helsing sighed. "I only meant for her to keep her temper to solve problems instead of provoking them."

"I want to see your strength," Dracula whispered, reaching out and putting his hands on Beatrice's shoulders. "You're the one seeming weak right now. A punch? Come now... you can do better."​

 

Beatrice grabbed Dracula's arms and kicked him in the gut. She backed away then, looking for another way out.

"How old is she?" Anna asked.

 

"Eighteen." Jinx answered Anna. "Practically a newborn herself." she looked off towards where Hannah had run off. " so, her high emotions aren't entierly her fault." she allowed, unenthusiasticly.
