BIC: Aleera moved a strand of hair out her face, slightly irritated by the rain. "You shouldn't be so heartless."

"Says the demon bride of the most hated vampire in the world!" Hannah snapped back.

In a blinding movement, Aleera had Hannah pinned on the ground by her throat. "You should have chosen better last words." Without hesitation, Aleera snapped Hannah's neck.

"Hannah!" Beatrice cried out.

OOC: din din time!

 

Van Helsing stood up, grabbing his bow off the ground and turning to Jinx, Anna, Carl, Michael, and Beatrice.

"I've had enough of this," he sighed. "Whoever's coming up these stairs to find Dracula with me, I'm going now."

He looked at Jinx for one more moment before going up the stairs once more.

 

Edward ran to where Beatrice stood, hanging onto her shoulder slightly to lean out the window into the rain. He let out a long, angry howl when he saw Hannah and fell to the stone floor, feeling his blood rush faster and hotter through his veins.

"Bee," he managed, his voice half a growl as he looked up at her from the floor. "Be... careful..."

Then Edward turned and, a moment later, was covered in fur, his eyes red and his claws scraping on the stone floor as he jumped into the windowsill and out onto the wall of the castle. The stone was wet from the constant rain and he found himself sliding faster than he intended toward the bridge below.

 

"Too easy," Aleera stood up and kicked Hannah's body to one side of the bridge. She looked up to see Edward coming and quickly transformed to fly upwards and out of his range.

Beatrice, thinking back about Verona, knew that Edward would be able to handle Aleera. She hurried after Van Helsing.

Anna readied her gun once more and followed Van Helsing.

 

Michael followed after Beatrice. "What did you see?"

 

Jinx ran after Van Helsing, ignoring all the other fighting going on around them. She caught up easily and was already looking for the right direction to Dracula.

Will walked through the mirror as well. "I'd like to watch that as well." he said, when they were on the other side. "look at that, it's already started." he added, grinning at the group fighting and running.

 

"Jinx, Anna," Van Helsing began. "There has to be something we can do to get to Dracula, stall him until Edward can get up here to help..."

 

Edward landed heavily on the bridge in front of Aleera, padding carefully over to Hannah's body. He nudged her with his nose, whining slightly when she didn't respond. He heard Aleera's laughing happily above him and growled, his hackles raised as he met her gaze.

You're going to die for touching her, you monster! he shouted clearly in the vampire's mind, his anger rising even further when she smiled widely at him. He crouched, ready to pounce when she moved.

 

Feeling useless, my little Bee? Lestat crooned happily at Beatrice. You could help him, you know; repay Edward for always protecting and saving you... I doubt he can win this fight with how strong that bride seems to be; she's much better than those other two. Do you need my help? I'd be more than happy to... give you a... encouraging push, my dear.

 

No, Beatrice replied to Lestat. I want to do it myself. She looked up at Michael. "Aleera killed Hannah..." She answered somberly.

"I have a feeling that Dracula will come to us," Anna answered Van Helsing. When she heard what Beatrice had said, she looked over her shoulder at the fledgling vampire.

"Monster? That's cute coming from the dog." Aleera sneered.

 

"Killed Hannah?" Michael repeated, shock clear in his voice. "But... That's... not possible."

 

"She's not dead," Van Helsing commented. "There's no way she could set fire to her body and dismember it that fast and we'd know because Edward would be going insane right now."

 

"Lycans are killed differently than vampires," Michael reminded Van Helsing.

 

"She'll need help either way." Jinx said firmly, looking at Van Helsing. "I'll go help her so Edward can follow you guys up to Dracula." she turned to a window near her that faced teh bridge and jumped out without hesitating. A moment later she'd landed at the base of the bridge and was running towards Edward, Hannah, and Aleera.

 

Edward growled and launched himself at Aleera, locking his jaws onto her right shoulder, sinking his teeth deep into her skin till they ground on bone. As the gouts of toxic blood flowed into his mouth he pushed his tongue to the roof of his mouth and exhaled, keeping any of the liquid from coursing down his throat. He tore hard at the joint in the bride's shoulder, pinning her against the edge of the stone bridge as she shrieked and tried to get away. Finally, with nasty, tearing shred of a noise, Edward ripped Aleera's shoulder off and tossed it over the edge of the bridge. He spat out the blood in his mouth, panting with his head hung for a moment.

Edward quickly spoke in Jinx's head before Aleera could recover: She broke Hannah's neck, he explained. But she's not dead but I need to get her out of here and reset her neck so she'll be okay. Can you handle Aleera? Just speak in your head and I will hear you.

 

Leave it to me. I'll take care of Hannah. Jinx answered, through thought. Just help them with Dracula before he hurts someone... she gave him a quick smile before pushing him towards teh castle and moving towards Aleera. "Age before beauty, lady, come take a swing at me." she called at the bride, to bring her attention to her.

 

Edward nodded and ran quickly over to Hannah's body.

Hannah! he shouted in her head, feeling no reaction. Please wake up! Okay... just hold on and I'll help you.

Edward stuck his nose under Hannah's torso and carefully flipped her body on his back. He bit both of her sleeves carefully in his front teeth to hold her steadt and quickly jumped toward the nearest window, inside the stairwell and away from the rain.

 

What's the matter, little Bee? Lestat laughed at Beatrice. Do you need some help, my child? You're just there with all that power in your veins; it's such a waste.

 

Aleera, clutching her shoulder, glared at Jinx, her wings flaring out.

I can handle it. Beatrice insisted.

 

Jinx just grinned at her. "What's wrong? Does your arm hurt? Poor baby..." she contuied to taunt Aleera, wanting to bride to attack her instead of visa versa. Come on, just attack me already. she thought, irratibly, under her grinning, obnoxious expression.
