OOC: why does michael have to die?!!? O.o He's an innocent little lycan!

 

Jinx stepped over to him, worry written on her face clearly now. "What's going on?" she asked quickly.

Will laughed. "Well, we'll see." he looked at the sky in silence for a few moments. "And what about you? If you are so keen on plans, what are yours?"

"Anna's brother," Van Helsing began, motioning for her to start walking with him. "He's a werewolf, and he's just been bitten recently, I think, from the way he's behaving. I've got to go after him."

"I'm better than you, apparently," Edward pointed out, letting go of her and stepping away from the bed. "I'm just going to ask what's going on. I won't leave the castle."

 

Jinx walked with him. "What about Miss Anna? She won't let you, will she? I mean he's her brother and she's lost everyone..."

 

"He's going to kill, Jinx," Van Helsing muttered, snapping apart his gun to load several more bullets. "We can't risk that, especially with the way he's behaving."

 

"What about with Edward? He's a werewolf and he doesn't kill. Can't we try and..." Jinx ran a hand through her hair nervously. "I don't know, we've all given up killing humans, why can't he be convinced? Anna might be able to get him to be stronger than his insinct."

 

"There's no way to control a werewolf like this, just days after he's been turned. Jinx, trust me..." He turned to look at her as they left the castle. "I've thought about all you've said already... we don't have a choice."

 

Jinx nodded after thinking for a few seconds. "You're right..." she gave in, reluctantly. "Do you want me to help?" she asked, unsure.

"Um," Van Helsing thought aloud. "Yes... I figured I'd need you with me so they would believe anything that happens. Plus you can help kill him if you wish."

 

"Alright, I'll do what I can." Jinx replied, looking around as they walked and scenting the air, instinctivly. "Do you know where he is or are we searching?"

 

"Not really," Van Helsing said, walking out onto the dark path and gazing around from under his hat. "But I have a feeling he's looking for us as well..."

 

Velkan lurked in the shadows and fog, behind buildings. His nose searched the air for the smell of the hunter who had driven him away from Anna.

 

Jinx caught the scent of a werewolf and turned her head in that direction. "He's that way..." she said quietly. "What's his name?" she asked, out of the blue.

 

Velkan uttered a low growl, but otherwise stayed silent and still.

 

Van Helsing turned in the direction that Jinx has showed him. "Can he hear us?" he whispered to her. "I can't see... can't smell as well as you."

 

"Probably." Jinx answered queitly, her eyes flashing around in the direction of Velkan, trying to find him. "What's his name?" she repeated.

 

"Velkan, I think," Van Helsing answered. "Her older brother, whom I know she thought was dead until tonight."

 

Edward stumbled slowly down the hall to where Carl, Anna, and Michael stood.

"What's going on?" he asked, leaning against the wall to hold himself up. "We heard a gunshot."
