"You think so?" Van Helsing asked, a little angrily. "I'm sorry for respecting life that wants to get rid of evil, Miss Valarious." He instinctively reached out a hand and placed it on Jinx's shoulder. "They aren't as bad as you think."

 

Edward ignored Lestat except for giving him a small nod. "Just... getting rid of something," he answered Beatrice, smiling weakly at her worried face. "It's done with now... you don't have to trouble yourself."

OOC: dude, thats a pippin quote... teehee!!!

 

Lestat laughed at Edward's vague response, grabbing another piece of Beatrice's hair to spin between his fingers. "Your friend Hannah's maker," he added happily. "John... he's no more."

 

"What?" Beatrice exclaimed. "But... How? I thought..." She shook her head, feeling like she'd missed much more than she should have in a couple of hours. "Are you sure you're okay, Edward?"

Michael had to smile at Beatrice's concern; she was different from Selene in that way. And many others as well. I'm surprised at how well she's handling all this.

"My wager is that they're not as innocent as you claim them to be." Anna shot back icily.

Hannah lowered her head, glaring at the ground. And my wager is you'll end up dead soon with that outlook. She stood up and paced to the trees.

"Oh, your maker hasn't told you?" Edward asked Beatrice, laughing suddenly. He stopped, coughing small drpos of blood into his hand. He ignored Lestat's shrug of no concern. "Lestat taught me how to kill John... it's just brought me a little closer to my own death than I'd like. But I'm okay," he added quickly at the horrified look on her face. "I just wanted to see if you were feeling better now that those bullets seem to be gone."

 

Lestat smiled at Michael's vague thoughts, shaking his hair out of his face. "She's stronger than any of you think," he murmured, leaning forward to rest his cheek on Beatrice's head. "Just wait... she'll even outsmart you, lycan."

 

Beatrice proudly held out her hand for Edward to see the bullets. "I'm fine. You should worry about yourself." She told him softly.

 

Michael clenched his fists. "What's that supposed to mean?"

 

Lestat smiled a little wider, both at Beatrice and Micheal. "Nothing that will not benefit you if you have the same aims and goals as the others in this group," Lestat replied smoothly. "And I thought he was the one that controlled his anger," he added in a deep whisper to Beatrice.

 

"Lestat," Edward snapped, shaking his head as his mind fogged once again. "Let him be."

 

Beatrice frowned, lowering her hand. "Sorry, Michael."

 

"There's nothing for you to apologize for," Michael sighed. You're still too innocent.

 

"I... need to lay down," Edward gasped, pushing himself back down onto the pillows of the bed next to Beatrice and Lestat, shutting his eyes and grabbing the sides of his head. He groaned, his stomach churning uneasily.

 

"Really nothing to apologize for," Lestat added in his own happy tone of voice, ignoring Edward. "And she's not that innocent," he said softly after a moment.

OOC: time to go to work agaaaain... grrr... angelyn better post soon or i will bad rep her like CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY!!! :D

 

"I know," Michael addressed Lestat now. "But do you really think she would have done that if you had not been there to coeerce her?"

 

Beatrice got off the bed and went over to Edward. "Do you need anything? Please... let me help."

 

OOC: don't bad rep me! it's not my fault! (hehe, star wars night!)

BIC: Carl went over to Edward and took his elbow to help him stand up. "The room nextdoor has a bed too, can you make it there?" he asked.

Jinx looked Anna steadily in the eye, "Why are you so sure about that?" she asked again.

 

"Ah, ladies," Van Helsing interrupted, squeezing Jinx's shoulder. "I think we need to just... drop the idea of credibility as far as the... immortals in this house are concerned. How hard can it be for you, Miss Valarious, to just focus on the task at hand?"

 

OOC: GRRRR!!! EAT MY REP POWER!!!

Edward shut his eyes tightly, unable to speak because of the nausea that suddenly attacked his stomach. He shook his head.

"Get..." he managed after a moment. "... Hannah..."

He just finished her name before he collapsed on the floor.
