BIC:Jinx looked at Micheal skepticly. "What do you mean?" she asked, puzzled.

Carl looked at the bullet and then Bee. He didn't see any blood. "How did you do that?" he asked, walking over to stand next to her.

 

"Since I was born," Anna replied.

"Cooperating?" Hannah repeated. "What do you mean?"

John hesitantly followed. "You called me here to make small talk?"

 

"I see," Van Helsing said, nodding. "And you're family I know I little about."

 

Beatrice shrugged. "I don't really know...."

 

"Oh, I thought you wouldn't mind the polite beginning of the conversation," Lestat sighed, waving his hand in the air as they reached the front doors of the castle. "But, if you insist, we can skip formality and go right to the.... how do they say it? Good stuff?"

 

Do you have him yet? Edward sent worriedly at Lestat.

 

"There's nothing much to tell," Anna replied. "My father went missing. My brother..... He was just recently killed by one of Dracula's werewolves."

John looked at Lestat. "The good stuff?"

 

"She doesn't like the idea of liquor," Michael explained.

 

"I'm sorry," Van Helsing began seriously. "Let's hope you can do what they couldn't."

 

"oh..." Jinx said, "Well, I can understand that." she couldn't help smiling slightly. "Is she saying why she won't drink it?" she asked.

Carl shook his head, smiling. "That's just amazing, Bee. But great."

 

"Inside," Lestat muttered, swinging open one of the large doors to the castle. "We can talk in here."

 

Micheal sighed. "No."

 

"I will," Anna said.

John stopped. "Do you even own this?"

 

"You don't think it's weird...?" Beatrice asked.

 

"Oh," Lestat sighed happily. "If I had a franc for everytime someone said that to me. Get inside." He put his arm around John's shoulder and pushed him through the doorway, shutting the heavy door behind them.

 

"You're library must be very old," Van Helsing began now. "Your family has collected many books."

 

"It was started by my great-grandfather." Anna said. "this used to be Dracula's home. So our books have mixed with the few that he left."

"What's going on?" John demanded.

 

“Sorry, John.â€

Lestat muttered the words into the man’s ears before he had any time to react; a quick slur, a speeding, meaningless apology. He swung his arm swiftly at the side of John’s head, the solid, stone-like bone cracking hard with his skull. The other vampire cried out, but Lestat was glad to hear the noise: he needed the man half-conscious, not dead.

“Edward,†Lestat snarled, both in his mind and aloud. "Get over here."

 

"Hannah," Edward gasped, hearing the vampire's words. "Come with me."

He grabbed her arm and turned away from the group, leading them back down the hallway they had come from to the main foyer.

 

"Edward, what the hell?" Van Helsing snapped, looking after the werewolf and Hannah. "Come on," he muttered, turning to follow them.
