Van Helsing (Cont.)

Van Helsing stopped mid-breath, his eyes widened. "You're..." he began slowly. "You're not lying, are you?"

 

"Why the hell would I lie about something that serious?" Edward snarled, trying to ignore the feeling that the moon was starting to give him... Calm, he told himself. Just stay calm... wait till tomorrow night...

 

"That's all you've been hiding?" Van Helsing asked after a moment. "All this time, if that's it, why has it taken you so long to share such a vital piece of information to the rest of us?"

 

"Yes, that's it," Edward lied smoothly, his face blank but sincere. "I guess I was just waiting for the right moment to speak to you about it, and, well... it never seemed to come."

 

"Then I apologize for telling at you, Edward," Van Helsing sighed. "This is something I've needed to know for years... well, Carl and I both. I'm sure that helps him tremendously, no?" He looked down at Carl, who had been silent so far.

 

Edward looked over at the man, too, but had to shut his eyes against another spasm that ran through his body. Dammit, tomorrow night, he kept repeating to himself in his head. Not now...

 

Hannah clenched her jaw. "You two are the weirdest of this group."

Hannah sighed. "Edward, will you walk with me? I want to go outside."

Beatrice sat on one of the beds, carefully thinking over what Lestat had said to her that morning. Absentmindedly, she played with her waving, blond hair. Seems both of my 'fathers' aren't the best for me. But I do feel like I can trust Lestat more than my father. He... Well, I think he cares for me more than my real father.

 

OOC: sorry i haven't been on. XD stuff and stuff happening. BUT i be back. OH YEAH and i bought The Host today. ^^

BIC: Jinx had been listening to them talk but part of her thoughts had also been on what Hannah had asked her. "Hannah, before you go outside, can I talk to you?" she asked, before they left.

Carl nodded in answer to Van Helsing. "Yes, it does help."

 

Hannah cringed and looked at Jinx. "Fine."

OOC: u have no imagination :P lol, jk, i really like it so far actully. it's cooolio! of course i would love to see Edward in it but that would kinda kill it. XD

BIC: Jinx walked into the other room, and turned to look at Hannah. "Hannah..." she started, "I was thinking about what you asked me... and I actully think that you need an answer, if you still want one. I know you don't really like talking to me, but still..."

 

Hannah's anger at Edward and Van Helsing moved to the back of her mind. "Right... I'm sorry. It was out of place for me to ask. I just... I don't want to be the only one who's done it without wanting to."

OOC: jamie's innocence makes me keep reading. but where there's innocence, there's loss of innocence and that will make the book boring again Dx

 

OOC: SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i'm not very far yet! :P

BIC: JInx shook her head. "No, it's fine for you to ask." she answered. "And no, you aren't the only one to kill someone when you didn't really want to."

 

OOC: cool! i'm ahead of you in a book for once!! XD

BIC: Hannah folded her arms. "Oh, okay. My... my dreams are still... bad."

 

OOC; haha, for once! what page are u on? :D

BIC: "Yeah... but how old are you now? 6, 7 months? It should get better soon." Jinx tried to be reassuring. "And honestly, the less you dwell on something the less your mind will remember it. That's why I don't remember many of the human... faces..." she trailed off.

BIC: Hannah cracked a grimace. "Yeah... well, thanks."

 

OOC: I will try and get there soon! XD

BIC: Jinx sighed. "Sorry... I'm not very much of a help." she smiled back, a little. "But you don't have to worry about being the only one to do that without exactly wanting to, at least."

 

"Well..." Van Helsing sighed, trying to give Carl a nice smile. "What shall we talk about now? Carl must have something to share after all those hours alone in a carriage."

"With all due respect, Carl," Edward began. "I think Hannah needs me and that's going to take priority."
