"True," Van Helsing said with a final shrug. "I can't add anymore to that."

 

Edward shrugged as well, shutting his eyes against Anna's angry gaze.

 

Anna ignored the others, turning her attention to Hannah. "You behave enough like a pet to be called one."

"Edward, let go of me. I want to tear that head of hers off her shoulders." Hannah snarled.

Beatrice stubbornly shook her head again.

Michael sighed. We're negotiating with a sixteen year old girl. This is going to go nowhere.

Jinx put a hand to her forehead at Hannah's words. Great!That totally makes us seem innocent...

Carl tapped his finger on the bed side. "Bee..." he started again, trying another tactic. "If you don't drink it, I'm going to have to take the bullets out with you totally awake and able to feel it."

 

"I'd be cautious what you say around that one," Van Helsing warned, nodding his head toward Hannah. "She will do what she says."

 

Edward tightened his grip on Hannah's shoulders, his nails digging through her shirt. "Shh," he whispered in her ear, kissing her neck lightly. "Let it go; you know she's not worth it."

 

Stay calm, little one, Lestat soothed to Beatrice lightly, his feet barely touching the ground now as he flotaed easily through the forest. The light of the sun was just over the treeline now, the dark, amber glow reflecting off his bronze hair. Let the mortals do what they must; you'll be better once I see you tonight, I promise.

 

Thinking about Carl's words, Beatrice cringed back into the pillow. She bit her lip against the pain and turned her head away from Carl.

"Beatrice," Michael started thoughtfully. "Do you really want to leave the bullets in?"

"No," Beatrice murmured in reply.

"Then why won't you let us help you?" Michael asked.

Beatrice pursed her lips, giving no answer. She wasn't about to admit that she was scared.

Anna's hand gripped the handle of her gun. "Let her try."

Hannah kept her glare on Anna. "Not worth it, but she really does deserve it."

 

"How about not trying anything except getting along?" Van Helsing said quickly. "We need to focus on our main goal, not petty differences and stupid reasons to hate each other."

 

"He's actually right," Edward muttered to Hannah, and then looked around at everyone. "He is."

 

Jinx nodded, agreeing with them. "So, when is it that we are planning to go kill Dracula?" she asked, quickly.

Carl was quiet for a while, letting her think. finally he spoke up again. "Alright, Bee. Since you don't like our idea, what would you like to do?" he asked, gently, knowing that the pain was still getting to her.

 

"Once we figure out how to deal with this mirror and whatever it may have to do with locations," Van Helsing responded.

 

OOC: Lestat...? ='(

BIC: "All we have to do is get what we need and go through," Anna said to Van Helsing. She was trying to ignore Hannah, but her hand was still ready on her gun.

With difficulty, Hannah brought herself to calm down. Next time she doesn't get a warning. She thought bitterly.

 

"Nothing," Beatrice answered, her voice squeaking unintentionally.

 

"We have to do something," Michael said. "You'll only hurt more if we do nothing." He paused as an idea came to him. "Carl, can I speak with you outside for a moment?"

 

Carl nodded, "Alright." he looked at Beatrice and sighed before following Micheal out the door, closing it behind them.

"Ah, good!" Jinx said, glad to hear it wouldn't be something that took even more time. The sooner we leave this place the better.

 

"Ah, I see," Van Helsing laughed at Anna sarcastically. "I already know that, dear. I just don't know if everyone is prepared to leave yet or not. That is a concern as well."

 

Edward nodded reluctantly, keeping his eyes away from Van Helsing. "I don't think we're all ready to jump through that mirror thing right now, either."

Concentrate, little Bee, Lestat sent at Beatrice, a grin on his face now when he could feel her growing strength. Can you feel the power in your veins? Sit up... let the pain and weakness leave your body... remember the fresh blood inside you... can you feel the lead lodged in your skin? Force it out; push it away from you. Impress those two idiots outside the door. Let them come back in and see two bullets in your palm and a smile on your face. You can do it.

"We're waiting for Bee," Hannah murmured, still a bit edgy.

"Why take them?" Anna asked heatedly.

"We should just let her rest a bit more," Michael said. "If she can sleep, and escape the pain for a while, she might be able to make a clearer choice."

Beatrice squeezed her eyes shut. She focused on the bullets, using Lestat's words as encouragement. She felt a slight pain as the bullets pushed themselves out.
