At the very earliest, this RP will be started tomorrow afternoon. But that will require my co-leader, Kagiya, to start off the RP if I request her to.

As you can see, there are still some people who've yet to make the edits to their bios like I've asked them to, so that may cause a small delay since I wouldn't wanna prematurely cut out people. As well, my final tomorrow is at 7PM EST, so although I *can* ask Kagiya if she could start the RP tomorrow afternoon, but if that doesn't work out, Thursday or Friday will be more appropriate.

This is why it's important to get your bios in and edited as quickly as possible. I'm somewhat amused that some people posted their bios and haven't checked this thread once since then (since they haven't made their edits XD).

I have my hands full with a final to study for tomorrow, but if you want to go ahead and do that, that's fine with me.

However, I really think it's their responsibility to keep up to date with what's going on. I'm not much of a believer in chasing after people if they're the ones who wanted to participate. o.o

Hi sorry I haven't been around Kh-vids lately, but when I saw this thread I almost fell out of my chair in shock it is without doubt the most complex thread to hit this forum in a long time. I will be happy to join but I am still working on my profile.

All you need to know is that Aelthir and his supporters have already begun their movement to take Valdeaunia.

Either myself or Kagiya will make the first post of the RP, which will set Aelthir's journey in motion. It will be brief since for the most part, everyone's role in this RP is one of their choosing. How and when you encounter Aelthir for the first time is completely up to you as well.

Tomorrow I'll post the guidelines regarding how to control story characters, as well as how to write your first encounter with Aelthir (there's a small requirement for that post alone) then if it's possible to start the RP, we will.

Just bear in mind that my final tomorrow is at 7PM EST and won't end till 9PM at the latest, so I probably won't be getting home until well after 10PM tomorrow night. This might be optimal for some people who live in certain time zones (like Jade) if the first post arrives around that time.

Just keep a look out tomorrow for a starting post. If not tomorrow, Thursday for sure.

    Name: Alish Coronason
    Age: 19
Appearance: Alish has black-blue hair and stands about 6'0 tall. His raven locks are very straight and he pulls his hair back. His skin is bronzed naturally and his eyes are a soft chocolate brown. He has a scar on his chin from a cut in sword battle, and wears black hardened leather plate mail with ringlets on it. His two swords that are not the best in the world hang from his back in an X and he has a wakazashi type blade on his hip and a knife in his boot for survival purposes. He dons black pants and boots as well that are buckled steady for his active lifestyle and have good treads for running and swift maneuvers.
Magic: Level 3: Water and Wind
Job/Class: Knight - works as an aspiring Knight.
Noble/Citizen: Citizen - though his father is a Noble somewhere and he knows of it.
District: Currently Estavel, though he has lived much of his life in Mhaura and sometimes is sent down there to get some criminals.
    Alignment: Good
    History:
Background: Being a Knight was an honorable thing and something Alish took with great seriousness. He had been born into poverty due to having a neglectful father who was a noble that had a child out of wedlock. The father enjoyed living his life to the fullest in Estavel though he had his dwelling in Verdest, while seemingly forgetting or not knowing he had a young male that grew up to look a lot like him, despite his hair color being a deep shade of blue black and skin that was darker to resemble his exotic mother's side. The boy grew up in Mhaura until he reached his young teens. Having been the half sibling to three others, he left home to make it on his own to let his mother lose some of the burden of having to feed them all.

For at time he roamed and attempted to avoid fighting, but it was a difficult thing to do in Mhaura and he had a bit of a tude. After getting his rear handed to him by some older teens and left in an alley, a drunk man approached him and poured whiskey over the boy's head, telling him that if he wanted to be something, he had to learn something. Alish was unsure what a silly old drunkard could instruct him in, but soon he would find out. The man took him to his shack and there, he offered the boy a chance at life, saying at one time he reminded him of himself. Taking the kid out to the cemetary, where no one really wanted to be, the man taught Alish the way of the sword and to two hand fight. He said that he used to be a Knight before times fell to corruption and that perhaps if Alish were to learn well, he could too take up such a trade and leave this place. He told him of Theranraila Eyllanlith and said it might be best to approach this person and to support his cause in Estavel.

Alish trained further and was given a job where he would help with bringing fish in off the docks. He became stronger by this hard labor and also it was to save up money in attempts to purchase clothes that would be befitting someone going to try out for the military. He had no idea if he would ever meet this person the old man wanted him to, but in the end, it did not matter such. He had given the boy a new thing to do and it would fill a gap in his existence if he could be accepted. After a good year of working for not much at all, as was the way in the area he lived, Alish was booted out by the old guy and told to go do something with his life and to stop living off of him...even though he had given him money to help pay his way. It was quite possible the old man was demented. But Alish was grateful and so took off to Estavel. He purchased new clothing that was nothing great to look at, but was a bargain in Estavel. At 17, he would enter the Vadeaunia Academy and train hard. With his strained life, he was more than prepared to do what he needed to get the job done. He also was noted to have a sound magical talent and so trained until he became a Level 3 with the use of the elements of Wind and Water. The Academy at first was going to place him in the Militia, but determined him strong enough to be with the Knights by the fact he certainly had a head start on some others. When they found him to be of Noble blood, and his father admitted to siring him, he was accepted much easier into the Knights who wanted nearly all of them to be of noble blood line. This somewhat annoyed Alish, who felt he should have been able to make such a thing on merit and skill alone, but others kept reminding him to just count his blessings for he was going to do much better off now. Turning 19 now, Alish had done the duty of a Knight, though nothing so glorious yet, for about 6 months after the long nearly 2 years of training.

Personality: Talented with the blade more than magic, and still now and then having a tude, but with the skill to back it, Alish is still yet an alright individual. He's not the friendliest guy in the city but if he does become a friend he is there till the end. He is somewhat cynical, jaded and sarcastic by nature, but never outright cruel or intentionally malicious. He sometimes gets stationed at the noble side of the city and wanders the others in search of criminals as ordered and tries to do well in his Knighthood chosen occupation. He does now and then ponder if the old Knight gave up his job for a bottle simply because he could not lie to himself anymore and say that he served a more noble purpose than others. Alish aspired in himself to see a return to the former glory and yet a better future for as it was now, things really stunk.

Demo Post: The sound of boots hitting against pavement was heard when not much else was after the early morning rain. Most people were either asleep or feigning rest to avoid being out in the rough neighborhood Alish was now treading into. He knew where to go though for the man he was seeking. He placed his hand in his pocket, rolling over a crumpled paper as he recalled what the contents said. The man he was seeking was tall, of slim build, a yellowish complexion as if he had drank way too much rum in his lifetime and made his liver want to shorten his existence dramatically. However, sadly for Albert, it was not doing the job quick enough, and the nobility wanted him arrested for a serious gambling charge.

As Alish approached a bar, voices were murmuring within, almost as though they knew something was up. He pushed open the door and it creaked as he entered. Glancing from side to side with his eyes while not moving his head, he strolled in and there was his prey. Drunk out of his mind, half-asleep in a chair that was leaning over against the wall, sat Albert, drinking the money away he had stolen possibly from some young male noble who felt he was made too inebriated himself to think clearly at the time. The law was the law though, even if Alish could care less of such trivial things. He went over and poked the man in the shoulder and after getting a look of 'huh' with glazed over eyes, he simply scooped up the man and put him over his shoulder. Others were already eying him suspiciously and he wanted no trouble. He turned and walked out with a confidence that made some mischievous sorts remain seated and he took off, back to the prison guards, turning the man in. It was jobs like this that made him wonder why he was a Knight. Where was the honor...let alone some excitement? He supposed he'd someday find out.

    - Hope this is still where we can post these.

    Name: Warren Garensfallow
    Age: 23
Appearance: 5’11â€, muscular, short brown hair, hazel eyes,
Magick Ability: Level 3 Favors Earth though can perform moderate in fire magicks
Job Class: Knight, Light armor, Primary weapon Morning Star, Secondary short sword.
    Status: Noble
    District: Verlest
    Alignment: Good

Background/Personality: Warren grew up the youngest child the Garensfallow family which followed the tradition of becoming Scholars, though when it soon became clear to his father that Warren had no interest of spending his life studying the secrets of the dusty tomes, he distanced himself from the boy. Warren always felt like an outsider in his family and was intellectually bullied by his older siblings who disliked him as much as their father. At first Warren thought he could impress his father by learning Magick but even though he had greater potential than some of his other brothers his deeds were never recognized despite the many hours of practice he had spent developing his skills. The only member of the family he found solace with was his mother, who told Warren wonderful stories about the deeds of the Knights of Valdeaunia in the past wars. Before long Warren eagerly watched out his window as militia walked by on their patrols and held in awe the knights who were stationed around Verlest.

At the age of 14 his mother died of an illness and left Warren torn though he pledged that he would become a great knight to honor her memory. He had never faced a hardship like loss in his sheltered life and did not know exactly how to cope. The rift between Warren and his father seemed to increase without his mother though he granted him a final favor by letting him join the Vadeaunia Academy. Although he was outclassed in fighting ability and endurance he bested many in his fights though his quick reaction time, reading his opponents movements, as well as his ability to keep calm in a fight. After graduating the Academy he was distraught when he found how corrupt certain parts of the guard were. Higher- level nobles turning a blind eye to the plight of the poor and the occasional Militia-man taking the bribe of a group of thieves. Naturally Warren’s strong moral views have created himself quite a few enemies both within the order and on the streets. Due to his visions of reform he has often been discredited and has been assigned to patrol the most dangerous areas of the city with the Militia. They figure he will die sooner or later on his own accord rather than disrespecting his family and removing him of his position.

Demo Post: Warren stood immobile by the corner of the bazaar feeling weary from a long day of supervising the bustling streets. The closest thing he had seen to conflict the entire day was an old beggar woman being pushed roughly in the streets and a young boy who had been accused of stealing food. Now that the sun had fallen low in the sky and night was close to breaking he would soon be relieved of his duty as the shops began to close for the evening.

As he trundled sleepily through the streets navigating through the city until he came to the guardhouse where he was staying that night. Many times Warren was criticized for helping the militia who others thought were underclass. But he found that despite their lack of proper training they made up for it by knowing the town better and how to react to certain situations that the knights almost never encountered in their hours of drilling. He put his hand on the door slowly pushing it inward. He was greeted by a few of his patrol that were resting by the fire. He clumsily unbuckled his weapons belt and pulled off his armor, then positioned himself on his cot. He was tired of this city he knew it had the potential to be a marvelous place but how could there be any improvement if there was no one willing to make change.

Bio's fine, just a small note on your Magick element. As much as I would've liked to include other 'elements' like Ice, Lightning, Dark, Light, etc, I didn't want magick to be a collosal part of the game's mechanics and thus kept it isolated to the four traditional ones; Fire, Wind, Water, Earth. To stay uniform with this, your 'Ice' element will have to be changed. For the most part, Ice is pretty much a manipulation of water, so changing Alish to having Water affinity might still suit your purposes. And since nobles usually are able to manipulate two of the four elements, if you wanted to justify Ice magick, it could be a combination between Water and Wind mastery (however, at its core, it's still primarily Water manipulation).

If you can change your magick ability to one (or two) of the four elements I outlined, that'd be great and your bio will be ready to go. The moment you edit your magick to one (or two) of the elements I've prescribed, consider yourself approved and begin posting (if I give my co-leader to 'okay' to begin the RP without me while I'm at my exam).

    darkriku: Approved.

    ---------------------

Finally, some Knights. I was almost going to remake my character (as unwilling as I was) into a Knight if none were going to show up.

Soush if you want more knights, I will change my Bio and stuff around to put a little more diversity in the character line up since we have like 10 Assassins.

Haha, it's really up to you. As much as I want diversity, I don't want people changing characters if they're not going to enjoy them. If you feel you can have just as much fun RP'ing as a Knight (or any of the other neglected job classes like Merchant, Scholar or Blacksmith) then by all means go for it. But don't feel pressured to try to make the RP more diverse if you're just gonna get uninterested and drop out after 2 posts since that's just worse.

    Assuming much? XD
I'm on (optimally) from about 3:30 PM EST to 6:00 PM EST, give or take a few minutes. Then maybe half an hour to two hours between 7 and 10. Once break starts and I'm on vacation, I might be able to make that a little more flexible.

My mistake then. For some reason, I tended to see you online a lot after 10PM EST my time, so I thought EST evenings were fine. Maybe I'm mistaken about that too.

Anyway, about 6 1/2 hours until I'm done the the fall term. Off to studying again, I go.

I think he means "10 to 9" as in 8:50PM. Therefore he's worried maybe perhaps it'll be far too late where he is when the RP gets started (assuming it starts today).
