Utimate War:Light VS. Darkness

Ai sat on a high branch. A squirel came down to sit near her. "Go away." She waved her hand in its direction. The squirel chittered but did not leave. "Annoying thing." Ai moved to a different branch. She adjusted herself so that she could sleep. "Another night alone." She closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.

 

*the next day*
Zen woke up.he looked around and walked back to the doctor's house.Karei?are you awake?Zen said as he looked around the house.he went to the next room where he found the dead body of the doctor.Big Brother?Karei saidI'm hiding under the sink.Zen found his sister.What happened here?he said. Coeurls came and attacked the doctor.Karei said.Lets go.Zen said.they left to the forest an found Ai.

 

Ai rolled over in her sleep. "OW!" She hit the ground. "My butt....Oh!" She looked up at Zen and a girl. "Am I supposed to leave now?" She asked picking up her pack and standing up. She dusted off her pants.

 

No.i need you to take care of my younger sister Karei.Zen said.And i have to go see the Coeurl King. Zen left to see the Coeurl King.Hello my name is Karei.She said.

 

"Yay, babysitting." Ai glared at him as he left. "Don't expect anything out of me." She told Karei as she looked her up and down. "You're kinda short. How old are you?"

 

I'm 15.She saidHow old are you?

 

"Sixteen." Ai glanced in the direction that Zen had left. "What's up with him? We just met last night and he dumps you on me? Your brother is strange."

 

We've been through very horrible things in our lifetime.She said quietly"its been especially hard on him."

 

"Hasn't everyone? Geez, get over it." Ai had no pity for anyone who was weak. If you can't make it on you're own, why exist? She looked back at Karei and saw the sadness in her eyes. "What? Life's not all candy and rainbows. You've got to learn to fight for yourself.....like I did."

 

Karei looked at Ai.In the position i am right now...i could break your neck and kill you... so dont you ever think that im weak.Karie said.

 

"I don't think you want to engage in battle with me." Ai gave Karei a cold stare. "I've killed all who battle with me."

 

You must NEVER underestimate me!Karei saidif you were to fight me then you'd die or at LEAST never recover.Bolt Draco!Karie's eyes turned red as her body changes into a large yellow Dragon.her voice changed dramatically.I can take the form of any animal ive ever seen so your out of luck if you want to kill me.Karie said as she turned back to normal.But still,i do not wish to fight you...

 

"Good," Ai dismissed the dragon transformation. "And yes, I could kill you. No matter what form you take. Just don't get me angry. I can't control myself when I'm angry." Ai shut her mouth. She had said too much.

 

ok,but,do you want to hear my story?its all me and Zen have been through.Karei said.

 

"Fine." Ai sat back down. This might take awhile...

 

Nova heard some talking in the distance.

 

Ok.Karei said sitting down on a stump.Our parents were extremely neglectful.they never even fed us.if we said anything they would beat us.even when we were babies...when i was three and he has four we ran away from home and came to live in a forest with the animals.as time went on,Zen lost all trust in humanity and began to hate humans.we could have died in that forest if the animals didn't take us in.they were the only ones that were kind to us.we soon were able to communicate with them.i developed the ability to transform into animals and Zen could call them for help whenever we needed it.ever since then we've been living in the forest in a southern peninsula know as the Devil's Tail...until the humans who lived nearby burned the forest down and killed the animals we called out family...we were able to escape to this place but its only a matter of time until we lose everything once again...

 

Nova listened carefully.

 

"Oh..." Their story actually made Ai's heart hurt. "That's close to mine..." She looked at Karei again. "But it's nothing you need to know about." Ai's heart had hardened again.

 

Nova went on a tree and listened overhead.
