I've only recently started listening to her music (excluding the KH themes) and I absolutely love her voice. My favourite one of hers (which I heard from the KHV MEP) was Kremlin Dusk which I have listened to a lot.

I always preferred Sanctuary as it just makes me happy inside and reminds me of when I first got KH. Simple and Clean was good but I just found Santuary much more pleasant to listen to.

Could you add a bit more to your post?

Anyhow, I like Utada's songs for the most part. But her English album felt terrible, and really just kind of "eh". But my favorite songs are the ones she sings for Kingdom Hearts, Be My Last, and Kremlin Dusk.

Those ones are pretty good. I didn't like a lot of the songs on Exodus. The only ones i liked on it were Exodus '04, Kremlin Dusk, and Let Me Give You My Love. (If you've heard the last one i mentioned before, you'll understand why:))

But i like how her Japanese is easy to understand, cause she's got that American Accent. (She is Japanese-American)

I think her music is absolutely amazing.
I managed to get a copy of Ultra Blue off of eBay. I could seriously replay that album over and over again for days.
For the most part, I tend to like her stuff on Kingdom Hearts the most.

    "I hear I was Ansem"

I bet this is just about how many damn people turned out to be a version of "Ansem"
    Ansem the Wise.
    Ansem, Seeker of Darkness
Xehanort (Later became Ansem SoD )
    Terra
    Riku

Otherwise, very strange how most of it does sound to relate to Kingdom Hearts. Knowing Nomura, he likely chose this song for this reason/got them to make it like this for this reason, if they recorded it especially for Kingdom Hearts. lolidunno

most of her songs I don't mind, english or japanese. English is good, but japanese just has the better "feel" to it, if you guys know what I mean. Right now I have to say Simple and Clean or Kremlin Dusk is my favorite

I agree with this. Japanese, though i can't actually understand it, does for some reason appeal more to me.

Which one? If you are talking about her first English album then i have to agree. Some songs are really bad.
This is The One on the other hand has some really good songs.

I'm pretty sure he means Exodus. I have that one, and many of the songs are very meh... I like the Japanese ones better because they have more flare to them.

well, a lot of songs sound like they have more flare when they're sung in the language where the singer came from. I don't know why, but no matter who it is, it just sounds better when it's in the language from where the singer is from

    Utada All Day

    I have her
    Exodus
    This Is The One
    Deep River
    Ultra Blue

I don't really like Cubic U its not really that great.(That was the very first English one.) But I love Utada so much its not even funny. Its fits perfect with the game. It just sucks that they have the same songs for the different games. BBS has simple and Clean, but I understand since its the beginning, still I mean choose a different song.

Like off her Exodus album there's the songs About Me, Kremlin Dusk that could have been used as openings. Not to say The Workout, Opening, Crossover Interlude, Wonder Bout, Tippy Toe, Devil Inside, Let Me Give You My Love, Animato, and Hotel Lobby aren't outstanding songs, but it wouldn't have fit well as openings or endings.

Its because of Kingdom Hearts I wanted to know who she was, that and looking up her songs YouTube.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Utada born and raised in New York?

I have to agree with others, her Japanese releases are far better than the English. I fear that, with the English releases, she was trying a bit too hard to adapt to the American style, and lost a lot of what made her music so interesting.

My favorites would have to be Kremlin Dusk, Distance (M-flo Remix), Beautiful World, HAYATOCHI (Remix), and Keep Tryin'.

Yes, she was born in New York City, New York.

Quick fun facts: Her name is Hikaru Utada (Last name is Utada), and she is also known as Utada, Hikki, and Cubic U.

I must agree with you Misty, i do find her Japanese albums to be more musically fulfilling. My all time favorite song is "Beautiful World", but i also adore "A.S.A.P." and "Uso Mitai na I Love You".

I remember listening to a few of her songs. I think Colors, Blue, and some other were some of my favorites. They could get stuck in your head for days. Especially Sakura Drop. Still kind of stuck to this day.

Yeah I like her music too. The Japanase musics are better than the English. I like "I love you", "When someone's wishes come true", and of course, "Sanctuary/Passion" and "Simple and Clean/Hikari". Those lasts 2/4 are my favorites.

Anyway I like "Hikari" and "Passion" in their original language but I also like the Spanish versions of them too because the lyrics are better and more close to the Japanese lyrics then the English version.
Also, I like this song from her :D
