Utada Hikaru

If you like Kingdom Hearts, shhouldnt you like Utada? By all means, I do. Love her music! Its amazing. It also always fits in KH's story line so, I love it more!!

I really enjoy the music. Simple and Clean is still my favorite from her

I like Sanctuary/Passion. My two favos of course. I do like Simple and Clean too. Its an original favorite for me.

 

I love Utada Hikaru, shes the best. I listen to alot of her songs, even ones not made for kh. My fave is Sanctuary/Passion, but i love Traveling, Kettobase, and Goodbye Happiness, and Prisoner of love.

 

Listening to Santuary is nostalgic for me, not so much Passion or Simple and clean. I love it as it was so powerful when I first heard it and now it has even more meaning after I've played the games a lot. Also, with sanctuary I enjoy listennig to it backwards as it actually has more relevance to Kingdom hearts, it's old news but you should listen to it- everytime I listen I have to acknowledge how extrememly talented Utada Hikaru is to make a song that is also a song when played backwards.

Anyway, i used to be a big fan of her music but now i just like her. She has some interesting and very good songs, but i guess songs like "Easy Breezy" or "You make me want to be a man", aren't much my cup of tea anymore XD

It's sad that she won't be doing any other KH songs though.

 

To truely be honest, I've only listened to Simple and Clean, Passion, Hikari, Sanctuary, and Final Distance. I've really never thought of hearing anything else from her. But she has a beautiful voice and I'm jealous of it.

I probably should consider listening to more of her songs...

It is very clever and you may not be able to hear the words properly forming at first but after a while it's all you can hear. Incredibly clever.

 

"I need more affection than you know" is what I can hear the clearest.

 

Wow, that's pretty crazy. Makes you wonder was the real intentions behind the song were. ._.

 

I love Utada Hikaru, she's one of those artists where I would actually buy her albums. Ya know how usually there's like one or 2 songs you like on an album so you don't bother buying it? Well not with her. My favorite album is Ultra Blue every song on it is flawless. I love her voice, it's so unique.

 

Yeah..., this is quite crazy huh? I mean, that song wasn't made in particular for Kingdom Hearts right? Or was it? Because there is this complete version with her video clip, which has a small part that doesn't exist in any of the KH soundtracks and versions.

The line "I need more affection than you know" is somewhat scary but i guess along with the rest of the backward lyrics it kind of expresses the way Nobodies feel.

 

I like Utada Hikaru's music, but I only listen to her English songs because I cannot understand Japanese. I need to buy her Exodus album.

 

I totally agree. And with some help from my friend, I been able to my hand on some of her albums. And there is not one song from her that I dislike. I love them all!

Anyway as i was watching this again i realized that the place at which she sings in, looks a lot like the castle Oblivion and when it dissolves there are parts that look a lot like those things that hit you when you try to beat the core before the battle against Xemnas. Not to mention that her outfit looks like Xemnas's Zebra Form and that those girls look like the Dancer Nobodies.

 

Utada is pretty amazing.

Out of Simple and Clean and Sanctuary, I think I liked Simple and Clean just a tad better.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but she also did all of the music for the worlds, including the normal battles and boss battles music.

 

Actually, that was the composer Yoko Shimomura.
Utada just did the themes, Shimomura made all the other music. o;

Anyway, I pretty much loved Sanctuary and Simple and Clean, though I have listened to some of the other songs on her CD.
I didn't really get into them too much, but I really like Kremlin Dusk a lot.

 

Derp, I should have known that, especially considering I constantly see Yoko's name when listening to the soundtracks.

Anyway, I must really be outdated, because I always thought that Simple and Clean and Sanctuary were her only songs.

I'll have to listen to some of her other songs sometime.
