It's because men are more willing to take risks, and so end up dying more often. I'm surprised it hasn't already happened either.

That seems kind of sexist, but at the same time, it doesn't.

The way I see this, women are becoming more equal to men.
Just like Obama was a milestone in black politics, women still have a ways to go, but it seems America is getting slightly closer to equality for both sexes.

Does this mean a 'Menist' movement will be formed?
I wouldn't really care that much, as long as we treat each other equally, I don't care who has more numbers.

This is what happens in a More Developed Country. Women receive more education and therefore gain equal or slightly more superior status. It's not a bad thing. It's just different.

Superior's not really the word for it.
Like minorities in politics. They have the same equality, but yet Whites still get the higher positions.

I'm not referring to race I'm referring to gender. Nowhere in the near future is their going to be equality with race. People had an issue with African Americans 40 years ago and they have an even larger issue with Latinos and Muslims right now.

Definitely nowhere in the near future

I know what you meant, I was making a comparison.
Just because Obama became president doesn't mean black politics is over. It doesn't make black people superior nor any more equal than they were before.
It's the same thing for gender.

A milestone, hardly. Women have the same rights as men. To me there is no race, or gender, just people. I believe all people should be given the same rights as anyone. This doesn't really mean anything, to me anyways. And as Guy Garcia mentioned that "Women are the dominant gender" is bogus, there is no dominant gender just less procrastination and less procrastination would be the true milestone if anything in this country.

That's not exactly the best comparison considering that gender discrimination is less prominent than racial discrimination. And just to be clear I don't believe that anyone is or can be superior to anyone.

And actually Obama's presidency is a sign of a change in racial equality. It's not the fact that a lot of African Americans voted, white people voted too. Which displayed a change of what people think about other races (probably because African Americans have been apart of the U.S. since before the revolution.)

Although, I'm not saying that it's perfect. Everyone is racist in some way or another. So that's a set back. At least maybe there's a way of overcoming that. Really it just takes time. If we give it 20 years (until all of the people from the 1950's and below die because that's really that last group of people that witnessed or were taught racism openly) and a lot of this will teeter off.

Of course new problems will form, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Actually being a male, i know first hand that women are the dominant gender. its simple because men are willing to do anything for women(we all know why) and also men are considered less equal because i have noticed its ok to show a nude male on tv but when its a female the femi-nazis appear and demand it is taken off so really who has more power here?

That's called chivalry, and not only do not all men practice it, but more and more women nowadays don't expect it, and even more don't even want it.

Grammatically makes no sense. Just pointing that out.

... First of all, nudity isn't allowed on national TV or basic cable in America in general. Second of all, I see semi-nude men and semi-nude women in television programs all the time, an equal amount of the time.

Even if you were right on any of those points, you didn't show any political points or any remotely strong social points, so your argument is pretty much null.

1.chivalry is dead,2.i typed to fast i meant to say less than equal,3.it used to be at times but look at the older cartoon network shows. they show nude males(from behind) but i NEVER saw one female explain to me how that is equal. you may think im just some pitiful child whos hormones are in a fury but that isnt true its the principle of the matter,4. i really really dont feel like digging for info on this topic besides i thought virtually all guys atleast knew this.

Are you saying there is no such thing as nude females on TV?
