No Thanks Upload fonts?

i was thinking of a way to maybe upload fonts for use on the entire site, that way, if someone finds a really cool font, ( i have the actual The World That Never Was font) they could upload it for site use. of course if people just upload fonts all the time, it could take up too much space. so maybe Mods and Admins can regulate font use. You think it could work?

 

I think they just added some. The Admins or someone will add some new fonts every so often.

 

Nah, I know you said the mods/admins could regulate it, but I can imagine an idea like this getting out of control .. O.O

It could work if people suggest an awesome font and they could add that to the list.

But... meh.

Besides, I think the staff have enough on their plates.. >.>

 

Uhh, yeah. No. Imagine the kind of things we would get -- huge, unreadable things like the Kingdom Hearts font or Wingdings or something. I don't mean to immediately be against this or anything, but it just wouldn't be a smart idea. not to mention the fact that it's probably not possible.

I like the fonts we have, but it is a good idea to maybe add another. But we would have to request it to be added instead of uploading right?

 

I repeat what I said earlier: it's not possible. Besides, even if it were, people who don't have the font on their computer couldn't see it.

Fonts that are added will be decided on by the staff, as Misty stated not everyone has the same fonts so we have to think about the ones we do upload.

It is a nice idea <3 and the TWEWY font is the sex, but we will have to say no to users uploading fonts.​

Some new fonts

I would like to suggest some new fonts. The fonts we have right now are the basis fonts(Ariel, Times New Roman, Verdana, Century Gothic, etc.), but I used some rather cool fonts on Ms Word that would be cool to use on this site as well!

The staff will update the forum with a new font every now and then, but add on too many and it just gets hectic. if everyone got to suggest fonts they wanted can you imagine how haphazard it would be?

Sure, new fonts would be great.

But the mods and admins, the staff in general, have so much to do. They ban trolls all the time, they are always updating and improving, they're planning on more important things to come.

This is like asking for more smilies. It failed, it was shot down by a huge gun and fell into the dust, then exploded and thrown in the recycling bin to maybe be suggested again, and the thing would repeat.

Plus, like the smilies, not many people type in font.

Very few people actually use fonts. Adding any more would be pointless since they'll just sit there.

 

Agreed. If new fonts were added, people would after a little while forget that they were even there. I'm quite satisified with the fonts we currently have, which peope don't use much anyway.
It would be sort of interesting to have some new fonts, but I don't think it would be worth it.

 

I agree. New fonts just take up unneeded space... i like the ones we have and I think they're just fine.
