[UPDATED WEEKLY] Monster of the Week

Xengla's attack hit a few Hoplites and destroy them, reducing them to shields as well. Starrk on the other hand, managed to take out a good handful of Hoplites still protecting Phalanx and manage to hit Phalanx slightly as well. With only 23 Hoplites left, Phalanx had the remainder return to protect him. The few that where already on him and survived the multiple attacks had started launching spears again. A few where thrown at Starrk while he was in mid-air and the rest where launched at Genservant.

OOC: And if you've imagined coming in from the other side, then you'll need to put it into your posts. I'm not able to read your mind xD

 

Kyle saw the spears coming at him and grabbed both of his katana and crossed them to block the first spear that came at him, he jumped to avoid the second spear and deflected a third spear with the katana in his left hand and then landed back on the ground. He looked around at the others fighting it. "1,2,3,4,5,6......hmmm.......I'm not up for usign lightning today so lets go with fire..." he thought as another spear was directed straight at his face....Kyle took in a breath and then let out breath of black fire that regardless of colour let off a bright light. The Spear burnt to ash and 4 of the hoplite's were burnt alive while 2 of the hoplites he intended to burn hadn't burnt.He grabbed both of his katana just below the hilt and ran and jumped onto one of the Hoplite's and it used it's shield in order deflect him in which he used this momentum to send him into the air and with another breath of black fire got rid of it and the hoplite next to it, reducing them to shield. With the added momentum of that breath of fire he had landed on a wooden beam holding up the roof of the castle.

Genservant released the ball of fire, which flew directly at the Phalanx. Genservant ducked a couple of the spears, then jumped over the rest, using fire jetting from his feet to jump high enough.

 

The fire ball attack from Genservant burnt away another Hoplite leaving 22 left. On the back of Phalanx where less Hoplites where gathered Starrk's cero had missed the few Hoplites that where protecting Phalanx but managed to his the lead blob instead. The damage was twice as much as he had inflicted before, but barely enough to call it a gaping injury. Phalanx had much vitality.

 

Genservant landed, his sword now gripped with his right hand, the left had raised up, gathering fire energy, "this thing's weakness seems to be fire, so Xengla and I should make as much of that as we can, everyone else, try to get those things off of it!" he said in a commanding tone.

 

Kyle saw the others attacking it and watched their approaches from above on the little perch on the support of the roof. Starrk had been trying to get a shot at the phalanx directly by jumping over the Hoplites while Xengla and Genservant kept trying to force fire on it. Genservant was throwing a command at him but he simply replied "Don't worry and don't get so intense, if it kills you, it kills you thats it" he said with a smile. "22 left...the Phalanx is dead center...interesting..." he thought as he dropped off the wooden support of the roof and he threw both katana down on top of each other right above the Hoplite acting as protection of the phalanx and they landed on top of each other, end to end as Kyle landed on the peak of the pillar of the two katana. He flipped the second he made contact with the peak of the katana's and funnelled black flames through them as he slashed both down on top of Hoplites in an X-formation and a burst of black fire erupted along the the top of the shields of the hoplites. I assume this won't do much damaga but atleast i can blind them and make them easier to bypass" he thought as he looked at starrk who seemed to want to get straight to the phalanx. Spears Erupted and Kyle had been hit in the left shoulder, through and through, as he jumped away.

 

"This is going to hurt alot but it has to be done..." he said to himself as he grabbed the hilt of the spear and suddenly it burst into black flames and Kyle let out a blood curdling roar as he felt the metal of the spear head melt "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH" and the spear was incinerated into ashes. Kyle put his right hand over his left shoulder and impressed immense heat to evaporate the now liquid metal. I have an idea and with Starrk acting as the main distraction i can put my plan into action...." he said as he jumped out of the former stained glass window, Jumped up and stood on the roof of the castle just above the chamber the phalanx occupied. He put the sword in his left hand on a clip on his cargo pants. With the other katana he funnelled his black fire into two slashes in the shape of an X to open the roof just above the Phalanx. He could see it and the black fire had faded as fast as it started atop their shields. "Just keep them distraced Starrk..." he said as he focused black fire into the palms of his right hand and fires it into the atmosphere, along with breathing a huge burst of black fire from his mouth.
"I hope that thing doesn't realize where i am otherwise i could contract a mild case of death...." he thought as the flames travelled into the sky.

 

Genservant realized that no one was listening to him, forgot I'm not a commander in the army anymore, dang it! He thought, and released the fire energy he had gathered, which flew strait towards the monster's "feet".

 

After the numerous attacks of the fighters, Phalanx's Hoplites where now down to 17 but the remainder still attacked strong. They had no emotions or true conciousness and combined with their hunger for souls they where violent till the end. The spears continued being thrown at Phalanx's attackers as they have since the start.

OOC: Also, keep to real physics and your set powers. I wouldn't want to have to suspend people from entering a round for a week.

 

OOC: are you talking to me? because I stated that my character had control over fire, and every single power I have used is some form of fire, if you want me to power down my use of fire, then I will do that.

 

OOC: No he's talking to me but i'm using my power of Heat to increase the productivity of cells in my body so that they can repair a wound in Kyles arm. Sorry. Consider it edited.

BIC: Kyle continued to funnel fire into the atmosphere and as he did so the air became lighter and cloud cover swarmed the sky and rubbed against each other, as if traffic from a city had taken to the Skies....

 

OOC: If the body was able to produce such heat then the body would've been able to adapt to such heat in which case it wouldn't Denature the enzymes but vastly increase it's abilities of repair and reproduction due to the fact that it has less worry of regulation of tempurature of the cell itself.

BIC: Kyle Continued and glanced down to see starrk holding it at bay as expected. He could feel the static in the air and he could hear Thunder rolling in the sky...."Absolutely Perfect...just a little more..." he thought as he felt a certain comfort....

 

OOC: Late entry but meh I've been busy.

IC:
Akane had been waiting quietly in the shadows, observing the monster's movements and tactics. She slipped back so she was directly behind the monster, then charged at it with her wrist claws ready.

 

Akane's sneak attack managed to catch a Hoplite off guard and kill it with a sneak attack (ooc: lol Demon's Souls combat system). Soon after a nearby Hoplite on Phalanx threw a spear at Akane in retaliation while Starrk's attacks hit Phalanx and some Hoplites. The few Hoplites hit where greatly damaged but still alive.
Noticing that his foes where preparing for larger attacks, Phalanx started to resurrect his fallen Hoplites. The number rose from 16 to 24 in a few moments. Shortly after, the Hoplites became more aggressive with their spears and attacked Kyle, Starrk, Akane and Genservant. Xengla was not a target as she had not got it's attention.

 

Genservant backflipped, dodge-rolled, and leaned back, as a spear flew strait towards his face, before sending a stream of fire right towards the demon.

 

OOC: "the matrix move" is what I mean by not human physics unless it's your power which would be the ability to slow down time for moments using mental awareness and superhuman strength and durability to maintain the jump and the fall depending on the height.

 

Akane swore, and put her claws up in front of her in the shape of an X to defend from the spear. It hit hard, but was deflected. Akane swore once more, seeing that the monsters were attacking more aggressively now. She fought of the ones near her, but barely. Quickly, she came to a decision.
"Everyone," she shouted, "Get clear, I'm going to trap this bastard by destroying the roof!"
