[UPDATED WEEKLY] Monster of the Week

Kouri was hit by the water, and thrown into the air, but she quickly began to use her power to freeze the water, stopping any more from hitting her, and fell to the water below.

 

The Unagi was hit with the fire ball and began spraying his water jet stream at the buildings in which the attack came from as the shooter pre-emptively dodged the incoming attack.

 

Kouri came to the surface, drenched with water, and stading on top of a miniture glacier that she had created. "Blasted beast," she muttered, and began to freeze the water around the creature, trying to hold it in place.

 

Akane roared and used her tail to create a small wave to knock into the serpent to get it to stop shooting water.
"Test your aim on me, you damn snake!" she growled at the beast, and swiped at it again, but narrowly missed. Closing her eyes, Akane dove at the snake with her jaws open, hoping to catch it in her mouth again, but the sudden appearance of ice made her stop and slam into it instead.
"What the hell are you doing?" she growled.

 

"Gah! Jesus! That thing's aim is incredible!" Xengla remarked, seeing the remains of the roof that she was on only a few minutes ago. If I'm going to help, I better stay on my toes. Xengla thought as she made her way a little closer to the water. She could see the dock now, with many boats now trashed, but still moored somehow. Ah...ran into bit of an ice problem. "Well....they can just tell me where to melt later." Xengla said to herself, as she launched a stream of fire to the Unagi again.

 

Being hit by the attack of Akane had thrown the Unagi's aim to her as she roared. It simply watched after she had hit the ice, swaying it's head from side to side with it's jaws wide open. It was clearly going to strike again. Suddenly, it was hit with fire again. It's aim was confused from the different directions of the attacks of Akane and Xengla. With the added confusion caused by the blockage of ice that was doing friendly fire, the Unagi became lost in what to attack next and began thrashing around in the water uncontrollably causing large waves of water to fly about and drag debris onto the water and ice.

 

Akane recovered from hitting the ice, then watched as the beast flailed in the water, breaking apart the ice around it. Thinking quickly, she picked up a large pointed piece in her mouth, then hurled it at the Unagi, effectively stabbing it with the ice.
While it was distracted by the ice spear in it's body, Akane rushed forward quickly and grabbed the beast behind the head with her jaws, and bit down as hard as she could, trying to break it's neck from the pressure.

 

The Unagi was mortally wounded by the ice just before the crushing power of Akane's jaw sealed it's fate. The body sank to the bottom of the ocean floor after being released. It left a trail of thick blood.

Other: This giant eight-headed monster has a body is "as big as a mountain" with a giant bell that holds its life force, although each head also has its own separate source of vitality. Each head must be defeated before the bell can be attacked. Two heads can also attack the same target. It is impervious to damage unless given the specially brewed 8 Purification Sake.

Location: The Grand Canyon

ROUND 7 START

Orochi rose from the ground inside the canyon, his eight heads began watching the surrounding tourists. Each one of the heads then began to roar and show off it's element which smashed nearby rockfaces and destroyed tourists in a manner of different ways.

The fire head scorched any human that came close and turned them to ash.
The lightning head fried any human in the distance.
The Earth head smashed rocks and shook the ground causing massive damage to the canyon and also crushing any tourist too close.
The wind head blew away lots of ground and tourists that where in range of sight.
The water head drown humans and made deep pools of water where the Earth head had cracked the ground.
The poison head poisoned the humans in the area giving them a painful death.
The light head struck at humans with beams of light.
The darkness head obliterated anyone within it's range and corrupted the ground.

 

Genservant ran accrossed the wall of the Canyon, first a flying swordsman, then a vine-creature, an ice titan, what now? He wondered to himself, as he ran in to see what he could do.

 

"Ah! The Grand Canyon! One of many tourist traps in the United States. Nothing but a giant hole in the ground with ridiculously steep cliffs. However, I suppose this wasn't a bad spot for a vacation. Plus, the heat is just right." Xengla remarked to herself. She shuddered at the memory of the last monster, the Unagi. All that water....well, not a chance anymore. After all, this place is like a desert. Except for the river far below, of course. Suddenly she felt the earth beneath her feet become unstable as it shook. "Wait! Wait! This wasn't supposed to happen!" Xengla managed to jump back to stable ground, as the place where she had just been standing crumbled and fell into the canyon. She noticed there was mass mayhem not too far from where she was. Great. What are the odds another monster HAPPENS to sprout up at the place where I was vacationing? "Those people....it's killing all of them....I've got to do something." And with that, Xengla was off. What the....a snake? With 8 heads? Wait...I've heard of this story before. This is supposed to be a myth. Why is it real? As she continued to observe the monster, she noticed the symbols on each head. Crap. Don't know Japanese.....but wait....some of them look like Chinese characters. Fire, Light, Earth, Poison....Water.... "I'll go deflect fire. I'll see what I can do with water later..."

 

Orochi's first head, the head of fire, sprang into action as the wolves drew near. With it's flaming breath it caused the wolves to heat up and explode before they reached the near by heads. It only managed to defeat three.
The lightning head managed to destroy two more wolves.
While the Earth head managed to finish the rest off, except one. The last wolf hit the Earth head square in the face, causing an explosion. But nothing had happened. Not a single scratch.
Finding the summoner of the wolves, the wind head launched a hurricane-like blast of foul wind at Starrk.
The water head continued the cause the surrounding area to turn to a lake. The water was half the height of an average human now but it was hardly high enough to hinder Orochi at all.
The poison head continued to kill any who came near or fled with it's plague-like breath.
The light head began shooting beams at the Genservant, recognising it as someone who would attack.
The darkness head chose to attack Xengla for the same reason as the light head. It spewed darkness at her.

Akane watched the beast Orochi from a distance. "It would seem that the legends are true..." she thought to herself. Closing her eyes, she effortlessly changed into her massive wolf form, then charged towards the Canyon. As she ran, she tipped back her head and let out a deafening howl.

 

"Gah!" Xengla managed to flee from the attacks of the Dark head of Orochi. Darkness! What'll happen if I get hit? Suddenly, she heard the howl of Akane in the distance. "Ahhhhhhh!" Xengla shouted covering her ears and wincing. At least a new ally has joined us. I think. Surely that wolf will do more damage than we possibly could. Her ears stopped ringing after a few seconds. Xengla decided to throw a stream of fire at the Water head, hoping to get it to stop spewing water. The rocks might erode and fall....

 

All the heads of Orochi winced at the sound of the new wolf opponent. It gave Orochi flashbacks to his defeats against another wolf. The bell on his back shook.
In anger, the fire head burst out a large torrent of flames towards Akane.
The water head was hit with fire and simply shrugged it off. Fire was powerless against water and in turn the water head retaliated at Xengla with a jet stream of water.
The other heads continued to thrash around and attack as they had before. The Grand Canyon was slowly becoming a corrupted wasteland even if it was now flooded and semi-crumbled.

 

OOC: I'm out for this week, I have no clue what the heck this monster is, and it seems to be unbeatable unless we have a character with that thing you mentioned, so I'm out.
BIC: Genservant fell unconsious from the sight of the monster, but landed behind a big rock, where the monster wouldn't find him.

 

"Awww n-" Xengla wasn't fast enough to dodge away from the stream of water and was hit full on. She landed a distance away from where she was previously standing. Xengla was winded from the impact of hitting the ground from that kind of force and struggled to catch her breath, slowly standing up precariously, her knees wobbling. She coughed up some water from her lungs and pondered on what to do next. Geez.....it just shrugged it off like it was a mosquito bothering it. There's got to be another way to stop this thing quickly before the canyon gets more wrecked. This place has got a lot of fossils too. It'd be horrible if they got destroyed.

 

The eight headed monster continued to destroy the area. It also seemed to be burrowing in a way as dark clouds began to gather around the canyon from the corruption. It was as if it was changing the land itself into another location.

 

Gah...not good. I can't do anything. Xengla got over herself and stood up straight. She cupped her hands and shouted to Akane as loud as she could. " Do something will you?! I think you're the only one who can! Quickly now, before something terrible happens!" With that, Xengla decided to try and escort as many survivors away from the area.
