Here's a few BBCode/HTML tricks that can be used on posts/signatures:

    • Posting profanity without it getting censored:

    • Posting BBCode examples without using code boxes: See Makaze's post.

    • Breaking lines in signatures without adding count to the line limit, this only works for Premium members:

    • Bypassing the minimum number of characters check for posts:

In other words; How to create loopholes around the rules.

I am reporting these loopholes so that staff can get around to fixing them.

The second is actually a built-in function.

HTML is allowed in the signatures of Premium members. Thank you for this information.

Ah, I will be using this for sure.

EDIT: And yeah, being able to use HTML in signatures is not documented in the Premium Benefits Q & A.

Trust me, we know about them. We mostly just trust the members not to over use them. And if they do we can moderate it.

While we are at it actually there is a second character count workaround. Placing a bunch of spaces together will get reduced down to one, just make sure there is a character after the spaces, otherwise it doesn't count. Might not be as clean but it is easier to pull off.

I think that is a very good attitude toward your members.

But can that produce an empty post???

    • Another preferred method for this is using colour tags. That way you don't disrupt the font.
All that is need to bypass a censored word is that it is interrupted in some way, not matter how it is done.

You can even use the same colour that the text is already coloured in so you don't disrupt the flow of text at all and it looks natural and like it's meant to be there.

      For example:

      [COLOUR="red"]I can't [COLOUR="red"]f[/COLOUR]ucking believe it, it works![/COLOUR]

And a working result with the actual code is...
I can't fucking believe it, it works.

Well, hardly anyone ever abuses these things really even though they exist, and as an example of the swearing thing ever being used properly in my experience is mainly in the RP-arena (it isn't exclusive to it mind you, but you follow what I mean) on occasions where it is called for and in character, and even then it is sparingly used anyway. That is usually down to the rules of the specific RP too as the thread master has deemed appropriate.

As Mixt said, these can be moderated if ever needed anyway. So no harm is done really lol

But yes. Our staff is very trusting and awesome like that. XD

I was using the Opera browser as of time of writing the opening post and I didn't realize the font tag was disrupting anything. Edited it to look better.

No but I'm not sure when you would want a completely empty post other than for showing off that it is possible.
