i personally think that most of the equipment in kh2 is underrated. I mean if youve noticed, lets say Oblvion for instance, it had a strength of 11 in the first game, but in kh2 it dropped to 6. and also, lets say ur weapon gives u a strength bonus of 6 and ur strength is 50 without Oblivion equipeed, meaning to say, is it some kind of toothpick compared to your strength? lol? i dunno, tell me what u think :D

Weapon steanths always make a big difference. Just equip your Oblivion "toothpick" and compare it to the "thumb tak" which I call Sweet Memories...

What takes 3 to 4 hits to take down... suddenly take 5 or 6 hits. Meaning even the littlest difference in power makes a big difference.

Its only just a bonus to make you stronger. Thats what I think.

thumb taks are stronger than toothpicks...they dont break.

i used cheats and did this experiement for myself. it turns out that your Weapon Strenght means ALOT more than your raw Strength statistic. i raised my strength to maximum, but it still didn't do much, until i equipped Ultima Weapon.

But being stabbed by one hurts less...

But if you inssist... Sweet Memories is a narrow piece of yarn...

Seriously a few damage points difference is the difference between a tough battle and an easy win.

    well compare this:
hits per second in kh2 (every hit sora can make involving oblivion. -yes this includes final form)
    hits per second in kh1

with all the abilities for smashing and crushing in kh2...I'd say the effectiveness of the oblivion keyblade no matter if its weaker in kh2 is the same, if not, better. you have to take in account that sora's attack in kh1 is like: ha...ha...ha...ha...

and in kh2: hahahaha! ha! hahah! HHHHHAHAHAHAHHHAAAHAHHAHAA

the "ha's" represent sora's screaming as he smacks. and the capitalized "ha's" are a finishing combo.

I dont really think it matters...plus, you can synthesize your way to perfection by making power bands, adding str...etc...

I noticed that when I changed keyblades from Oathkeeper to Oblivion my strength almost doubled! Too bad Ultima weapon in KH2 is kinda lame...even though it is the one I use the most...and why isn't it the uber weapon it was in KH? In KH Ultima had all the abilities put together and had the best stats...in KH2 it doesn't have the best strength or magic. It's just the best balanced weapon.

Well, Sora grew a lot, and the Key Blades stayed the same.
So the Stats of them in comparison between games had to change.

but it IS the only way for Sora to gain the MP Hastega ability.

The ability is what counts, the stats don't help like in KH1.

J'D.129 could you not dredge up old threads! You keep doing it.
The most underrated equipment is the elemental protection gear like the ribbon.

i never thought of the stats when i use equipment, i think of rhe ability. and im guessing in kh1 it still would be a 'toothpick'
