Undefined Ending: Earths last days

Church opened his eyes. "I'm fine." he said shyly. He looked at her and his expression changed. "You look like someone I used to know. Her name was Miranda. You're Kaia, right?"

OOC: as far as i am concerned, Church only "knows" Trent. I think.

 

"Yeah, that's me. Church, Trent called you, isn't it? Nice to meet you" Kaia smiled warmly at him.

 

"Nice to meet you too." Church said nervously. He saw her smile and looked away quickly. He wasn't too good with emotions, or his own for that matter. "You want to fill me in on what's been happening?" he asked, trying to look less of a nervous wreck.

 

Kaia raised her eyebrows, "Basically, we fought Rain and he ended up dead. That answer your question?"

 

"Yeah." Said Church confused. "You people aren't up to much lately are you?"

 

Kaia laughed, "Perhaps, perhaps not. It gets a little hectic around here sometimes"

 

"I guess.. I could get used to that." Church said smiling.

 

Kaia grinned, "Good, so you'll be sticking around then?"

 

He laughed, for the first time in a year. "Yes, for a little while. As long as we can get out of all of this alive, i'll be happy. Funny, you are the first one to make me smile in some time." He said a bit lightly. "You have quite the cheerful personality." Church said with a little smile on his face.

 

"Really? Well, you've got to be positive in times like these, it keeps you going and gives you the will to survive" Kaia smiled warmly at him.

 

Church dropped his facial expression. "I am trying to be positive. With someone like you, it will be easy to do." He said. He was calm now. He felt more comfortable, having a new friend.

 

Seth just stood there, watching Church and Kaia talk. Being a person of darkness and stealth, he was hardly ever noticed. He took out a shuriken and started moving it back and forth between his fingers, trying to satisfy his boredom. He carefully watched it with both his blue eye and his red eye on the scarred side of his face.

 

Kaia smiled, "Glad to be of help" She looked up and saw Seth in the corner, "You okay too?"

 

"Yeah, I'm fine," said Seth. "Just bored." He stopped the shuriken and put it back with the rest of them. He closed his eyes and began to think for a bit. Why did Rain kill himself? he thought.

 

Church was thinking to himself too. "I can't uderstand how she looks so much like Miranda... just another friend i was forced to lose. At least she's still alive... Dammit Tyson..." He started to tear up again.

 

Trent coughed into the awkward depression in the room.

Furtim looked at Cat, "are you ready for me to take you back to base or not? I'm going back pretty soon, and if you're left behind I'm not comming back for you," He looked around, "that goes for everyone else still out here in five minutes!"

"Hey Trent, where am I in this plan of yours?" Church asked curiously, hiding his sadness.
